Yuck! Stay away!
I went to enjoy the UFC night, excited to have crawfish AND UFC in one place! But this is not a winner, at all.
The atmosphere in here is so strange. Even with plenty of people, it felt dead and empty. The design of the restaurant is not conducive to sports fans. It wasn't packed anyways though... The sound too, awful!! Maybe it's nit-picky, but the main point of eating here is for sports, and the echo going on inside made it impossible to understand what was being said. They also had a couple second delay on half the TVs, which made viewing and listening a total nightmare. This is totally unacceptable for a sports spot.
The crawfish...eh. Incredibly salty, the spicy was not very spicy, and half of them tasted fishy, which is never good. They serve melted margarine instead of real butter. It's just gross. 3 lbs was more than enough. I've had worse, but there's also much better locally.
I wanted to eat more and enjoy the fights, but the rest of the menu is a horrifying cross between fried bar food and Cajun and Midwestern. It all sounded horrible and nothing I saw looked or smelled good.
Service was very slow, despite many waiters and waitresses milling around aimlessly.
We left after 20 minutes to enjoy the rest of the night at Buffalo Wild Wings and will never return. Yikes!
I grew up in Louisiana and have lived in the Clear Lake Area for the last 9 years. Â Crawfish is usually hit or miss around here, mostly mediocre. Â Not spicy enough, over or under cooked, etc. Â I went and tried Wolfies today and was surprised that they actually offered a choice of mild, medium and spicy. Â I ordered the spicy with their extra seasoning. Â It was the best crawfish I have had in this area by far. Â Reminds me of the boils we had back home. Â Wonderful! Â I recommend you check this place out. Â My wife had the burger w/salad and she said it was really good. Â Clean place, good service and the music is a lot of classic rock (which I liked). Â This is now my go-to place for crawfish. Check it out!
