One thing to know is I love wine, so how could I not love this place? It has a huge selection of wines by the glass (and bottle) and a very stylish atmosphere. I had ready the reviews that said it was really busy during the week, but we got there at about 5:30 on a Tuesday night and there were only a few other people there.
We went with a white wine flight and each had an additional glass. The very generously poured wine flight was great and only $12. We got the happy hour house wine white and red and they were also very good. Some of the wines by the glass seemed a little pricey for the place, but I'm sure they are high quality.
The only negative is that there is a very limited menu of tapas style items. This is not a place to go if you are hungry, but it is a great after work place, blind date place, start of the night place, or end of he night place.
I'm looking forward to coming back for their Wednesday wine tasting. (they also had a sake tasting going on that night, but we had to go, I was disappointed, hope they do it again!)
And beer drinkers fear not, there is a nice selection of bottled beer for you too!
I love the stylish setting, quiet atmosphere, smoke-free. It's a wonderful spot for a drink before or after dinner, and a great place to catch up with friends.
Setting is very stylish but not uptight. People were wearing the full-range of garb.
Very comfortable and upscale. Will definitely be back more often and recommending to friends.
A very good oasis of wine any day of the week. It is generally quiet on weekends so I would recommend coming here to start your Saturday night or a last glass of wine on Sunday before the work week begins.
The interior is urban trendy with couches, bar tables, or a bar. Zin Urban has ~40 wines by the glass to chose from with ~10 select wines by the glass only. Every Wednesday Zin Urban has wine tasting events ($15). Â If you're looking to try something new but don't want to buy an entire bottle, these events are good. Â Also Zin Urban has wine flights ($15 for three different wines) and some good appetizers. I've had the white bean hummus ($4.50) and stuffed figs ($7.50). Â Zin Urban has platters of meats and cheeses but I have not tried these so I can't comment on how good or bad they are; however, as with everything else with Zin Urban, I expect the platters are great. Â
I would highly recommend Zin Urban has a "get to know you" date spot as it is not too noisy and the music sets the right mood. Â This is also a good place just to hang with friends. Â There are only two complaints I have. Â The first is parking. Since Zin Urban is in the River Market area, there is not a lot of street parking. I would suggest the parking garage nearby, otherwise you be driving around for a while. My second complaint is no patio area. Â Due its location, a patio is not an option. Â Overall I love this place and it is one of my favorites in Little Rock.
