Looked like a nice place to eat. Decor was almost upscale, very nice. Seated as soon as we arrived. Waited about 20 minutes for our order to be taken. A little longer than expected but the food should be good right.? Wrong- completely let down. We ordered simple lunch fare-Kobe burger, filet mignon BLT, and kids chicken & burger. Nothing we had was good. Burgers were extremely greasy and tasteless. Filet BLT was a failed attempt at what could have been a great sandwich if one could distinguish the bacon from the paper thin beef (filet mignon i assume). Kids chicken tenders were cold. I wish I had that 45 minutes of my life back, what a waste of time and money.
Review Source:I enjoy the Gambrills location so I was excited about the Annapolis one. We went here for my sisters birthday and everything was perfect. The staff was so wonderfully nice ad courteous as soon as I walked in the door they went above and beyond. We came on steak night Wednesday and got a great meal for a grate price. We started with philly steak cheese eggrolls and the shrimp app. Both were tasty and filling. I order the stuffed pork chop stuffed with pears and Gorgonzola cheese. OMG it was so good and the portion size was excellent. I had to take half home. My mother got the Cajun steak she loved it I tasted her steak it looked dry but the favor was there. MY sister order the blacked salmon salad. This is why it got 4 out of 5 stars. The piece of salmon was so small compared to the huge salad. At the end of the night they brought her out a piece of lemoncillo cake she was very happy with. I will defiantly go back again.
Review Source:Decor: The decor of this restaurant is very modern and relaxed while maintaining a sort of sophistication. The booth my family and I sat in was very well lit, yet dim enough to be romantic and subtle. The dark wood of the tables matched with the reds and browns of the restaurant give this place an overall feeling of comfort and relaxation. The background music seemed to be a blend of Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, and other jazz styled musicians. Perfect for keeping the mood light and fresh. Overall, the noise level was kept to a dull roar even with the exterior doors leading to the mall, open.
Service: Our server was Tommy. Attentive, quick, knowledgeable about the menu, helpful and extremely patient. He seemed to always pop up at the right times. Never did he hover, and on the flipside, he was never not to be found. Great service.
Food: No complaints about the food. I ordered the stuffed salmon imperial. It usually comes with veggies and rice, but I opted to have mashed potatoes. The potatoes were light and fresh. Creamy and delicate. The veggies were sauteed green beans and carrots, and they were cooked perfectly. The salmon to say the least was filling. Flaky salmon ( 7 oz. Portion) broiled to my liking, and filled with at least another 5 oz. Of crab imperial. Delicious. The salmon comes served on a bed of imperial sauce. I had to order more of the sauce, it was just that good. We also ordered the ABC rolls. These are egg rolls filled with guacamole, bacon, and chicken. They sound off the wall and they were, but they were absolutely phenomenal. They come served with a pesto peppercorn sauce. I would like to know how to make this sauce at home.
Two thumbs up overall. Great meal, great service, decent pricing for the quality and portion sizing of the food. I would personally recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for something new and refreshing in the Annapolis area.
New addition to Annapolis Mall where the failed Austin Grill once was, now is the Four Seasons Grille (unrelated to the hotel chain).
The menu for wine is pretty fair, and about average for a cup. Their beer menu is good, the pricing is a little higher than I would normally pay, for example Peroni draught was $6.00 per drink.
Food wise is a mix of italian, and Mediterranean, and priced around 10-20 for most dishes. There are steak and other seafood offerings but I choose the Shrimp Scampi. Which was a fair sized dish, the pasta was sort of overcooked, and the sauce wasn't the good. Â However the bread, and olive-oil spread makes up for some of the lacking flavor's from the sauce and sort of aided the dish. Â My shrimp were seasoned well, fresh, and good sized for the price of the dish.
Service was fast and friendly. The cheque comes out in some sort of magnetic book casing, which adds to the experience even further. Â Oh, and the water is placed into a beer like growler and is a nice touch to each table.
Seating is comfortable, has views of the outside / mall and doesn't have too much intrusive noise from the mall. You can sit outside and inside of the restaurant, with some of the seat's on a patio like structure in the mall itself, maybe not the best idea for the style Four Seasons Grille is going for....
I enjoyed my experience, and this place has great atmosphere, it's romantic, and family friendly too. 3 stars.
I was very impressed by this new location. Being a huge fan of the Gambrills location I was very excited for this one to open. I waited for the dust to settle before I visited - I know now, I didn't have to.
I've only been once and sat at the bar so I cannot judge the table service. I went on a Thursday evening to meet a girlfriend and thankfully made it during Happy Hour!
We ordered some signature cocktails which were delicious! They are pricey but they are made well with top shelf liquor so I highly recommend. We also ordered appetizers, Two of my favorites: The Goat Cheese Brûlée and the Mediterranean Platter. Which, if you didn't know... is the best thing on their menu. It's filled with all my favorites Hummus, baba ghanoush, grilled vegetables, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, an eclectic assortment of olives, toasted pita corners. HEAVEN.
The bar staff was so accommodating. Everyone is so friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. Our bartender was great, I wish I could remember his name. He drives motorcycles though! (Ya know, in case that comes up in casual conversation.)
Either way, check them out. Great happy hour - half priced apps. It's at the mall so parking can be a bit tricky. Definitely check it out before a movie!
Went there on a Monday with my husband and two girls and were seated right away.  We were going to be put at a table but I asked for a booth and just had to wait quickly for it to be cleaned.  Our waitress was friendly, maybe a smidge too loud and filled with  fake enthusiasm.  I'm not sure, but its better than being inattentive and rude.
The girls ordered alfredo and spaghetti...both were pretty good and large enough portions at a decent price.  And were brought out  before our entrees, which I like because it keeps them happy and they eat slower than us.  We also had calamari as an app which was crispy and tender with 3 yummy sauces.  My husband ordered a burger with fries- medium rare.  And it was cooked right.  I ordered the 4seasons salad(?)- arugula, pear, goat cheese with a balsamic vinaigrette- pretty good.  Mediterranean seafood pasta(? I think, I can't remember the names) which was pretty good too, it had scallops and shrimp on a bed of fettuccine noodles with a very slightly spicy cream sauce.  I enjoyed that I could get a small portion of it, which I still had to take half home after the salad and app.  I also had a hard pear cider...which was my favorite part.  haha.
The atmosphere was nice even though its in the mall. Â The manager walked around and asked customers if they were satisfied and also seemed to make sure the floors and under the tables were kept clean. Â
We will prob go back to make a more final assessment.
arrived during busy a busy dinner hour on the weekend -- had a 10 minute wait at most while we looked over the extensive menu....
decent wine menu -
excellent Caesar salad --
and even better entree options -- the menu was quite extensive-- with lots of salad, seafood,  chicken and beef options.. . my colleague and I were quite surprised by how delicious everything was, as we were uncertain that such amazing food came out of a mall restaurant and  what used to be Austin Grill.  .
we passed on dessert... -
definitely wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend this welcome edition to the Annapolis Mall...
I'm totally a fan!
The decor was very nicely decorated and roomy but I wish our experiences were better. I have visited this place twice now and each visit seemed to have something go wrong weather it was the food or drinks not properly made.
The first meal I had here started off fine with service seating/greeting from the hostess but as soon as we received our wine I was a bit turned off. Keep in mind I know my wines and was hugely disappointed when the Cab Sav was a bit flat, then the mains arrived, and like the wine, fell flat on its face. My tuna tower was more of  a few teeny tiny overcooked bites of tuna that were quite chewy & flavorless. My husband's burger was ordered at a medium and he received it extremely well done. Needless to say we sent it back and asked for the check.
My second visit was with a girlfriend and she wanted just some desserts & coffee and I thought what the heck ill give them anther try. We ordered two cappuccinos, a lemon cake and the tiramisu. The desserts were amazing but our cappuccinos came out like cold lattes, we asked to have them redone & our waitress came out to tell us she didn't know how to use the machine & told us her manager banned her from remaking them & did it for her. We were a bit taken back by the share of info, led us to believe the staff wasn't properly trained on the restaurants equipment. I have to say I will not be returning for a third strike.
Seeing as how I'm a wagering kinda guy, and seeing as how it's college bowl season, Â I 'll set the over under,as to the longevity of this place, at 4 months, and I fear that that book is optimistic.
Let's start with the basics: We enter at 5:00 on New Year's Eve and are tacitly scolded for not having a reservation. Â This is a mall restaurant, I might remind you, and there are numerous empty tables. After some thespian worthy hand wringing on the part of the hostess and the designated seater, we are immediately seated at a nice round table. The ambiance is OK, and it's cold outside, but the temperature inside is very agreeable. Â But 10 minutes later, someone decides that either the utility bill has been too high of late, or one of the guys with a glowing bourbon tan who has been planted at the bar since the place opened complained that it was too warm. Â Anyway, the A/C was actually turned on, and it quickly became cold enough to hang meat in the place.
We froze for the rest of the evening. Â We were going to complain to our waitress, but she was scarcer than an Illinois politician with a strong moral compass. Â And when she did show up, it was for the duration of a gamma ray burst, i.e. she didn't spend much time with us.
My daughter had finished her dinner by the time the balance of the dinners were delivered to our table. Â The waitress informed us that she put the order for the kid's meal in first, which makes little or no sense to me-why not put all the orders in at the same time? Â
I ordered the Il Cubano, Cuban Sandwich, and in the history of my love affair with Cuban Sandwiches, this is the first and only time I haven't finished the entire sandwich. Â It wasn't very good. Â The bread was nice, but the ingredients possesed a strange chemical taste. Â Everyone else in the party ordered some kind of salad, and none were impressed.
This place posesses no discernible identity. Â And the menu reflects this fact; Â No specialties, no themes, no recurring ingredients. Â The service is bad, and you're likely to suffer frostbite if you happen to check the place out on a cold winter night.
Yea it's a mall restaurant. To start the host was going to call my cell but he somehow "put in the wrong number". The 10-15 minute wait turned into 25 and there were quite a few open tables for a Friday night. Our waiter was very professional however and service was very prompt.
I gave them 3 stars for the food which was just average. Everything was in my opinion overcooked. I had the Ahi Tuna Tower appetizer that was very good but the tuna was way too dry.
We went as a party of 6 on a Saturday evening. The service was just ok. Very disappointed. The food was ok - nothing special. Nothing to rave about and certainly not something to go back to. I had the grilled chicken cob salad - stay away from that. Horribly prepared - no eggs, and only 3 olives on a huge salad plate! Had to search for the tomatoes on my plate!! The cob salad
was basically a plate FULL of lettuce with grilled chicken. The kitchen's answer to this poorly prepared salad was to send more eggs!!
If you really want to try this restaurant, I would suggest going to their Gambrills location - much nicer.
OK, slow down. First of all, this place is in the mall, which doesn't change a review, but hey, it's in the mall.
We hopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening to check out this "new to Annapolis" restaurant and, well, it was OK.
We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer. I'm not exactly sure why restaurants server odd-numbered portions in appetizers, since so many people split, but this was OK. The dipping sauce was a bit watered down, but all in all, it was a decent start to the meal.
I ordered the chicken cordon bleu and my dining partner ordered the pepper steak. Both entrees came nicely cooked, but were extremely rich and very salty. (I don't mind salty, or rish by themselves, but some people do.) In any event, they were prepared nicely and we ate pretty much everything on our plate... except for the raw beans and "julienned" carrots. The mashed potatoes and polenta side we ordered were good.
Atmosphere is TGI Friday-ish, but comfortable and reasonably quiet. Our only complaint about the service was the rapid-fire food delivery followed by the dessert request and immediate delivery of the check. We felt rushed; it would have been nice if they gave us five minutes before the check.
$80 before tip for an appetizer, three drinks, and two entrees. Was it worth it? Not really, but it doesn't mean the meal was all that bad.
It's pretty high on my new favorite restaurant list but I wonder if that's only due to the fact that they just opened. Â We will see.
Upon entering for lunch, my two sons (5 months and 3 years old), were graciously welcomed by staff for a late lunch. Â We were seated in a place I was able to leave the stroller by us, very convenient. Â
Gus sat in a high chair today, sometimes he fancies them, and Victor joined after he awoke from his nap in his infant car seat. Â It was fun, me and my two high chair boys. Â Gus had a cheese flatbread (great kids menu) and I ordered a Mediterranean appetizer that came with hummus, baba ganoush, olives, mozzarella, zucchini/eggplant, and pita chips. Â The foor was remarkably fresh, the staff was specific, used my sons names and were kind. Â I enjoyed the whole experience. Â
I will be back, I hope they stay consistent. Â
They have a 10% military discount too!
Let me first say that if I hadn't gone to the original 4 Seasons in Gambrills, I would probably be giving this one a 4-star, but honestly, this one is just "ok" in comparison. While the set up is cool (connects to the mall, but for the most part feels separate save for the tables right near the mall corridor) and the meals are solid, the portion-size is smaller and the presentation pales in comparison. Â Our server was very kind and knowledgable about the menu, but once a larger table came in his area, he got a little overwhelmed and started to neglect our table a bit (in part, because we were just a table of two I am guessing). Â We were headed to a movie, so having to wait and wait and wait to get our check wasn't doing us any favors. Â All in all, if I were at the mall and wanted a nice restaurant, I would definitely check out 4 Seasons Grille again, but if I were just in the mood for good food and proximity to the mall wasn't a factor, I would take the Gambrills location every time. Â Just a way better experience all the way around.
