We read a article in Broward blog about their new menu. Tried to do a dinner and movie thing, since the movie theater is upstairs.(best theater in the area) The restaurant is very nicely designed, the bar lounge area very comfortable. Service was not too great. Server forgot a drink order and did not apologize.Soup was not hot. The salmon was overcooked with not so fresh shrimp on top and took awhile to get our entrees, even though it was not so busy. Nobody really was wowed about the food. The music was a little intrusive. We almost missed our movie, so we had to skip dessert and coffee. Nice outside bar.
Review Source:My  husband and I had our wedding reception at the 51 Supper Club and it was the best decision we could have ever made.  The romantic decor alone had us sold and, once we did our tasting it confirmed our decision.  The Filet Mignon is to die for, the Grilled Salmon melts in your mouth and the Marilyn salad set the perfect tone before the entree. My wedding guest were so pleased by the staff, food and, decor a few have decided to have private parties at this location. The 51 Supper Club has definitely become one of my husband and I favorite places to dance, dine and have a good laugh.
Review Source:A few girlfriends and I dined here for my 24th birthday while staying in WPB and overall I'd recommend it!
Pros:
The service - they were quick, attentive, and knowledgable. They really made the experience 10x better. Our guy wasn't bad to look at either!
The drinks - very reasonably priced. Wine is $10-12 a glass, martinis etc were about $10.
The bread and all that it came with - YUM.
Calamari App - just fantastic. Perfectly cooked and lovely sauce.
The steak - I base this on the steak alone. We all had filet and it was PERFECTLY cooked and melted in your mouth.
Asparagus - perfect.
Duck - one girl got the duck for dinner and is still raving about it! Highly recommend.
Cons:
It took awhile to get the menus. This didn't bother me at all since I was looking at the drinks but some were impatient.
Crab cake App - it's one crab cake for $14......... Really?
Onion soup - too salty!
Sauce on filet - just didn't care for it, your steak is good enough to stand on it's own!
Potatoes - needed to be whipped more, on the fence here they still did the job.
OVERALL - Give it a try!! The ambiance is fantastic, lovely waiters, and awesome food. It's worth it.
Very interesting art deco decor. Had somekind of 1920's black and white movie vibe. Â Although I really don't know what vintage art deco is
Ate here  for a business dinner with a  handful of engineers.  It was a Tuesday night and the place was empty which was good for us because we looked pretty out of place.  This Place looks real romantic.
overall the food was good. They had a decent beer selection and I had the sesame seared ahi tuna that was delicious. Â I didn't hear any complaints from anyone.
The menu also included all of the usual wines and cocktails of a nice romantic restaurant and featured a little reading lite LED for the old folks that can't see so well in the dark.
I was recently brought here as a surprise from a few of my friends for my upcoming 29th Birthday. Â
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor and great music playing.
Mentioned in a previous review, she was spot on about the 'tacky' female uniform top. There was only one female server wearing this top, and the rest of the servers had on regular tops. Weird, but interesting.
The lobster was out of this world. The best I've had in the area, in a long time.
Having a nice selection of seafood and broiled fish was very refreshing. The music and the atmosphere were very upscale and we all had a lot of fun. Â Our server was very attentive and before we left, the entire kitchen and staff had come over to get their photos taken, being science fiction fans and daytime soap opera fans, as they were. Â The laughter throughout the restaurant was contagious and soon we found ourselves sitting with the manager and having more Cosmo's and wine brought to the table.
My dear friends surprised me with a cake that had only 21 candles on it. (so sweet) and then another server added a big huge number 8 in the middle, from the next door whole foods- or where-ever he got it from. Â
Ambiance was a  solid 10. I recommend dining here for a special birthday or anniversary.
Bathroom check: Â very nice CLEAN bathroom. You may know from previous reviews, how fussy I am about bathrooms. :)
Not the great european cuisine like when they first opened! I do not know if they are under new ownership or what, but the new menu not very special, Â food quality went way down from when we were there back in July 2010 and service only ok. Will not be returning to this establishment.
Review Source:51 Supper Club has great atmosphere and service. Another pro is that it's in my local area. Although the menu is well done and service is top notch, I feel that the food quality and inventiveness of dishes could be improved. I was impressed by the decor and the friendliness of the owner/manager (?) circulating the restaurant. I don't feel that the prices match the food quality but I suppose you're paying for the gorgeous decor!
I would recommend giving it a try for the atmosphere and entertainment, dress up and make it a date night!
I would love to see some local seafood and beef options on the menu or some organic, healthful dishes.
If you plan to dine at 51 Supper Club and Lounge - and you really should - there are two things you must do. Â First, lose the jeans and shorts and put on a lovely dress or shirt and tie so you look worthy of the beautiful decor - luscious floor to ceiling purple velvet drapes, comfortable settes upholstered in a brushed silver grey fabric, numerous chandeliers with contemporary dropped glass crystals, and glamorous flower arrangements on the bar. The second thing you must do is ask for the fabulous Sebron, who is truly one of the attractions at this restaurant. Â Gracious, fun, and flamboyant, he will take very good care of you during your meal. Â As will everyone: from the hostess to the manager, everyone here is pleasant and attentive. Â Alas, we visited early on a Tuesday, so I can't write about the live entertainment or the noise level. Â When we arrived, we were promptly seated in the lounge area as the dining room was empty and we wanted to people watch. Â The wine list is filled with drinkable, popular wines that are reasonably priced. Â There is also a selection of popular domestic and imported beers and list of specialty cocktails. Â
We were drinking champagne and it was served nicely cold in chilled glasses. Â Sebron brought a selection of warm breads and a tray with a whipped honey butter, olive oil, and (my favorite) a white bean dip flavored with garlic and lemon. We started with mozzarella en carozza - a savory cross between a grilled cheese and french toast. Â The wedges of light, soft bread seemed to have been batter dipped and fried. Â When you dug into this treat with your fork, mozzarella oozed out. Â Tomato sauce accompanied it. Â It was difficult to choose an entree - roast duck served with whipped sweet potatoes and braised red cabbage? Rack of lamb with sage and rosemary and truffled whipped potatoes? I settled on a filet. Â While there was a bit of a wait between the appetizer and entree, it was just enough time to chat a bit more with Sebron, take in the beautiful setting, enjoy our champagne, and people watch. Â Truthfully, food this good takes time - our entree was beautiful: a generous serving of crisply grilled asparagus, a piped cluster of fluffy truffled mashed potatoes, a perfectly cooked and tender 8 oz filet atop wild mushrooms and sauce, with a cipollini onion for garnish. Â For dessert we were served the New York New York cheesecake. Â I love cheesecake and this was unlike any other I've had. Â It was tall, very light, and creamy with a perfect flavor that was accentuated by the not too sweet strawberry sauce that decorated the plate. Â The graham cracker crust was crisp - not soggy. Â A great end to very enjoyable meal.
I'm not sure how long 51 Supper club has been open, but there are still a few kinks to be worked out...
The awesome:
The food! Â Salads, soups, lobster, vinegar based coleslaw, all great.
The decor! Â The space is beautiful, and the seating is comfortable. Â The concept of chic 50's style supper club is evident
The needs improvement:
The service. Â We were served by no less than three people, and things were very slow, even though 25% of the tables were filled on the Monday after Christmas
The Wine list and the server's knowledge of the list. Â One of our various servers continuously offered wines that we were not interested in...the head of the table asked for dry wines, and we were offered sweet. Â There were also wines on the list they did not have in stock. Â There was a good recovery when the head of the table was offered samples of many of the wines without a commitment to buy the entire bottle.
The uniforms. Â For women. Â There is a black pant/skimpy top that appears the standard uniform for the women who work there while the men wear dress shirts and vests. Â The look is trashy, not classy and made our server look out of place as compared to her male counterparts.
Overall, a good dinner, but I probably wouldn't return unless I knew I had a dedicated (well dressed) server who was quite attentive
