I used to live bout two blocs away from Accu Billiards, and I enjoyed every time I went there. As I being a minor, I dont really know what to compare this pool hall to, but I'll do my best.

The location is perhaps the worst one could think of. Its in the North End of New Bedford, Which is never where people go for "fun". Its right off the highway, and you can smell the burning rubber from the parking lot.

When you walk in, its like a god damn morgue. There's, on a good night, ten or twelve patrons occupying over about thirty pool tables. One would think that if they had thirty pool tables , they would be using more than three on average, per night.

It's quiet most of the time because no one really feels like coughing up the two bucks for a few choice extras on the juke box.

The service isn't spectacular. but it's average. They have a snack area where they sell pretty good sandwiches and pizzas, the normal bar food. But some of the time, the guy who mans the little knook isnt even there. If there going to have a little window where you buy your game and your drinks, there should probably be another person in the equation.

The prices for balls for the pool table go for about 1 hour. Their prices for that one hour are great for only like four or five bucks.

But the problem with Accu Billiards is that there is no character. This is one of the only places where the atmosphere kills it to the end, to the point of no return,

I am pleased to submit the first review of Accu Billiards!  My friend and I went here on a recent Friday night.  The reason this place gets 5 stars is because it takes trashy to a whole new level, and there's some places where I like it trashy: pool halls, bowling alleys, pawn shops, dive bars, yes!
Prices are per person, per hour.  It was $4/hour for us on Friday night, so we paid $8 for the hour we played.  Many of the top pieces of the pool cues are flawed -- tip worn down or the plastic near the tip split.  If you are serious about having a nice pool cue, you might want to bring your own.  The tables seemed to be in fairly good shape though.
The clientele was quite a mix!  Teenagers, numerous girls in stripper heels, an old cop who gave my friend a hard time ("I know you!  I've been a Dartmouth cop for 25 years!"), employees who straight up stare at you the whole time -- awesome.  There's a jukebox and the music we heard that night included both Biggie and the Allman Brothers.  This place has PBR on tap!  Need I say more?
If you want a kinda seedy pool playing experience (the *only* kind to have, in my opinion), this is the place to go.  There are tons of tables and a huge parking lot (watch out for broken glass in the lot).  They also have cheap punk/hardcore shows on a regular basis, but we didn't stay for the show.
