Small town appeal in Springfield!

It's been a long time since I've had real home-cooked food at a restaurant. This place delivered in spades! The food was amazing, portions were great, prices were awesome, and the staff was outstanding!

We visited on Friday when they have all you can eat catfish, and it was amazing! The mashed potatoes I had with them were great as well!

I've found my new favorite restaurant in Springfield. If you've not had a chance to check this place out, you need to do yourself a favor and get there now! You won't be sorry!

We came here since it was walking distance from the hotel. It definitely looks old in there. I admit, I didn't have high hopes for the place. While not the best, the portions and price are great.

Seafood Platter - WHAT! When she brought it out I seriously thought it was an order of 2. As I sat there eating it, I kept saying no way is this one order. It literally came with like 3 strips of catfish, 3 strips of cod and a bunch of fried shrimp. While, I would probably not order this again as it's too much food and bit greasy after awhile.

Chicken with Vegetable Cream Sauce - My guy wanted a chicken with spinach sauce, but the waitress said they ran out of spinach and they can make something with vegetable cream sauce. Surprisingly this was good. The chicken was very moist and tender.

If I'm ever in the area, I definitely would come back for the cole slaw. Best cole slaw I ever tasted. I regret not getting some to take back with us....lol!

This place might look outdated, but they have a drive thru service. They also have specials every night of the week.
