Hired allstar "professional" DJ's to DJ our wedding... long story short, we couldnt hear the music 90% of the night. The DJ asked 3 different people for tips. Â They were still setting up when guests arrived. Â they turned on the dance floor lights for about 30 seconds. Â they didnt know what equipment they used (ex. Me: "what kind of mic are you going to use on the acoustic guitarist at the ceremony?" Â DJ: "i dont know... its wireless" Â ... to me a professional DJ should know the ins and outs of their setup)
there were two "DJ's" that showed up. Â the MCing wasnt bad but you'd think one of them could have gone to the middle of the venue and done a sound check. Â we had to repeatedly give the thumbs up sign to turn up the volume during the first dance. Â then i personally had to go to the stage area and let them know to crank it up twice after that. Â i dont know what happened to make them think i only wanted the volume to be cranked up for 10 seconds and then put back down to near-inaudible levels, but thats what they did. Â there was no music played during the cocktail hour which was requested. Â they didnt announce the champagne toast. Â they bummed cigarettes off my guests.... Â too much negative stuff to list here. Â look elsewhere for "professional" DJ's. Â
all in all i wish i saved the $800+ i spent on these guys to play pandora radio and just set up my ipod instead. Â
thumbs down.
