The Alley

The Alley is one of the best bars in town. Great selection of beer and wine, and the staff knows just what to suggest.  Beautifully designed place, with super friendly staff. Don't miss it!

I just love this place. The owners (who do all the dirty work, too) are the friendliest, most welcoming people! And they know their beer. Tastey, tastey beer. The Alley is adorable, clean, well set up, comfortable, I could just go on and on. Plus, their patio seating out back is to die for. A mixture of romantic, modern, and cozy all rolled into one amazing little business.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on the way back to San Francisco from Yosemite and loved the Alley. Even though it was a short stop and we didn't order food we certainly had a great experience. The space itself was beautifully decorated and the service was incredibly friendly.

We spoke with the one of the owners, Flora, and she told us that she and her husband designed and crafted the entire space (and luckily remained married). This wound up being a real bright spot in a town that seemed mostly populated by tourist stops and souvenir shops. Other than the decor and the friendly service, they had a great beer garden and beer selection for a small restaurant.
