I just love this place. The owners (who do all the dirty work, too) are the friendliest, most welcoming people! And they know their beer. Tastey, tastey beer. The Alley is adorable, clean, well set up, comfortable, I could just go on and on. Plus, their patio seating out back is to die for. A mixture of romantic, modern, and cozy all rolled into one amazing little business.
Review Source:My girlfriend and I stopped here on the way back to San Francisco from Yosemite and loved the Alley. Even though it was a short stop and we didn't order food we certainly had a great experience. The space itself was beautifully decorated and the service was incredibly friendly.
We spoke with the one of the owners, Flora, and she told us that she and her husband designed and crafted the entire space (and luckily remained married). This wound up being a real bright spot in a town that seemed mostly populated by tourist stops and souvenir shops. Other than the decor and the friendly service, they had a great beer garden and beer selection for a small restaurant.
The Alley was a great find during a recent trip to Mariposa and Yosemite. The young couple that runs the place were very friendly and provided great service. They serve both craft beers and great wines by the glass. If your not sure what to order they can make recommendations, or better yet order the "samplers" variety!

Flora and Aaron Savage really did put their heart, soul and elbow grease into developing one of the coolest places around for tasty libations and yummy conversation... and it shows. The decor is eclectic and amazing - almost all items are tastefully and creatively repurposed, from the barnwood walls, to the pew bench, to the antique mail room slots, to the Nesbits wine rack, to the corner wall of window shutter art - they have created a very comfortable environment to gather with old friends and new. If you don't know anyone walking in the door, you will find new friends in meeting Flora and Aaron, as they are friendly, warm and open.
I haven't yet tried their beers, but the wine selection is outstanding. I discovered a new local favorite during my last visit. Highly recommend the next time you are heading to the foothills to visit Yosemite, fly at the new zipline park, raft the Merced River or just hang out in Mariposa - one of the coolest little Gold Rush towns around.
Of all the bars located in Mariposa this one definitely stands out as one of the most unique bars I have ever visited. They have quite an interesting selection of drafts and wines which are quite adventurous for an establishment that serves alcohol and Mariposa. They also carry your typical Coors lights and Budweiser's. This place really stands out once you go inside and take a look at the amazing decorations the Edison lights are unique and stunning feature as it is the pulley system that carries the fan when you look up. Their outdoor patio/seating area is also amazing. Once you take in the whole establishment you realize is a lot bigger than what it looks.
I showed up with a couple friends and I wasn't particularly looking for anything to drink but their ACE cider  actually caught my attention So I took a sample of it and I must say I was in love! The bartenders will also take you on a wonderful journey of beer tasting as my friend had experienced when he went there with me.
This place is definitely classy and it is by far my favorite place to have a Relaxing drink with my buddies. They don't  serve any Jack Daniels here but they have more than enough beer and wine selections to satisfy.
