Food was freshly prepared and served well. Not a Hugh menu but ample. Best way to try go to <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> and get a coupon.
No beer license yet so BYOB. There is a liquor store next to it and a shop rite
"A super shop rite is opening, and there's gonna be a Sushi spot, a liquor store, a bank, and yeah there's gonna be a really good pizzeria" Â .....neighborhood friend
Living the life as a Stony Point veteran I was actually looking forward to all of this. Â Well yeah, we actually got a really good sushi take-out joint. Â But the liquor store is extremely overpriced and if that lady asks to see my I.D one more time I'm gonna.......break her face. Â And as for the pizzeria? Â The pizzeria tries. Â It's not bad if you go in for lunch while the REALLY Â loud and aggressive manager on duty watches every move that his completely incompetent staff makes. Â It's actually pretty funny. Â But if you role the dice and get delivery? Â Good luck. Â Here's how my night went.
Them: Â "Amalfi's pizza, how can I help you?" Â
Me:     "Anyway that you can put the bong aside for a minute to take my order?  Oh  you're not stoned?  You're just really stupid, okay let me give you my order while I have an hour.
Them: Â "Wait, did you want a large pie, or regular? Â Oh wait, I got it. Â Um, Â wait what's your name? Â I got your address, uh wait okay, it will be there in 15 minutes. Â Oh wait, you said delivery? Â 40-45 minutes. Did you want a total? Â Ohhhhh, wait. Â It's, ...oh no it's ...plus tax? Â wait uuhhhhh....." Â
You see where all this is going? Â This wasn't just one night, it was a few. Â The delivery kid was awful too. Â There's never a manager there at night either. Â (at least when I called) Â Just a few really bad experiences. Â The pizza isn't awful but never comes well-done like I always order. Â It's a shame because The Point could use a reliable pizzeria, too bad this isn't it just yet. Â I'd tell everyone better places to go to, but then this review would come off skewed. Â Eat there for lunch if you'd like but don't role the dice on the delivery, unless you enjoy playing idiot ping pong.
P.S..Hearing some of the excuse that the "person in charge" gives when a delivery goes wrong is too funny. Â Ex..."The driver must have taken the wrong pizza" Â "Its the delivery guys first night" Â Too funny considering my pie was completely custom while being extra well done. Â And my driver has been the same driver for the last two times I ordered wearing the same stained white Amalfi tee shirt. Â Clean it up Amalfi, you're not in the sticks anymore serving hicks that no nothing about pizza or customer service. Â Although we're in the Point, I can say we pack more smarts in our little toe than the guy answering your phones.
The place just opened in Stony Point, been twice, first time had Chicken Parm... was very plain and service was okay, figured I would give it another try, this time had the Chicken Marsala was very bland with no flavoring and the vegetables tasted oily. I was not impressed.
The food took forever also
OMG!!!  What a breath of fresh air to FINALLY have pizza that stands out above the rest by it's quality, taste and variety.  And by variety I mean variety!  But this place boasts much more than simply pizza, it offers a menu to die for.  The pasta vodka melted in your mouth, the garlic bread is made with a homemade secret paste that,  I have never in my life experienced.  The plethora of choices of various different menu items are impossible to list.  The quality of the food goes beyond outstanding.  You can definitely tell that this is a place that puts serious thought into what goes in to each and every dish and how they want to give the customers a food experience that stands out above the rest.  And that is exactly what the owners of Amalfi Pizzeria have achieved thus far.  From the minute you walk in to this establishment you are greeted with a wonderful ambiance of pure Italian gorgeous tile floors, electronic menu boards, gorgeous color scheme and fantastic decor.  The bathrooms I felt like  eating my dinner in there,  Clean beyond belief which is an excellent tell tale of how an owner keeps the kitchen, the tile was simply stunning.  The owner is beyond friendly, and is often there to oversee the customers pleasure while dining.  This is a MUST TRY restaurant.  Since it is so new, there is no official website developed as of yet.  This establishment although new, is going to become a fixture for years to come.  With food of that quality, and customer service of that caliber, this place is going to shoot right up to the top.  Parking is excellent , the entire establishment is all about supplying the most authentic Italian food and top notch customer service.  I sincerely recommend Amalfi Pizzaria in Stoneybrook, NY, it just opened and it is phenomenal!  Do yourself a favor and go check it out, this will be around for years to come.  Welcome to the neighborhood Amalfi's, I will most  definitely be your first regular!
