AMF in Pines is your typical bowling alley. You're not going to get the fancy schmancy bowling experience like you would at Lucky Strike, but this is the kind of place that reminds you of summer camp field trips and being a kid.
It's great for families, and they have lots of specials through the week to make bowling affordable. The place is surprisingly clean considering how busy they were, and the staff was incredibly helpful. One employee in particular was so sweet and put a smile on everyone's face.
Next time my family goes bowling, we'll probably skip the high prices at the trendy places, skip the crowds at Bird Bowl, and head up to Pines for a family day o'fun.
This place is a dump and the lanes are horrible. Â They use artificial flooring which you cannot slide on and the floors were sticky even though they claimed they had them cleaned the night before. Â I tried this alley twice before I wrote this so as to give it a second chance. Â The first time I went in the morning and I had a free game coupon. Â I've used this coupon at other AMF alleys in the past and they honor it differently than this place does. Â I wasn't expecting to pay as much as I did and the per game cost (unless you are in a league at AMF) is $3.95. Â The second time I went to use their promotion where I could bowl as many games as I want for $5.00 after 9:30pm. Â I got there at 9:40pm and had to wait until after 10pm for a lane b/c their leagues were still bowling. Â Why advertise a promotion starting at a time that no lanes are available? Â Once I got a lane, the floor was very sticky and the lane itself was not great. It was also very noisy and somewhat disorganized. Â If you are a serious bowler and are looking for somewhere to practice, I'd choose another alley. Â There are plenty of other choices.
