My friends and I went to celebrate the marriage of our mutual friend and the night was ok until the bouncer accused a member of our party of breaking a toilet. He was incredibly demeaning and unprofessional to the women of our group and clueless when it comes to doing his job. Amazing how one 29 year old bouncer can ruin a celebration. The drinks and music were good just avoid the restroom if you don't want to be targeted by a overweight bouncer that wouldn't even be cut out to be a mall cop.
Review Source:First you need to know this is a bar not a restaurant so set your food expectations accordingly. Â We had 4 different hot dogs each a bit worse than the one before it. While the hot dog is high quality meat the buns and even the chili were dry (what do you have to do to dry out chili?) We're on a quest to find a good hot dog. This isn't one.
If you want to eat anytime soon place your order when the waitress comes the first time or you won't see her for a good while. We were there around 5:00pm on a Thursday night and there were 8 people in the bar counting us. It took nearly 15 minutes to order than nearly 30 minutes to get it and when we did it was cold. Cold was partly how long it sat at the window waiting for the waitress to finish breaking down boxes and restocking the bar. Â They were out of the bratwurst still waiting for them to come in from Chicago (hey news flash, they sell bratwurst in Texas). The only real upside was even though the waitress wasn't the best she was nice. I wouldn't recommend this place. We will continue our search for a decent hot dog
I came here with a living social. Sometimes I am skeptical to buy deals to places I don't know because I always expect the worse. OMG! I loved it! It was a pleasent surprise. The hotdogs are awesome! I jsut ate the FDR which is just an all american hotdog and it was so tasty. I washed it down with a pineapple mojito that was delicious! My daughter got a frito pie dog that she relaly liked too. Regular prices are a little pricey for hotdogs but definately worth it. I will definately be back! A +
Just so you have an idea on price ....
regular hotdogs (1/4 pound) are about 6-7 dollars
the half pound  hotdog is about 11-12 dollars
I gave it 2 stars because the chipotle pinapple margarita was very good and I loved the political theme. But, there are some problems. 1) I know the teenagers in the table next to me were not old enough to be drinking, clearly they don't check ID. 2) 8 dollars for 8 coctail weenies? $5 for a plain hot-dog with onions? Come for the drinks, the food is clearly an overpriced after-thought. Thank God I had a Groupon. 3) The menu says the Magarita was 6.50 - the final bill charges $7.00. I took the difference off the tip. Watch your menu/tabs for "mistakes" and come on a full stomach and it will be a better experience.
Review Source:Came here with a friend of mine from work that had told me about it but I rarely go out. Â Well from here going forward, this is a great place to chill. Â The floor plan is spacious and the tables are not so close together that you can't move, music is at a great level so you can have a conversation, great tasting hot dog, only had one so far. Â Large beer, liquor, and wine selection. Â Great looking back bar and clean. Â And the bartender is great. Â Prices are good and the restrooms were clean when I went in.
  Plenty of parking out front.
My fellow Americans- Republicans and Democrats unite!
This place is so cool. It's a politically themed pub, with posters of LBJ, JFK, Nixon, and so on. The place has Fox News on the big screen, and sports on the smaller televisions. All of the menu items are politically themed, with hot dogs named after politicians. I was surprised that there was a Walter Kronkite dog, who's not even a politician, but they lacked any dogs named after JFK or Nixon! Gah! And they are missing a hell of an opportunity by not having a hot dog named after Bill Clinton.
They had Live Oak Heffeweizen on tap, on special! $3 a pint, great!
They even offer all kinds of games to play, and trivia going on. We borrowed their dominoes, but they had a wide variety of games.
The place was clean, relaxed and comfortable.
I'll be back!
This bar and grill, nestled in the typical strip mall is about as atypical as they come. Â The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is the total lack of signage at the street. Â Once I found my way in and met my friends, I was delighted with the decor, and stellar service. Â After a few adult beverages, we sampled several hotdogs which were all out of this world. Â Dare I say the best hot dog in SA? Â If you're brave enough to fight the traffic in this area, it's worth a stop (or just a pit stop).
