Silo Elevated Cuisine & Bar

This restaurant is very elegant and the server was professional. We had the salad with Serrano ranch dressing only because they were "out of mussels". That was incredibly disappointing because we try to order mussels whenever possible. The salad was good but needed seasoning because the Serrano makes it bitter.

For the entree, I ordered the shrimp & crab cake with pasta and it was very good. The crab cake was super tall but didn't have too much "filler" of bread crumbs. It was VERY scrumptious. I despise crab cakes with too much peppers/onions/bread so I was delighted that they made it the way I like it.

My husband got the special of halibut and it was good. It wasn't "out of this world" but good flavor. For the price it was a tiny portion.

Past it's prime.  I used to LOVE this restaurant.  I frequented the Austin Hwy location, especially for brunch.  Recently returned to this location for Sunday brunch.  The food was cold, the bread was old, the potatos on the side had obviously been made far earlier that day and the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict had the texture and taste of Grey Poupon.  Nothing tasted fresh.  My bloody mary wasn't even the slightest bit spicy.  Considering their prices and the quality I was used to, this was an abyssmal lunch.  I do not think I'll return.  I miss the old Silo.

Nice menu. Tough to choose what to eat. I had Salmon and they cooked it to my request ( most places do not understand medium rare when it comes to salmon). My dinner mates had scallops, ribs, ribeye, and red fish. no one complained and everyone liked their food. Wine menu was very stacked and covered the world. The caesar salad had a nice piece of fried cheese that I saved and enjoyed with my malbec wine. Even th cappuccino was good. Nice atmosphere and the waiter was attentive without being disruptive. Oh, and when they served us each course, three people came out and served us all at once. That was very impressive.
