I've been here quite a few times and have enjoyed it every time. The two
main reasons are the great beer selection and the atmosphere. A lot of
imports and local beers fairly priced. They usually also have a lot of
great drink specials. The atmosphere is laid back and not rowdy. There is
variety of all kinds of people but mostly the mid 20's college crowd. The
bar can be kind of hard to get to sometimes, but not to the point of being
ridiculous. The bartenders are decent, not exactly rude but not very
personable or friendly either. The only item off their menu I have ever
eaten are the hot wings. Delicious, not greasy or annoyingly spicy, but a
little too much sauce. Â Great patio and outdoor area. Pretty spacious and
very clean, especially the restrooms. Definitely one of my favorite bars!
Sorry if I sound like the disgruntled customer but I've just about had it with this place. The bartenders are fine--at least the ones that served me. No attitude problem and swift, prompt service. But the waitresses. Oh gosh. Major (major) DIVA. Â Like, big time DIVA. For instance, if they're serving a male guy, they'll act like you're hitting on them when all he's doing is just asking for water. Â The water never comes out and te waitress walks right by you like there's drama stirred between you and her. Talk about WEIRD and AWKWARD. What the...? Are the waitresses immature high-schoolers or grown-up professional adults? This is my last time ever ever going there. The place keeps upsetting me and I'm usually very easy-going and laid-back where I don't complain about anything. But this place really offended me. The leadership management is garbage. No more "wurzbach ice house" nonsense. It's gross! Yuck! Big losers!
