20 Nine Restaurant & Wine Bar

OMG Love, Love, Love!!! Food is amazing the chicken cordon blu was AMAZING!, great atmosphere, and would be a nice place to go on dates. Would highly recommend reservations, and their wine list is never ending!. Our waiter Matthew was very knowledgable about the food and wine choices. Will DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK!

Why only 4-stars? Because all we came for was appetizers and wine. You can bet we will definitely be back for dinner and wine next time, though!

The exterior and interior are very well taken care of. The ambiance inside is very romantic and intimate. Although we were seated right next to a medium-sized group, we felt like we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. The service was impeccable; they really try to accommodate your every need by suggesting their favorite specialties and allowing some sampling of the wines before actually having an entire glass poured. Both servers as well as the hostess were very welcoming and pleasant.

The interior of the restaurant was like nothing else I have seen in the SA area. It actually reminded us of a few hole-in-the-wall places in NY. All in all, the interior décor is nice and lofty. While the restrooms were not all that impressive, they were definitely clean, which to me is more important than paintings and statues in a restroom.

I would like to highly recommend the following food items to anyone looking to try something different for the evening: beef Carpaccio, calamari with dipping sauces, and the gorgonzola steak medallions. I realize that calamari is pretty standard no matter where you go, but the calamari strips here just seemed to be more special than most other places. As for their wine selection, everything we tried was very tasty. I had a white wine by Conundrum and my dinner guests had a pinot, a red wine, and a Riesling.  

This is the type of place that you might want to save for a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, or maybe even payday. Prices are a little bit higher-end, but the experience will be well worth the money spent.

Went here for a business meeting, and the food and service was decently good. BUT, when I decided to return recently with my boyfriend, I must say that both food and service was so bad that I will not return. We were seated quickly, only because we were given the crappiest, most awkward seats in the restaurant. I was instantly annoyed by being seated so crammed next to an obnoxious couple, and with our elbows hitting a random wall where the table was placed up against. I overlooked this and was just looking forward to some delicious, great quality food. Our waiter finally took our order after 10-15 minutes of waiting. I ordered the soup of the day as a starter and my boyfriend ordered a salad. The soup was delicious, until I bit into a large piece of chicken bone, which I almost choked on. I was so disgusted that I could not finish the soup. I shoved it away, and awaited my entree. With ridiculously limited options, I ordered the beef tenderloin with a side of mashed potatoes as my entree. I received three, extremely small beef tenderloins that were cooked well done, when I emphasized that I wanted them medium rare. I was so hungry that I just ending up eating the burnt tasting, small, rough tenderloins with the disgusting, dirty tasting demi glace. Only because I drowned them in mashed potatoes because that was the only decent tasting part of the whole meal. I would've washed down the horrible taste in my mouth, but the waiter never refilled my drink. He just returned with the bill and offered dessert options...(appetizer and entree were so disgusting that I did not want to risk having dessert) So, my boyfriend and I paid and left, feeling disappointed and ripped off. For such mediocre food and service our bill was around $55 dollars. Don't waste your time or money here.
