    Beer only.

I don't drink beer, so it's not really my scene... But I've seen some almost amazing bands perform here.. And in for that I THINK THIS IS A GREAT FIND.

Some great tx bands play here

    -Enjoy.

This place is a great spot to chill the back opens right up to the river walk. If your a full sized band though you may have to watch your stage presence unless you wanna destroy something/someone.. Stage is a little small for my tastes but still fun

In this city you see all kinds of clubs come and go. Some you probably didn't lose any sleep when they closed and others, they are etched in your memories forever. Enter the Ten Eleven, the small club with a big heart! Here is my rule of thumb whenever I offer my patronage to any musical venue, would I go there even if I didn't exactly know which bands were playing there that night? For this place I must say a resounding yes! But in all fairness I feel it is important that I must must speak of the pros and cons of this place.

The cons: Absolutely none! None that I can think of.

And the pros: This place is run by veterans who have all been in the music scene for years be it in bands or have had their own clubs prior to this. So they know the perspective of being a patron and as a band. And treat their patrons and bands as such, which creates a really great energy there. Another pro: the stage setup.

The stage is setup low to the ground so you don't feel like your view is obstructed when any band is playing. While I have seen a few comments where people have been critical of the stage setup, in my opinion it adds to your experience there. I have been to clubs and venues where the stage is set so high it feels like there is a disconnect between the band and the audience. But here the music is in your face and the line between the band and audience quickly diminishes.

Another thing that I really enjoy about this place are the bartenders and selection of brews. First the beers are El Cheapo here! They are priced from low to high. So you can get a Lone star to drink with your bros for 2 bucks or grab a craft~beer from Lagunitas or the Oskar Blues for less than 4 bucks and impress your friends. That is beyond ultra-cheapo! A really cool thing they have going is that they have a select amount of brews so it makes it that much easier to pick something. I have been to spots where they have a ten-thousand beer selection, the brews are hidden from view and the bartenders pressure you to make a decision. But here, not the case.

The biggest Pro and major selling point of the Ten-eleven are the friendly bartenders. On this night I think the bartender was Brandon, I had a specific question about a beer that they were selling and he was more than happy to answer any questions I had. He seemed very knowledgeable and personable. In addition he pointed to each beer and identified each of their tastes using brew-speak like "hoppy", "wheaty" etc. He also asked me what my favorite beer was, which in all honesty I was taken a back. I'm so used to going to clubs where the bartenders act like they are too cool for school. Or wave their hands at you to make a decision or just for you to leave their area altogether. I thought that was a real classy gesture and I haven't forgot that. I don't think I ever will.

All and all the Ten-Eleven is a really cool and laid-back place. So if you like your music loud and your brewskies cheap by all means check this place out! You might get lucky and catch a drummer's stick from a band that is playing three feet away from you!

                                Think Globally. Drink Locally.
