It's been hit or miss for us at this restaurant over the past several years. Â A few time's we've had a decent meal but more often than not we've had long waits (not to get in but at the table), wrong orders, people in our party didn't get their food because they missed it on the ticket and cold food only to be taken to the kitchen, microwaved and brought back.
The only reason we have ever gone back is because we were given gift cards.
The food is tasty (if it's brought in hot) but since we've had more bad experiences than good, I doubt we'll go back.
My husband and I have went in on April 1 for dinner. Our server Zachary S approached us after about 5 minutes of sitting. The first words out of his mouth were that he was new and he was very tired.( I thought it was an April fools joke) We ordered a chicken wing app and it came, we still had no water, extra napkins or plates. He took our order after we finished the wings, FINALLY brought water and napkins and left the menus on the table. Manager came by and asked if we had ordered yet and we said yes that he had not picked up the menus. Food came, I asked for mustard and never received it. Instead our server was spotted across the room counting his tips! Never asked if we wanted desert. Dropped off the check and told us he would be in the back doing side work! Attention Applebees management! If your servers are not trained do not let them have a section! Terrible service!
Review Source:Never used to be a big fan of Applebees but that changed this past year for some reason. Our local establishment has become a favorite hangout for my wife and I. Great atmosphere, really good prices and awesome food! Our favorite appetizer is the Potato Twisters. Fun place and we're night owls so it's cool that they're open late too. Â Always great service too!
Review Source:What a cute Applebee's! Â It has a different feel than most of the other Applebee's - smaller and more homey. Â There were plenty of flat screen TVs for those of us sports fans with ADD. Â Happy Hour is good and cheap. Â Tami was a good bartender with suggestions for local wine and fun drinks for Hubby.
Review Source:Good family environment. Neat stuff to look at hanging on the walls. Friendly & attentive wait staff. Fairly reasonably priced entrees and good mixture of different entrees. Numerous handles regarding tap beers and micro beers. Wine price mark-up is decent. Food is above average.... Good happy hour.
Review Source:Great Happy Hour (both traditional and late night) specials in a newly re-modeled facility. Â It looks great on the inside. Â Other than those two elements... Â there is little notable about this Applebee's that you can't find at every other Applebee's in the country. Â And for that, I give them a hearty 3-stars, and will return again for more happy hours.
Review Source:Great place to socialize
Most people are too hard on Applebee's. They never claimed to be a 5 Star restaurant. They're a great place to have a drink and a cheap meal.
The Applebee's After Dark is cool. They kick on black lights, offer specials and half price food... I just wish they'd stop playing Brittany spears and justin beiber.. Its a BAR applebee's... why are you playing teen music?
Other than that, its a lot of fun. the staff is always happy, conversational and often will give ya free jello shooters or other stuff if you sit at the bar.
When you consider how there are not many places here that are open this late, you cant be too picky. They have no control at the local restaurant  over the little things people tend to complain about.
I often wondered where everyone went late at night... and there were a ton of people there on a late Wednesday night. Â They have great deals on a late night happy hour appetizers and drinks. Â It is not overly crowded so you can still go in and hear the conversation you are having with your company.
I tried their tacos on their appetizers... a little too spicy and too much sauce, but not bad for half price appetizers.
I've held off on reviewing most places like this because really, what's the point? Â If you've been to one, you know the score. Â But, my experience tonight changed my mind. Â I haven't been here in a while, since of the 3 in town it's the furthest from my house. Â It's changed.
The food is typical Applebee's...I think it's all trucked in from one location and re-heated on site. Â Certainly nothing special, but it's edible.
What sets this place apart is the service. Â We sat in the bar, and the waiter wandered over while I was holding the table and my 3 friends went to the can. Â He mumbled what I assume was a greeting, I told him there was 4 of us and he shuffled away. Â When he came back, he tossed 4 menus on the table as he went by. Â Literally, tossed them...they would have slid off if they hadn't hit the salt/pepper/propaganda rack in the middle of the table. Â He's already pissed me off at that point. Â
We ordered drinks and some appetizers, and his response was 'Nobody's eating?', and gave some sort of grunt when we said no. Â Then it took 3 trips to bring drinks for 4 people. Â Meanwhile, some girls - apparently staff with the night off - sitting at the adjacent table started a little battle with the staff behind the bar, throwing wadded napkins, straw wrappers, etc at each other. Â
So, Shuffles the waiter returned and dropped a couple baskets of wings, then made another trip with plates...and loudly dropped them in the middle of the table. Â
So there I sit, irritated with the staff on duty and with the staff off duty, and with an empty glass. Â He didn't come by to check on us, then he messed up the checks, combining the wrong people even though we told him how to separate them 30 seconds before. Â Plus, he charged everyone for drinks, including the one person not drinking alcohol.
While I admit I was pissed off before my seat was even warm, I found the level of service and the attitude of our server to be inexcuseable. Â I have no intention of coming back to this location.
