My Dad, Sister, Aunt and I stopped in for dinner, servers were awesome. Â The food, not so much. Â I had the chicken strips platter, the strips were way over cooked, the french fries over cooked and the cole slaw had no dressing and had cilantro in it. I managed to eat 6 fries and one of the chicken strips. Â Aunt Donna had the fettucini with broccoli, there was absolutely no alfredo sauce on it at all, just dry pasta a bit of broccoli and a couple strips of chicken. Â My sister had the beef fajitas, they had no fajita seasoning on them and were cooked with jalepano peppers that had not been seeded. Â Will not try that again. Â Sad really, we've eaten at Applebee's in Adrian, Mi, in Yuma, Az, and in Big Rapids, Mi, they all are amazing.

Intro: wait was long due to it being valentine's day. Manager was performing the seating stuff. Wait was approx. 28 minutes.
Order 1 (mine) Lemon Parmesian shrimp-It was really good. Almost like the Lemon Shrimp Fetuccini but a little more mild and has rice instead of pasta... I normally get the LSF or the 3 cheese chicken penne, but I wanted a lil bit of a change and something easy on my tummy since I've been having tummy issues the past 2 months.... And this was very easy on it. I also had a good side salad as well.
Order 2 (Husband's) 3 Cheese Shrimp penne (custom specified) He wanted the chicken penne but in shrimp form and they delivered... took em a while to do it but they did. He really liked it as well.
Service: waitress was nice and decently fast. She was still pleasant even though the place was busy. Was pretty engaging and joked a good bit.
Overall: Applebee's has maintained their consistency very nicely. 4.5/5 for this visit.
I can't believe I'm the first person to write a review of this Applebee's! Â It's a pretty standard location, I guess, but it's a little on the small side. Â We seem to have bad luck with music at this location for some reason. Â The first time we visited was for lunch on Valentine's Day this year, and they had a roving barbershop quartet. Â It seems like a nice idea in theory, but they were being kind of annoying and were way too loud for such a small space. Â When we went there again last night, the music on the PA system was way too loud, and not just loud but jangly, like the radio was between stations. Â That was really annoying, so we asked the waitress if she could change it or turn it down, and she said no. Â Maybe this was just a one-time thing, though, so I won't grade them too hard for that.
The food is exactly what you'd expect from Applebee's-- mediocre and loaded with salt. Â Actually, though, last night I tried one of the new Weight Watchers entrees, which are, among other things, supposed to be lower in sodium. Â Guess what? Â Instead of being loaded with salt, it was loaded with salt substitute! Â This put the clincher on it for me, and I don't think we'll be coming back here again in the future.
