I ate at Asia Walk Away today for the first time in a number of years. I was not at all impressed. The service is very poor. Maybe I shouldn't have assumed that it was my waitress' job to refill my drink, but I went 30 of the 40 minutes I was there without being asked for a refill. She asked when she brought us our check. They brought my food out 10 minutes before my friends, which just shouldn't happen. The quality of the food was not impressive. I had the Mongolian beef. I would not recommend eating here, and if you happen to find yourself in the unfortunate situation of dining here, I would not recommend the Mongolian beef. Also, I was completely shocked when my food was presented to me on a styrofoam plate.  This place is completely overrated. Seeing the 4.5 star rating Asia Wok has tells me that the people of Brownsburg have very poor standards when it comes to restaurants.

I've been going to the Asia Wok for years. I've ate at numerous Asian restaurants in my time. The Asia Wok is one of the BEST. I've had almost every dish they serve and haven't had any complaints yet. If you want some authentic Chinese you must try it.

A rare gem in Brownsburg.  Not your typical mandarin, but southern Chinese fare with FRESH veggies cooked in and high quality ingredients.  Place was busy, so obviously word has gotten around about this place.  The two high school aged girls working the counter and serving tables were noticeably overwhelmed.  It actually turned out to be a good idea that the soda machine is in the room.  Guests can get their own refills, because the girls just simply could not keep up with the needs of the sit down diners and tons of walk-in and call-in orders.  Despite the challenges, the servers kept plugging away at it, and, anyway, the real star is the food.

I had Pepper Steak and it was outstanding.  The steak was actually noticeably beef!  It was not chopped super thin or fatty, but actually tasted like quality meat.  The vegetables tasted like they had just been chopped up for this meal and the sauce that complemented was outstanding.  The food was not salty like other places can be, and it needed no additional sauces or spices to make the flavor complete.  Definitely some of the best Chinese food I've had in the Indianapolis area.

Incredibly good food. This restaurant has a light, modern take on the usual Chinese fare. We were pleasantly surprised. Loved the Genetal Tso's.

Was pleasantly surprised about this place. Was around the area with a craving for Chinese. Was very authentic tasting and very fresh, would def go again. Also I thought it was priced well for what you got. Also was real clean which is a huge plus considering I've seen some Chinese places that weren't  the cleanest.

Easy to find - once you know where it is.  North of 74 on 267 / Green Street near Dunkin Donuts.

Not at all what I expected - table service with real silverware - albeit paper napkins and plastic plates.  Food was pretty good - best I've had in Brownsburg and seems to be a bit more authentic than others.  The General Tso's was unlike I've ever had before with a sauce that was very soupy and not very spicy.  My wife's Sweet and Sour chicken was good as well but different than we had ever seen before.

Unfortunately the deep-fried chicken that makes up the General Tso's and the Sweet and Sour chicken was of the take it frozen out of the big brown bag and deep fry it and while the chicken itself was of better quality than that type usually is, it was still a disappointment.  Unless you really like peas and carrots in your steamed rice - skip the fried rice and just get steamed.  I could not detect any noticeable difference between the steamed rice and the fried rice besides the vegetables and maybe a dash of soy sauce.

(They have new owners since I wrote this review.)

Google's map is off for this address, but Mapquest's is okay.  Use "6918 N. State Road 267" to find it on Google's map.

But anyway, the official address, and the one in the phone book is 1430 N. Green Street.

At first I thought it was a "walk-up to the counter and order" kind of place, but you can actually sit at a table and they will take your order and bring the food out to you.

The menu is not the standard red-and-green-print menu at most Chinese walk-up strip-mall restaurants.

I could tell from the entree, and especially the rice, that they were either from Hong Kong or Southern China. Flavors and construction are slightly different than the average Mandarin-style of Chinese restaurants run by people from the Mainland outside of southern China.

Papa-san was very personable, going around to the tables to make sure the customers were satisfied. The kids (a teen and a college-age guy) ran the front counter and served, and Mom worked the kitchen.

Real china plate, stainless utensils, foam beverage cups, paper napkins. Very clean men's room. The men's room was actually decorated a bit, and not totally utilitarian as most strip-mall restaurant restrooms.

Service was pretty good, and food ingredients were pretty fresh.  Dining area decor was good, better than most strip-mall type Chinese restaurants.   If you enjoy southern China/Hong Kong style cuisine, this is the go-to place in Brownsburg,  and probably worth a trip from the west side of Indy too.
