I came to this location as I was waiting to pick up a friend from the airport. Her flight was delayed so I went to have a drink at this restaurant. I sat at the bar with the bartender named Chuck. He had a very unique sense of "humor". I heard him call a Russian gentleman who came in for a quick lunch a "beer snob". Neither the Russian gentleman nor myself thought the comment was funny. After lunch was ordered, my $10 side Caesar salad came out under dressed and with multiple pieces of rotten lettuce. After sending it back, the new salad was just as horrible. The chicken in the chicken piccata was boiled chicken! For a restaurant that boasts "fine dining" and New York prices, I would expect an exquisite and quality meal. Rotten lettuce and boiled chicken just doesn't do it for me. I will never return to this rip-off of a restaurant.
Review Source:A few of us attended this restaurant at the airport as we waited for a delayed flight. The place was sparse. A few patrons here and there. It is hard to create an upscale atmosphere when people who just flew in from Hawaii are sitting around in flip flops and Hawaiian shirts. ( I hope they just flew in from Hawaii). The servers were un attentive, texting, loudly joking and gossiping with each other. The young lady who served us disappeared. Our waters were never refilled, cocktails not replenished, and no ketchup or condiments for the fries. A customer strolled her carriage around the restaurant in an attempt to soothe her crying baby. She looped around our table 5 times. The food was ok. about $14 on average for a dry burger plate, more for bigger dishes.
They have a full bar. The floors were dirty with straw rappers and strewn food bits. We waited 30 min. for our server as she disappeared into the kitchen. We flagged down someone I think was a manager and he just looked confused and dazed. He mumbled something in response and looked around wildly. Finally he went into the kitchen to get her. My experience was more of a burger joint then a nice Chop House/Brewery..
One of the best Reubens I have had. I write a blog 100% dedicated to the Reuben sandwich. Review Source:Wanted to give a 1 STAR but didn't....I don't want ppl to think that I'm a complainer.
As an airline flight attendant I get tired of the fast food/cold sandwich type food in the airport. I had over 4 hrs to kill so I thought I'd go find a nice restaurant and have a quiet relaxing meal. Starving and only having one meal a day, I chose Atlanta Chop House.
The hostess seated me right away. The server promptly took my drink order and food order. I ordered the Crab Cake for my appetizer. The Filet Tips (rare) & Mushrooms and mashed potatoes w/ a side caesar salad for my entree. The appetizer and the salad came out at the same exact time. I would have preferred my appetizer first. Then my salad following. Quite some time later my entree arrived. The waitress placed it down and walked away. I tasted it. God aweful!!! It tasted as if I was licking a burnt skillet. The tips were burnt, crispy, and dried out. It was worse than gnawing on beef jerky. I ate 4 bites and stopped. I couldn't take it anymore. The waitress came by and asked if I needed more tea. I said yes. She never asked about my meal. I wasn't going to say anything until she asked me. She came by again and asked if I was doing ok. Without letting me say anything, she didn't wait for an answer and quickly turned. So I had to wait about another 20 minutes for her to come back. When she came to pick up my plate she noticed that I hardly touched it and gave me a strange look. I said, Yes it was horrible. She said that she noticed that it was black when she served it to me. And then she offered me the menu to make another selection. I ordered the Filet Mignon (rare) with mashed potatoes. It was okay. Not as rare as rare should be. Kind of bland. I'm glad I ordered the bernaise sauce with it on the side. I did eat every bite of the steak though because I was hungry. Â When the check came to me there was no discount for the cooking error. I was given my airline discount, which I am entitled to but nothing else. I left paying a $60.00 lunch and a horrible taste in my mouth. To me...it wasn't worth it!! Inattentive service, over priced, and the food is a total MISS! I won't be going back. Nor will I recommend to passengers.
I've visited Atlanta a few times, so I'm no stranger to the ATL Airport. On my last visit I was glad to see a nice place to grab some food and drink while waiting to get picked up.
Atlanta Chop House is well built and they have a nice set up right in the middle of the Airport. Probably the highest traffic area, so they are usually pretty busy.
I love the bar set up and the staff was very friendly and attentive(albeit at the bar). The reason I'm only leaving 2 stars is because the value just isn't there. I ordered the sliced steak salad, it came with literally 4 slices of steak. Maybe...3 oz of meat. Everything else in the salad was nice, but they DRENCHED it with dressing. It was so overdressed I found myself picking at it and trying to scrape the dressing off.
I was so upset with the lack of protein, I found myself adding and order of the  Buffalo Shrimp appetizer, which found me equally disappointed. Not enough shrimp... way too much bleu cheese. When I mean too much blue cheese the stuff isn't in a little dish to the side, it's just smothered all over the dish, on top of the shrimp you cannot avoid it. Fool me twice, shame on me  I guess.
I asked for the check.... $70+ for the salad, shrimp app, and 2 beers... I'm no cheapo but F me sideways that was gut shot. If the food matched the price I'd still feel like I'd been had, but the bill was just insult added to injury.
At the end of the day, my recommendation is to save your self money and buy food elsewhere in the airport. Â To sit and have a couple drinks, charge the phone etc. I'd come again.
As far as airport steakhouses go, this one does a pretty good job. Â The prime rib was nice and crusty with the appropriate amount of fat.
I had to mark it down one star for false advertising. Â The name states this is a brewery but when I asked the server, she told me they were not a brewery and only had the normal beer selection one would expect. Â I'm not sure why they call themselves a brewery if they don't actually brew any beer?
I tried this place while meeting a friend for dinner during her 2-hour layover in Altanta. The hostess was pleasant, but we waited almost 15 minutes for a waitress to come ask us what we wanted to drink, even though there were servers standing around and walking right by us. We were ready to order our food as soon as she came to take our drink order, but she promptly walked away.
By the time our drinks came, we were getting anxious about how long dinner would take. The waitress noticed that we were looking at our watches and asked us if we had a plane to catch. When my friend said yes, the server was kind enough to ask what we were thinking of ordering to see how long it would take to be cooked. She did seem to put a rush on our order when she found out we were in a hurry.
I ordered a burger, which was ok. Definitely not worth the money I paid. My friend ordered chicken, and she said it was ok, but also not worth the money.
The pros about this place is you can sit and have a drink and real food in the airport. The cons are that the food is way overpriced, and (it seems as though) the staff is not familiar with the fast-paced demands of operating in an airport. In my opinion, the first priority of the staff should be to find out if someone they are waiting on has a time constraint.
One of the worst restaurant experiences. Â Attention to detail is non-existent. Â Waitress brought my table two waters at a time -- there were 6 of us at the table!!! It took 25 minutes for the bar order to arrive at our table. Â Calamari was cold, greasy and under seasoned. Â We will not return to this overly priced, under-trained restaurant.
Review Source:Pretty decent place for an airport restaurant. Â Has everything a person at the airport needs...burgers and beer. Â The buffalo shrimp is pretty decent. Â Has a really good kick to them, but the buffalo sauce masks the flavor the shrimp a little too much. Â The spinach artichoke dip was also pretty good with a nice strong cheese flavor. Â The burger was exactly what you might expect. Â It could have used some seasonings, but the burger itself was cooked to order and was pretty decent. Â I would recommend the place to anyone that has some time to kill before their flight.
