The officially launching pad of an enjoyable NOLA experience. Â This little bar is just that, a place to get some well needed drinks after a long flight, before facing the ills of baggage claim. Not much seating available, but a great chance to make new friends! Â Just ask nicely and pull-up a chair. Â Unfortunately, no power outlets to charge phone or tablets at tables. Â
While no food served here, you can readily request a menu for the adjacent restaurant and they will walk your food order over. Â It's convenient and stress-free. Â Lots of options, but I recommend wetting your palate with NOLA's local brew "Abita." Â The bar keeper was very friendly and talkative, making my transition into honorary Cajun for a long weekend an easy one.
We stopped here for a few beers before our flight home to Australia. Â It was a small little bar, with fairly limited beer menu and a very small food menu. Â We had a couple of Abitas and watched the football on the TV. Â If you want somewhere with good food menu, this is not the place, but if you just want to grab a beer and watch some football, this place will do the trick. Â The staff were nice and quick to fill your beer.
Review Source:Nothing to get excited about (much like the rest of this airport). Â Airport bar that's open to the rest of the terminal so it's loud. Â The draft beer selection sucks (Miller Lite, Bud Light, Heineken, and Sam Adams), but they do a decent bloody mary that will set you back $9.25. Â Nice lady behind the bar.
