It was just ok. My parents loved it up until last night when the service was friendly but lacking attention. Â I think my patents must have old people bland food tastbuds because the food was also lacking pizzazz. The meatball calzone was burnt and brought out several minutes after the rest of my families meals. It didn't come
with dipping marinera but when I finally waved down the waitress for some it was good. My sisters drink was weak at best and it took like a half an hour to get our check. The salad bar has good pasta salads if you like olives in everything and it could use more veggies like broccoli or cucumbers. They sat my party of 8 in a Crampt booth but at least we didn't have to wait 2 hrs at Olive Garden. All in all my mom coulda had a better b day dinner but it wasn't horrible
From the previous reviews it was hard to say what kind of experience we would have. The restaraunt was recommended by someone of Italian descent.
We went on Wed. 2/13 as a late wedding anniversary an early Valentine dinner. We were seated promptly.
My wife ordered the Canneloni and I tried the Salmon and dill Ravioli. Her dish was OK, but no wow factor. The waitress warned me that my plate was hot, WHAT? I have never been in an Italian restaraunt that heated the plate. While the flavor of the sauce was good, the raviolis were sort of bland. Being on the hot plate, caused the raviolis not covered by sauce to dry out. I asked the waitress about the need for heating the plate. The response I got lead me to believe the raviolis were placed on the plate, covered with sauce and the whole plate placed in an oven. The food wasn't advertised as homemade and most likely was not.
The salad bar was also so-so. I tried a variety of macaroni salad, green pees, cole slaw and they were bland and didn't taste fresh.
I'll give them another chance, but I won't be in a rush to get there. The waite staff were very pleasant.
Since Filibertos in Burien closed, we have been looking for a good Italian restaraunt.
