This place is a much better improvement (in my opinion) from its days as Mason's. First off, it seems way better managed! Â I always liked the bartenders even before, but they're still doing good! Â I like the drink sizes for mixed drinks here because a lot of other bars downtown leave me feeling pretty gypped but I actually feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Â Also, the last time we were here they offered free food samples (we got a plate of rueben egg rolls that were AWESOME!) which I lot was a good way to win people back over.
What I like most about this place is there are so many different things to do. Â You can play pool, or corn hole, watch a band/musician play, or just watch sports. Â I do miss the days back when Mason's had beer pong tables, but there are still enough activities to keep me busy.
I have mix feeling about this place. First time, all my drinks tasted like limenade (ordered cosmo then long island), but the bar tender was extremely nice and friendly. Second time, my drinks tasted like they should, but the bar  was extremely slow and intentative. The place was a bit more crowded than the first time, but 20 minutes for a beer...? The place is informal and a total face lift from Mason's. They replaced all the booths (except for 2 in a corner) with high tables. Took down all the walls so it's one big room. They have a stage and a band; always freakin' too loud for the place. They set up 2 pools table and some games in the back, so that was nice. The place just seems... out of place. It reminds me of Mickey's upstairs (I think), but more bare (no carpets and stuff). It's much less smokey so that's a good thing. I like the random single couch in the corner...a bit eery but I liked the couch lol. It's a nice new place. I'll probably give it another try in the future.
