They have a delicious Celery Seed salad dressing that is sweet, but not overpowering. Â Delicious. Â The traditional "relish tray" selections of Kidney Bean Salad and Cottage Cheese are a nice touch, which very few restaurants still offer. Â The soup I had was top-notch...Clam Chowder that didn't seem to be specifically Manhattan or New England, but something unto itself. Â It was very good. Â I ordered the Prime Rib and wasn't disappointed. Â It was a shame we didn't have a chance to grab a drink at the bar and enjoy some cheese spread and crackers - they looked delicious! Â Our friends that brought us here warned us of the security guard to watch the car, and though the neighborhood might not be the nicest I wasn't particularly concerned with leaving my car in the lot next to the building. Â Will definitely return when in Kenosha!
Review Source:If you love that old school supper club atmosphere with the crackers and Merkt's on the bar and the kidney bean salad bowl for the table you'll like Bartley House. Â Maybe 20 tables surround the U shaped bar in a small room with old time wooden paneling that looks like someone's basement rec room. The food is typical Wisconsin supper club fair with a great perch fry on Friday night. Â The fish, coated in a light breading, was hot and delicious and came with your choice of potato, soup or salad. Â Not sure about the rest of the menu but if you like perch......go for it.
Review Source:What a gem! Â Don't let the neighborhood or the outside appearance fool you - inside you will find a cozy dining room and bar, white linens on the tables and some of the best food in the area. Â Great steaks, seafood, ribs - you name it - it's all excellent. Â The wait staff have been here for years and it shows in the professional, friendly service. Â I love the complementary appetizers served before dinner - cottage cheese, kidney bean salad as well as crackers and cheese. Â Go for the twice-baked potato as a side. Â Love this place!!
