Absolutely marvelous. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at.
Everything is delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The Salmon is to die for...Deserts - what can I say? Love them all.
A great place to have a special dinner.

First visit to Bash at its new location.  The new place is definitely in a nicer shopping center, plenty of parking, well lit and clean.

The menu seemed to be expanded from my visit to the old location.  Addition of burgers/sandwiches.

We started with the beggar's purses and truffle fries for appetizers.  The purses are just awesome, very rich and tasty.

For my meal, I had the beef short ribs, which were so tender that they fell off the bone, good bbq sauce to go with them.  Had the mac and cheese as a side, very yummy.

For dessert, we split a bunch of things that were good, but I really wanted the churro chocolate chip bread pudding, but they were out of it.  What we had, brownie a la mode, peach cobbler and apple pie.  I don't like cooked fruit, so I can only comment on the brownie, and it was ok, nothing special.

Very friendly service.  They had an excellent singer playing that night, which made it sort of loud, but you could still talk with your party.

Overall, glad they are still around at the new place.  Its the kind of food you would expect on Las Olas or in Miami, not in Sunrise.  It is worth the drive.

Just drove over from Ft Lauderdale and the place is closed. The windows are covered in paper, so I assume that means they're closed permanently.

Let me update by saying I went there a few months ago, not today as the review date shows. If they have re-opened, my apologies.

They just moved to a new location next to Doris Italian Market in Sunrise. The location is more accommodating and overall just a better experience.

Moving on to the food. This has to be one of the best restaurant in Sunrise. It's definitely a hidden gem, but has a solid support case or regulars that always find a way. You can tell all the food is fresh and made from scratch and you can't go wrong venturing to try a different meal ever time you swing by. My favorite is the Braised short ribs w/ paparadelle...Ah may zing! I always end of sharing my food w/ the company we are with just b/c everything at the table looks great.

The servers are great and attentive, on par w/ a J Alexanders.

They have a good selection of beer but somewhat limited wine menu. You can bring your own bottle for a small corkage fee.

It is a bit on the high end cost, but then again you get what you pay for!

    Bon Appetit!

I think I subconsciously don't write reviews of places that I absolutely love. It may be a selfish desire to keep these places hidden gems. My own special secret place to escape.

I also feel I must start with some general advice for any reviews you read here or elsewhere. Make your own decisions. If a place has overwhelmingly high ratings on one lone Yahoo who has written ONE scathing review of ONE establishment. You can essentially call BS on that reviewer, Just my two cents.

My husband comes here once a week for lunch. His colleagues have said the best thing about hiring him is that he introduced them to Bash. Upon their first visit he upgraded to the mac n cheese. They thought paying $1 extra was silly....until they tasted it. Now they all get mac n cheese every single week cause it's that's damn good.

I basically think you can have anything here and be happy. Some of our favorites:

    - Beggar's Purses - Truffles!
    - Louisiana Crab Dip
    - Braised Short Ribs (or the ribs with paparadelle)
    - Memaw's Meatloaf
    - Apricot Chipolte Chicken
    - Wild Mushroom Pasta

And always upgrade to mac n cheese or truffle tots. Oh! And try a dessert. Any dessert. Esp one with bacon.

There. You're Welcome. Now don't go making this place hard to get into.

First - in case you do not know BASH HAS MOVED. New address:10053 Sunset Strip, Sunrise, Fla. (Sunset Strip & Nob Hill). I was afraid I'd lost them forever when we went for dinner one night - to the old location and it was closed. Thank God for Facebook   - I found the new location. And it is lovely but with the same warmth. The waitstaff was delightful and well versed on the menue. They still have the cooking channel on the TV.
Now - my Husband said "Don't give them a great review - they'll get too crowded and then we won't be able to go." It dosn't really matter what kind of review I give Bash - they are so good that the place should have a long line in front just from word-of-mouth. Someone told me about Bash a couple of years ago - and we have told many people and taken many friends there.
OK - I suppose you go there for the food - and the food is so exceptional. It amazes me that these people are not in New York or Chicago or LA.Every dish has layers of flavor. Macaroni & cheese WITH LOBSTER... a hamburger.. with Balsamic Reduction, a strip steak(perfectly done) with a Crawfish sauce that is like giving your tastebuds a grand gift. Interesting draft beers, which I don't know much about - I asked about the Pale Ale and our waitress brought me a very good size taste in a small, cold mug. If you are a beer person you must check out the draft beers.
I am not going to mention the Onion soup (my favorite food group) don't order it (I'm afraid they will run out one night when we go there.) My husband was supposed to share his with me - he said it was not good - that I wouldn't want any - then proceeded to INHALE it.... ambrosia of the gods.....
I just pray that Kim & Shannon never realize how wonderful they do a Restaurant and move off to a larger audience. Meanwhile Sunrise, Florida is blessed.

    Message From The Owners, Again!

I am sorry that people that have never reviewed another restaurant, feel the need to take digs at Bash.

However, I not only invite the people that choose to believe they know how our kitchen operates (as well as any one who is interested) to come and take a full kitchen tour, including our invoices.   All of our food is from scratch (including soup), our steaks are Black Angus or above (and we have never purchased a Flat Iron Steak in the almost 5 years we have been open).  Our current house Pinot Grigio is from Italy (the only place Pinot Grigio is grown) and we in no way shape or form represent it as a California Pinot (the brand is Borgo, should you choose to look it up), in addition I would welcome the opportunity to share our wine invoices, as we have taken great pride in choosing our wine and beer selections.

Have we had some bumps and bruises with opening in our new location, yes, but we have been successful in hiring some additional staff, which should help in our service times.  Those that have had the decency to share concerns directly, have been taken care of in person.

In addition, as most of our customers know, the owners are a husband wife team.  The husband (Shannon) is the Executive Chef, therefore is in the kitchen during a busy Friday night dinner service (not behind the bar).  The wife (Kim) is in the Front most of the time...there are rare occasions that she must also work in the back (such as this past Friday night) to ensure (or help with) service, but most the time her presence is very prominent in the dining area (and has never been mistaken for a he).

In the future, I would hope that someone who has so much negative to say about a business, that we work very hard on, take pride in and supports a family, would have common decency to speak with someone who works at the location, prior to completely smearing their name on the internet with negative information.

We understand we will not please everyone all the time, but we truly appreciate our loyal customers and respect any customer that wants to share information about the experience with us, positive or negative.

    Sincerely:
    Chef Shannon & Kim

Well we finally went to Bash after hearing all the hype, and recommendations.   We went to their new location next to Doris' on sunset Strip.

Service although very slow, and somewhat sloppy, was friendly, and personable.  The owner stood behind the bar, it kind of reminded me of "kitchen Nightmare's" or "Restaurant Impossible".  He seemed disconnected from the staff, and was absent more then he was present.  He was not attentive to his staff or customer.

My wife ordered a pinot grigrio . Some cheap California knock off.  I had beer.  Which wasn't bad, from some micro brewer.  Getting my second beer seemed to be an issue.  It took forever, and my server had to be reminded.

We ordered the Louisiana Crayfish dip.  It was the only thing we had that was good.  Being in the food service industry gives us a unique perspective of the cuisine.  The bread came with an olive oil, and balsamic dip, or dressing.  The balsamic was horrible.  Way too vinegary.  If you've had real, good balsamic you know it should have a mild sweet flavor.  This didn't.  The bread was low end par-baked junk.

I then had the "homemade" French Onion Soup.  I couldn't finish it.  It was obvious it came from a can, and was doctored in house.  I understand the difficulty in making this soup, and would have preferred not being lied to.

Our entrees came.  I ordered the Kona Crusted Sirloin.  Sirloin?  Really?  It was a cheap flat iron steak that wasn't even trimmed of the tendon. If it was called a flat iron on the menu I would never have ordered it.  My first bite was grizzle.  The Kona coffee was probably Folgers, or something cheaper.  The steak had no essence of coffee.  No earthiness, just a mild crunch of the tasteless bean.  At least it was garnished with "Roland Balsamic Glaze"  The mac and cheese that accompanied my dish was passable.  Not the best in the county as touted by our server.

My Wife ordered Beef Short Rib and Pappadella Pasta.  She had one bite.  I did dig though the mound of over cooked egg noodles to find a piece of short rib.  It was bland, but cooked well.  With all the sauce it was swimming in, it was hard to tell if it was made on site, or scooped out of a plastic tub, and doctored up.

I wanted dessert, but figured it would come out of a box, not not be that good,

All in all 1 star is as low as I could go.  With a bill over $100 for the 2 of us, at least the dogs get something to eat tomorrow.

    Save your money.

They just moved!  The food is absolutely stellar, with a good deal of thought into how it is prepared and presented.  Also the wait staff is genuinely trying to ensure that you have a great time, they are pleasant, joke with you, and very upfront with suggestions.

Good beer selections too, with some finds that you won't be able to locate anywhere else in SoFlo (Especially some goodies from CCB like their new invasion!)

    Cheers

I like the new location and the food is still pretty good. However, the congregation of servers at a table towards the back, eating and texting while they still had customers is incredibly unprofessional. Our server dropped off our bill and then sat down in the back. We had to get someone else to finish the transaction. He didn't even get up to say goodbye and he knows us since we're regulars!

We had lunch and we are now eating the leftover and my wife is still raving over the curry chicken salad sandwich she had.  I had their fresh fish sandwich which was great.  Service was great.  They are moving as this great restaurant is in a poor retail location, Check their website.

Excellent find. Thanks Yelpers.  As many said, the location is sketchy.  It's in a run down strip mall, but apparently they're about to move.

Great truffle fries. Who Dat burger was enormous and tasty.  Fried pickles were a neat touch.  Really friendly staff checked our table a few times.

I had seen this place on Check Please. We went o celebrate my husband's birthday. The place is hard to find, off the beaten path, in a strip mall. But the place has food to die for!!! The waitress and the maitre were extremely nice. We had the Panko-Parmesan Crusted Crab dip that was awesome. It came with warm pita bread triangles and tortilla chips. Then I had the Coca-Cola Braised Beef Short Ribs with a side of Truffle Fries, which was a real big plate (I only ate half and took the other half home). The short ribs fell off the bone and were delicious. My husband had the Panko Herb-crusted Salmon also with the Truffle Fries. For dessert my husband had a Snickers Cheesecake and I had the Peach Cobbler that isn't the regular peach cobbler but sort of a bread pudding/cake with fresh peaches and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We both had a glass of the house wine. We were stuffed and bottom line we loved the place and its food!!

Great food, better service, the best ambiance.  Bash is the home away from home, its like the friends you never knew you had and the getaway we all need to experience. We had the crawfish and three cheese ravioli topped with shrimp, but lo and behold... Our ravioli was topped with chicken! Right away, the staff seamlessly corrected the problem and the rest of the meal went on without a hitch. It was a pleasure to dine amongst the knowledgable staff as we were the only customers until  6:30. Then every table was occupied. What a gem!

Amazing food! We started with the begger's baskets which were phenomenal! My husband had the sloppy joseph - delicious! I had the porccini steak and lobster - best steak I've ever had! We ended the meal with their Elvis-inspired homemade bread pudding - it was awesome! Who knew chocolate covered bacon would be delicious? What a great way to start the new year!

A gem where you'd never think you'd find one. This small restaurant is in a plaza that might make you fear your safety after dark but as my review will suggest: it's well worth the risk!

My family visited on New Year's Eve - prices higher than the normal menu but included a flute of champagne and a starter salad/soup - a classy touch.

Table started off with Caesar salad, house salad and French onion soup. All were delicious. (7.5/10)

Entrees were 2x Grouper and their famous beef ribs. These were absolutely exceptional. The ribs fell off the none and melted in your mouth. I've been to national  Ribs Competitions and this still made the top of my list! (10.0+++)

Service was prompt, courteous and pleasant. There was a young child helping the wait staff - I could only believe he was the owner's son; gave the place a genuine familial feel that sealed the unpretentious and warm/inviting environment.

Price point is also perfect, making this restaurant a complete recipe for a home-run.

    5 STARS!

Found Bash highly rated on Yelp so we gave it a try last weekend. The place definitely lives up to its reputation. We started with the beggars purses as an appetizer.  It would be an understatement to say that they were delicious. They were outstanding, in fact.  Be sure to save some bread if you order these - you'll want to soak up every last bit of sauce!

For dinner I had the homemade meatloaf  and my husband had the braised short ribs.  Both were delicious and it was awesome to have meatloaf in a restaurant that tastes as good as mom's, if not better.  For sides, I went for gusto and ordered both the mac & cheese and the mashed potatoes.  The mac & cheese arrived a little on the cool side but the waiter remedied that quickly and brought back a dish filled with bubbling cheesy goodness.  By the time we were finished, there was no room for dessert.  I'll report on that next time though, because we'll definitely be back.  Service was great, atmosphere was warm and inviting, food was DELISH!

Was there last night for a private event and it was amazing. All the appetizers that came around during the cocktail hour were great. The chipotle chicken in a stick was perfect blended with the crumbled goat cheese. Finger licking good, literally.  I was really impressed by the local Florida craft beers that they served. I didn't try any of the wine but the selection looked great. I was told that the evening would be a "don't eat lunch" type of day. I'm glad that I listened and really saved room for everything that they offered. Can't wait to bring my family back to show them. Oh yeah and they also showcase artwork that I was told changes regularly. Very cool.

I went there with my wife on Saturday night. The outside of the building /plaza has allot to be desired.
Once inside it was clean and stylish paintings on the wall were by local artist and for sale.
The waiter was nice and knowledgeable the food was great , my wife got meatloaf simple dish and so many places get it wrong  Bash got it right great flavor and not too salty it reminded  us of Japanese hamburger.
The chicken I ordered was great flavor and cooked right.
the apple coleslaw is really good.
like other yelpers said it is a jewel in Sunrise.
    we will defiantly be back.

Wrote this last night on my phone as I was killing some time......

-----We've been here for 20 mins and so far, so good. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgable. The appetizers we chose were excellent. The wine list was larger than id anticipated. And the waiter knew everything there was to know about his beers. Plus, i was placed directly underneath the ac vent and when the waiter saw me trembling, he went and adjusted the temperature! This place is so small, so cozy, and delightful. As we sit here waiting on our entrees, we can't help but marvel at this tiny surprise inside this mostly empty plaza, in this particular neighborhood.

Dinner came. Soooo good (for the most part). Grouper and savory rice and spinach was the business! My medium well steak was too overcooked. I tried to eat it bc it was still quite tender, but it was just too dry for my liking. In all fairness tho, the waiter did insist i check the meat to see that it was cooked to my satisfaction. I told them it was. It actually wasnt. They quickly replaced it and redid all my sides (didn't expect that since I'd eaten the whole thing) and packed it up to go.

Finally finished up with the key lime cheesecake and a cup of coffee. That cheesecake..... I honestly have no words. I wanted to lay down in the plate!!!

Sooo, my meal is complete, my belly is full, I have my to-go box, and I enjoyed the heck outta this place!! Folks, don't let the location deter you. Diamond in the rough. Seriously!!

Oh and their crab cakes are better than I expected. Not like the ones in MD, bc those cant be beat, BUT they're pretty good for Fort Lauderdale I suppose. Alot meatier than I expected.

(Plus I just ate my second steak. Still kinda dry even tho its medium well. Which means its the meat, not the chef. Wonder what cut of meat that was...hmmm)

The Good: Almost everything. Our crab dip and crab cake appetizers were delicious and well portioned. The crab dip is cheesy and the chips warm and salty. The crab cakes are maybe the best I've had. Our entrees were amazing. I had the Bash pasta with blackened chicken. It was beautifully plated, fresh, and not overly rich. My wife had the sunburst chicken with feta and sundried tomatoes. My mother-in-law loved her salmon and the kid's chicken plate was huge and flavorful. However, the crown jewel on our table was my brother-in-law's pork chop. Simply amazing. The sides are tasty, the best being the mac and cheese, truffle fries, and green beans. And the service: perfect. Janelle (sp?) was personable, helpful, and attentive.

The bad: The inside ambiance is nice but the outside is sketchy. Don't be fooled by the strip mall front. This place is the real deal. As well, the table bread was flavorless, as was the butter, but with such delicious apps this is easily forgivable. My only other complaint was they were out of the grouper special by 7. How does that happen?

    The ugly: Nothing.

Overall, you can't beat Bash. The storefront will scare away some folks, leaving the customers inside to appreciate this gem of a find. We will definitely be going back.

Went for lunch today and I was blown away. Easily one of the best restaurants in Broward.

Aside from the fact that it's in a rundown strip mall, it's really quaint and has some nice ambiance going for itself. Warm colors on the walls and an everchanging supply of art from local artists, combined with lighting that is enough to see comfortably but not too much make for an enjoyable atmosphere.

The focus is on the food, as it should be in any restaurant. The tables and chairs serve their purpose and are no frills- if you're a snob looking for haughty couture, go elsewhere. This is reflected in the extremely reasonable prices- I felt completely satisfied paying $10 for my lunch.

I was pretty tame with my order of the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese, but calling it delicious would be an understatement. The chicken was moist, cooked just right and had a great flavor to it. The fresh veggies on awesome bread set it off. And the mac and cheese- my god, out of this world. Rich, thick and stringy- just the way a good mac and cheese should be. Everything on the menu sounded good and everything I saw brought to my table and surrounding ones looked incredible.

I had an awesome chat with Kim, the chef's wife. She was incredibly nice (as were our servers) and we spoke about the cajun/creole influence that is definitely well-represented in the menu. All the food is made from scratch and you can taste the love and passion that goes into it.

I'll be going back sooner rather than later and bringing my girlfriend. I'll definitely be trying the crabcake po' boy and getting some bread pudding for dessert! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about my next trip to Bash!

Don't judge a book by it's cover! The thought came came to mind several times as we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the most unlikely of settings. This old, run-down shopping center leaves much to be desired. This calibur of restaurant is not usually found in a place like this. This is the epitome of "the hidden gem".

Our food was spectacular, and fit  for foodies. The Beggar's Purse appetizer is proof positive that somebody in that kitchen knows what they are doing. Meatloaf...I hate meatloaf, and can't understand why my hubby orders it! This meatloaf was to die for, and that may just be what I have next time. My mushroom pasta was delish. I totally enjoyed the strong marsala wine flavor. Service was flawless, professional and fun.

I wish I could report about dessert, but was too full to even try. We will absolutely be back here!

    The bad:
Bad location in a strip mall
Small place packed with tables and chairs (hate the chairs)
    Crowded and tight

    The good:
    Great food!
    Great service!
    Great prices!
    In demand!
    They are moving!

Had called to make reservations and was told they did not take any unless you were a party of 5 or larger. They do, however, offer a call ahead seating. Of course, my girlfriend and I started talking in the car and we forgot to call. Bad move!

Arrived to find about a dozen people waiting outside. We checked in and were told 1 1/2 hours. Usually I would have left but we decided to wait at the bar and drink the minutes away. It took about 8 minutes for the server behind the bar to acknowledge us.  He only did because I asked for the wine menu finally or it would have been longer. He apologized. They really were slammed. I think they do take out orders as well because people were on the phone non stop and servers were rushing from left to right and all around. Everyone had a sense of urgency here. Made me a little anxious I gotta say.

The wine list had no wine over $ 45.00. They do offer a $ 15.00 if you want to take your own.

About a half hour into waiting we were told there was a table ready. Score! It was by the front door which was a little uncomfortable but OK- will deal. The place is basically one big square filled with tables/seating. I hate the chairs because I feel it cheapens the look of the place. It's really dark in there and has really cool art on the walls but these chairs are the same you find in any cafeteria type place where you can eat a full meal for $5.00. They also kept the window curtains open which had a view to the parking lot and the fluorescent lights (mainly for people sitting by the front) reminding you that you are in a cheesy strip mall. They could take cue from Casa D Angelo, Valentino's or Mustard Seed Grill who do a great job of transferring you elsewhere the second you walk in through the doors despite their strip mall locations and yes, it involves blocking the parking lot view.  But I digress....

The service was wonderful throughout the night. We tried the hummus/pita combo which was really good. They serve a lot of the hummus. Enough for 4-6 people. It was just two of us. We ordered the Key Lime Shrimp Linguine special and the Pork Loin. I loved the linguine but could have passed on the pork loin. My girlfriend though, loved the pork loin.  Both portions were huge! Dessert was a flourless cappuccino cake which was good but very decadent.

Prices were inexpensive. The total came out to $93.00 for two people WITH a $ 40.00 bottle of wine! For what you are getting, this is a complete steal.

To summarize,  I would say Bash is rough around the edges. They have the hardest thing down, and that's the food. I would ,however,  make portions a bit smaller, turn up the music (it was on but hard to hear) and get rid of those hideous chairs (sorry, designer here). I should not say it but they could even charge a little more for their entrees if they keep them that big. Don't hate me for saying that people but they can!

I was told they were moving a shopping center over and that a Bite with Belkys was coming to shoot with them soon so look out for that!

I will be back and next time I have a date with the Coca-Cola ribs.
    Oh yeah!
    Can't wait.
(yes, I will remember to call ahead too!)

Ahh, Bash.    I first saw you on the local South Florida dining show a year ago, now I finally got to taste your creations......and glad I did!

Went on a Saturday night.    Terrible location, in a bad strip mall....but inside it's perfectly fine.  Got there a bit before our reservation, and warmly greeted by the host, who warmly said that our table wasn't ready, but to go see George at the bar.  So that's what we did and warmly greeted by George.    On special were 2 for 1 'Monk in the Trunks' (beer) so that's what we did.     Only a few minutes after, and when our friends arrived,  our table was ready, and instead of having to settle the bill at the bar, they said no problem and walked us to our table.

    Between the table we had:
Beggar's Purse:   Good, good stuff.    Yeah, truffle oil.
Pita and Hummus:   I ordered this b/c of some yelp reviews.   It was fresh, but I've had better.  The pita to hummus ratio was a bit lacking so we asked for more Pita.  I was shocked when i saw they charged $1 for the extra.

Wild Mushroom Pasta:   Oh yeah......topped with goat cheese, sooo good.
Short Ribs:   My friend said they were awesome.
Crab Cake Po Boy:    Decent, but not fantastic.    Came to table a lukewarm...probably not the right choice for dinner.  Came with truffle oil fries...oh yeah.....
Wine:  A bottle of white cost $24....really good.

All in all, very glad we tried Bash.   I would go back.

Just wanted to provide an update.  We have returned to Bash a couple of times and we won't be back.

The pasta's are just not very good, and the veggie sandwich is actually pretty bad. Surprisingly, they have one of the worst spinach dips I've ever had.

I know people really want to like this place, but I think it has more to do with WANTING to like it, than actually being good.

    It's average/below average.

If u are looking to be seen or sit on the water this is not your place. If you are looking for a great chef who produces plates that satisfies and then takes your palette one step further this is the spot.
I had the luck of going with a party of four so I got to taste the french onion soup, burger, meatloaf, pecan encrusted chicken, french dip, salad, bread puddin and peach cobbler.
ALL Excellent.  Service was excellent. Next visit I would love to meet the Chef.

A visit to BASH is something you MUST put on your to do list! The food here is AMAZING. A delicious treat every time. There are nightly specials that cater to the seasons and what is fresh in addition to the menu, which has so many yummy dishes on it, I always wish I had 3 or 4 stomachs to try everything! Some of the highlights from our last few visits have been: a truffle mushroom appetizer, an island style pork dish with Caribbean mashed potatoes that just might be the best mashed po, truffle fries, Swordfish with a pineapple and mango salsa, macaroni and cheese that is the gooiest & cheesiest ever! All of the food is made from scratch and the meats are butchered on premises. Just to make sure that you know there is something for everyone here, they have amazing steaks, cut and cooked to perfection, burgers, sandwiches, salads and the prices are extremely affordable enough to make this a weekly stop. You will feel like it is a special event, but don't have to pay the price usually associated with such a special evening.

Then there are the desserts: [Some music intro should be played here.] It is hard to top the delicious entrees and appetizers on the menu, but it just might be done with their nightly dessert specials.  We had these won tons with chocolate inside, I don't remember what they were called, but I will never forget eating them! On the last visit, I had a "Turn Your Frownie Upside-Downie" And it certainly does its job, even after a bad day! My husband is a bread pudding junkie and he loves their bread pudding desserts too! They are made fresh by the pastry chef daily and change with the seasons.

To round out the tri-fecta, the atmosphere and service are just as amazing as the food. Local artists' work are showcased in the dining room and the owners and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and helpful in making the difficult decision of which delicious dish to pick!

This place has most of the right ingredients to be a success. Excellent food and preparation, a good wine list and unbeatable prices. They need to work on dish presentation, menu creativity and service. Our party of four really enjoyed their homemade hummus, short ribs marinated overnight in coca cola and an outstanding pecan crusted chicken. I cant recommend the desserts as they were mostly fried, but their coffee drinks looked fun and elaborate, so may be worth a try next time.

WOW! What a diamond in the rough. Our waitress was awesome! The food was so savoring. My husband and I started out with a bottle of red wine. Their wine prices are like no other place. they sell them to you at retail price. We had the hummus with the warm pita bread and that is by far the best hummus that I have ever had. It was so good and flavorful. Their chicken was amazing! the side dishes were so good. I recommend their mac and cheese. It has some sould to it. For dessert with their fried cheese cake wrapped in a spring roll wrapped and it was fried served with vanilla icecream. I forgot the name, but damm! That was so good. We ended with a glass of dessert wine which was a port and that was so good too. I will definately be a frequent repeat customer here.

The place is a little hidden and it is very small, with only 12 tables, but it is very tastefully decorated. It is a great place for a date and it will not break your bank. Food ranges from $12-$18 per plate. It is well worth it!

Comfortable and cozy. The door opens directly into the restaurant which can be a little unnerving if you're not expecting it - kind of like crashing a party ...

We seated ourselves. The waiter came later and was very nice - consistently throughout the meal. I was hoping for some complimentary bread - I'm totally a bread person but no. So for starters we had the hummus - I second the raves - warm pita, topped with siracha - enough for flavor, not heat. We also had the caesar salad - ok but the dressing was light on flavor and quantity.

MH had the hangar steak - well cooked - he ate almost the whole thing. I had the evening's special - chicken gorgonzola ravioli in a pink sauce. Surprisingly the sauce had strawberries (both pureed and cut) for a definite flavor contrast. Not bad if you like it a bit sweet it would be great but for me but in retrospect, I would have preferred a lemon - basil - walnut sauce but that's just me.

We almost never have dessert but I was craving it afterwards - with the thought it must be wonderful homemade etc. Heard the choices and gravitated to the cheesecake. Now for some reason (I don't know why - I've never done it before but it was like an instinct) I asked if it was made on site - however when I heard it was from BJ's I passed. I don't know if all their desserts are from outside or made on site but it's worth asking if it's important.

Aside from the waiter, I saw the chef, she was polite (even though she didn't initiate the contact) and we chatted a bit. But surprisingly, contrary to the other reviews, she seemed a bit uncomfortable. Later when it started getting empty she sat at the bar with a girlfriend and we all watched the food network.

Tried this place for the first time and I will return.  The service was excellent - our waiter Desmond was very accommodating and knowledgeable.  I had a special for the evening - blue ravioli which had apples, blue cheese and chicken with a cabernet cream sauce.  Rich and delightful.  The ceasar salad was a good starter.

We met the chef Nickie before our food came and felt that we were in good hands and we were right.  My husband had the Bash Pasta and it was very nice.  He enjoyed the lemon vinaigrette on his salad.  We only wish we had saved room for dessert.

Don't be deterred by the plaza that they are located in, it's a nice bistro with inventive fresh food. I want to return soon!

I went back to BASH for a pre-Mothers day dinner.  I stand by my original comments.  Good Food.  Good Atmosphere.  Friendly staff.

I had the chicken in pecan breading and it was juicy inside and crisp outside.  Sauteed spinach was Perfection.
