Beach Bowl has been in the same spot for over 30 years and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.  Yippee!   I used to go there for P.E. in high school to study bowling.  Wasn't very good then and I am not now either.

I was surprised to see that the inside hadn't changed either.  Looks the same as it did 20 years ago.  Even the same floor plan.  So expect some older equipment and the balls are a little banged up.  But even with those set backs it beats driving to town!

I would call first to make sure that you aren't arriving on a league night.  It can get pretty packed and pretty serious in there.  Not to mention, intimidating!  For Cosmic bowling on the weekend nights, call for reservations.  You will wait if you don't.  However the atmosphere is more fun and the drunks aren't as good as the league bowlers!

PS:  $2 domestic, $4 dollar imports and the cheapest beer pitchers in town.

I'd never been to Beach Bowl until my husband's company started doing their Christmas parties there a few years ago.   Everyone always has a great time and we've been back a few times in between just because.

While they do have a lot of lanes, you should keep in mind that it gets crowded on weekends [bowling under blacklights=Cosmic bowling!] and you might have to wait for a lane.  The wait can be alright though--they have a nice [albeit small] bar with a full liquor selection and a decent [for a bowling alley] snack bar.

Speaking of the snack bar, they always do a great job of setting up a spread at the Christmas parties.  Its mainly fried bar food type of snacks, but its not bad at all, considering.

While its a fine bowling alley in and of itself, having been a part of a group function there several times, I would have to recommend Beach Bowl for large groups especially.  I've always had a great time there and I'm pretty sure that any one would.
