The staff is friendly, and always seem to have a smile.
The cheeseburgers were thick and hearty, cooked right, and served on a soft bun.
My kids loved the french fries.
I've been going to Kure Beach for 20+ years and this is the first time we ate here (thanks wholly to the Yelp reviews). Â As I waited in line, I saw others walk up, take a look at the menu, the walk away. Â BIG MISTAKE. Â Eat here. Â You will not regret it.
Great Hand Pattied Burger cooked to order!!! Â Got mine with chilli, onions, slaw, and mustard. Â This is a roadside burger stand in a great location near the Kure Beach Pier. Â They accept cards which is awesome, no hunting down cash if you don't have any. Â The onion rings were not too good, but the burger was great and perfect for a quick lunch at the beach!! Â My only recommendation for the owners of this place would be to start selling some fresh french fries to go with those fresh burgers!!!
Review Source:Thought this would be a great burger, because it looked like one of those hole-in-the-wall places that just can't be bear. It's just OK. The fried were a bit too salty for my taste, and, to be honest, it pretty much tasted like a Bubba Burger. If you have a craving for a burger by the pier, it;s a good choice over your regular fast food fare, but there might be something better at some of the other local spots.
Review Source:Was in the mood for a good burger and decided to give this place a try, every time I go to the pier there is always a line so it must be good right?
I ended up getting a cheeseburger and fries with a sweet tea and all I can say was YUMMY! Fresh burger, patted to perfection and all the toppings were fresh and crisp. Fries were just typical frozen fried and salted but was still good.
Prices are very reasonable, its within walking distance to the beach and pier. Next time I will try there ice cream.
If you are on the island and craving a burger, then this is your place.
This little shack is a must stop. My family stayed in Kure last summer& were w/o a car. There is no grocery store, and the two restaurants are overpriced and unimpressive. This shack quickly became our favorite. We would come in the morning for coffee & delicious breakfast sandwiches, and came back for dinner since we were so impressed. The prices are SUPER. The family that runs it is warm and friendly. The hand made burgers, perfection. We came to CB this summer with plans to swing by The Beach House!
Review Source:My daughter and I had to make an unexpected stay in Kure Beach last weekend and she wanted seafood for dinner, so we walked down to Big Daddy's, which was just up from our hotel. Â When we were turned away by their pricing, we walked across the street to check out the little shanty sitting right on Ft. Fisher Blvd selling burgers. Â Wow, am I ever glad we did!
I ordered a cheeseburger, which comes loaded NC-style (chili & slaw), and fries; daughter ordered the fried bologna sandwich, which she devoured (because, she said, it was so good) while I was still unwrapping by burger and trying to figure how to best hold this behemoth. Â That's because this burger wasn't a patty that was fished from the freezer when I submitted my order; it was a patty crafted by hand from fresh ground beef, about 1/3lb, then stacked with lettuce and onion and pickles and the chili/slaw (no tomatoes, please....). Â Yes, it was a little sloppy (when *isn't* an NC-style burger sloppy?), but it was oh-so-good!
It's not the kind of place that screams "Come see us!", but do yourself a favor and check them out!
