My husband and I have gone here for brunch on Sundays, and it is wonderful. They have $8 bottomless mimosas on Sundays, and the food is great too! I love the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and my husband swears by the chicken burrito with green chile. The coffee is really good, too- not too acidic, which is important to me, but still strong, which hubby likes.
Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere! And free wifi! They have a meeting room too... Not sure what it's used for, but it looks like maybe study groups?
I really want to "love the local" when it comes to coffee shops, but I always seem to have less-than-satisfactory experiences. Add this place to that list.
I went in with a Living Social voucher for $10 (the $20 promotional value had already expired but you're still allowed to use them for the amount you paid). The woman in charge (manager? owner?) seemed annoyed by it, all but rolling her eyes and commenting to the barista, "We're gonna be honoring those for the next FIVE YEARS." I realize that not all small businesses end up benefiting from the flash deals, but that's not my fault as a customer. The barista was a little friendlier when she brought my drinks and food out, but it didn't quite make up for being made to feel like a burden/cheapskate/interloper(?) when I walked in. I will say that they treated the regulars who came in like long-lost friends, so maybe this is a good spot if you're looking for a daily hangout.
As for the quality: I got a veggie breakfast sandwich on a croissant (yummy, though the croissant could have been a little crispier/flakier) and the Bean & Berry white chocolate raspberry latte (a little bitter for my taste, but fine). Prices are about on par with other coffee shops in the area -- a bit pricey but not outrageous.
My wife and I ate dinner here this past week with the help of our Living Social voucher. Â Our meal/drinks came to around $25 which included two dinner items, two drinks ( beer and wine) and a desert. Â The food was good although it could have used a bit more dressing up on the presentation. Â If your super hungry this might not be the place for you as the portions are properly sized and not American sized (I.e. Huge). Â The owner and staff are super friendly and I would love to see this place do well. Â Give them a try! Â They also appear to offer $5 breakfast burrito with a coffee which isn't a bad deal.
