Before you get harsh with me, I've given this place 4 chances; 3 lunch buffets and one regular dining experience. Â I think I've given it a fair shake.
Here's why it kinda sucks. Â For me, anyway.
First, the pizza is acceptable, but nothing special. Â Bearno's claims to bake "Louisville Style Pizza." Â I have a difficult time figuring out what makes it different from regular pizza. Â I know what New York-style pizza is. Â I know what Chicago-style pizza is. Â I even know what California-style pizza is. Â I find no reason to give Louisville its own pizza style and Bearno's couldn't really provide an answer. Â You do get a pretty broad selection of toppings and options on the lunch buffet as well as a couple of pastas, bread sticks and salads. Â But, and I say this again, the pizza isn't any better than most take-out places. Â It is, however, more expensive.
Secondly, the service is slow. Â During my standard dining experience, our table was one of only 3 occupied in the whole place and our cups still ran dry. Â Service was glacial.
Finally, I didn't really feel comfortable. Â I don't wear camoflage, college-licensed unitards or sweatpants to dinner and this put me out of place among the majority of the other patrons who seemed to be getting better service. Â
There is a nice deck to one side of the building that could provide for a pleasant dining experience during the warmer months. Â I do have concern if that might mean getting your own beverages, though.
