I wish we had these in the DC area.  Unfortunately, the closest one to DC is in Ohio.  Since I was on a work trip in Indiana, I was able to eat at this one in Jeffersonville, IN.  This sub chain is 100 times better than Subway and Quiznos.  Granted, it's not trying to be super healthy like Subway, but you can eat healthy here if you want and get an amazing sub in the process.

The menu is simple and straight-forward (my kind of place).  I ordered a delicious Chicken Parmesan sub.  It was a perfect mix of chicken, cheese, and sauce on an evenly toasted piece of bread.  The sauce was not overflowing (huge positive), so I was able to eat the sub without creating a mess on the table, my hands, and/or face.  My sub came with an ample side of fresh-cut fries.  You could actually see the potatoes that were being cut to make the fries.  if you include the fountain drink I ordered, my total came to about $8.  Not the greatest price for a lunch sub place, but considering the food quality, I think it was a very fair price.

The service was fast and efficient.  My entire party, 4 of us, were able to order and receive our food within 5 minutes.  The atmosphere was pleasant and fairly typical of most sub places I have frequented.  The best part of our lunch was when one of their employees came to our table and offered a free cookie to each of us.  It was tasty and well-received.  I appreciate this extra level of service, because I rarely see this type of service in the DC area.  This is how you get people to come back to your establishment.

Overall, I had a perfect experience at this Penn Station East Coast Subs location.  I cannot wait to visit this area again, so I can try another one of their delicious subs.  I don't see any flaws with this chain of sub shops.  Other sub restaurant chains, like Quiznos (see my Temple Hills review), should not get business when great franchises like this exist.   Visit, Support, and Eat at Penn Station East Coast Subs and maybe I'll be able to enjoy their subs at a DC location one day.
