Possibly my favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara county, if not the whole of California. Amazing sandwiches, absolutely wonderful ambience. Jamie, the owner and host, runs an incredible shop. If you're passing through or in the area for a few days you need to check this place out.
Having sampled almost all of the sandwiches on their menu I can recommend the meatloaf sandwich as well as the BLT. Honestly all of their sandwiches are delicious though. Also if you can, have a Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. beer or glass of wine with the meal and sit out in the back seating area. You won't regret it!
Way overrated. Maybe this is the only place in the area that tries a more sophisticated take on a lunch menu, but I can't understand all these ratings. First off, its pricey, expect $13-15 for sandwiches. I got the pork belly sandwich and there were just so many things wrong. Pork belly is supposed to have that awesome combo of tender meat and fat - this sandwich was more like pulled pork. Also, there are other ways to season stuff besides salt. Maybe the guy spilled the entire damn shaker of salt on mine? Â My wife ordered a tuna melt and also got a side of food poisoning.
