Went to Bellas for Friday nite fish and chips special for two, after discussing specials with bartender. Chowder red and white had lots of sand in them, never got clam cakes, fish was very greasy and had big bones in both dinners (gross)! The bill came and we were over charged and the special wasn't entered, the bartender was crappy about adjusting price! After all that we tried cashing in keno tickets we bought from them and we're told machine won't recognize ticket to go to a gas station, it wasn't their problem, I asked why it's now my problem, but somehow he figured it out! Horrible food save your money go somewhere else, very disappointed!
Ordered 2 cups of white chowder and 2 fish and chips on Friday's specials.  One order was with sweet potatoe fries and the other regular fries, 2 beers and an ice tea.  A typical order for two, right?  Well, the chowder wasn't bad, but too salty.  Then came our fish and chips.  The fish was overcooked and dry, but eatable.  BUT the sweet potatoe fries were BURNT AND BLACK!  And both orders delivered to us had these obviously ruined sweet potatoe fries on our plates, when one was suppose to be regular fries.  The waitress had 2 customers at the bar and 2 at a table and us, so she wasn't over loaded with customers, I don't feel.  It was 2:30 on a Friday afternoon.  So she and the cook decided serving black/ burnt fries to us was okay, I guess.  When she came back with the second beer, I told her "nicely" that my fries were too burnt and that I couldn't eat them and that my husband ordered regular fries, not sweet potatoe fries.  She said, " Oh, I'll bring you an order of regular fries."  And soon she brought a basket full which were deep fried, but soggy and also not very good.  She never offered to remove the black/burnt fries so we piled them off to the side and ate the fish.  When  we got our check she told us she didn't charge us for the drinks.  We paid and left, never to return again. Â
This place advertises some very enticing meals and we were looking forward to eating there, but the uncaring staff about what they served us was a real turnoff. Â We won't be eating there again. Â Believe me, we are not fussy eaters and eat out often, but not there any more.
I'm disappointed in this place since the last time I went a couple months ago. A couple months ago I went and it was somewhat quiet and we got a seat outside by the water, all was good.
Most recently I was here on Cinco De Mayo and I was not impressed. First of all, we wanted a seat outside as it was a nice day - we asked our waitress if we could take out some chairs from behind the outside bar and set them out. She replied saying, 'Probably not seeing my boss is out there." So, not only would her boss not let her allow their patrons to simply take out chairs but it occurred to me he was taking up the entire patio with all his friends rather than allowing for his paying customers to sit outside.
After getting over the fact that we couldn't sit outside we decided to order some food. We saw the grinders were like 3.99 or something if your order before 3:00 so we all decide to get one. My boyfriend gets the eggplant parm strictly with NO CHEESE.
We wait for our food for around 45 minutes which is unusually long for sandwiches but we're drinking having a good time and don't really mind.
Finally the food comes. As I knew would happen they put cheese on the eggplant parm. We give it back to our waitress who profusely apologizes and promises to return with it fixed. After about 2 minutes she returns with the SAME SANDWICH with the cheese SCRAPED OFF. You could still see it on the bread. To me that says you clearly don't give a shit that you messed something up enough to simply make another one.
We hail the waitress and point out the error and ask to have it taken off our bill due to frustration. The one thing I will give this place credit for is the waitress who served us because she was genuinely sorry and even offered to pay for a replacement - which she should never have to do in the first place. That alone makes me wary of this place. Why would a waitress feel it necessary to offer to pay for something herself when it was clearly the laziness of the kitchen staff? That is completely absurd.
To top it all off our bill came out wrong as they mischarged us for the subs although, when pointed out the waitress came and remedied the situation.
Also forgot to mention when standing outside it was like a meat market. Just a bunch of drunken slobs (at around 4:00 in the afternoon) pining over every woman who walked out of the place. I don't find that attractive or funny especially when I and I am sure other women were there with their boyfriends or what have you.
I was told at 1pm during a Red Sox game that I couldn't order food because the manager/cook had left the building.... If you claim to serve food you should be able to order at lunch time... I saw the manager come back a hour or two later & he was extremely rude to his staff. Won't go there again!!
Review Source:Pros: Â strong drinks; Â bartenders who give out free drinks/shots when ticked off at the management
Cons: Â bad food, the rudest manager I've ever encountered.
dirty
bartenders who share WAY too much inappropriate, trashy information about themselves. Â
filthy
I definitely won't be back.
Was a bit weary after reading the reviews, but my girlfriend and her parents invited me there for lunch. Mostly because I'm underage I didn't expect much from a sober meal, for thanks to Bar Rescue I've expected bar food to always be terrible, sober or not.
I was surprised when I entered, because I thought the stereotype about bars was true. The atmosphere was very cold, as was the actual temperature. We were seated quickly by a nice bartender/waitress. Looking across the menu I suspected this was different from other Pubs I have been to (Fat Belly's, for example) because the options were fun, being anywhere from burgers named after sports players and managers to other things. I got a pulled pork sandwich topped with bacon, ham and Mac n' Cheese (yes, Mac n' Cheese!). It was surprisingly delicious for being an odd concoction,
I will definitely go again.

There's a list of violations from the health department in case you are interested.
I don't normally write reviews but this is one for the books!
Reasons not to ever go to BELLAS PUB:
1. Â When the waitress doesn't know the wine list -ok I get it...it's a Pub but all she had to say is it's on the menu!
2. Â When the waitress brings over the wine with lipstick stains on the glass BAD SIGN
3.  After eating our food, which sucked, but ate out of hunger, we find a rubber band in the food  REALLY BAD SIGN!
4. Â When they come over with an excuse where the rubber band came from "scallions" !!! HILARIOUS, none of our dinners had onions let alone scallions in it!
5. Â Charge 1.95 for a side of celery, for a seven year old which was the ends you use for soup! JUST WRONG!
Definitely will not be back!
