Nice selection of beers and good food!

A cool little place for being in Santa Clarita.

Friendly, attentive bartenders... great beers on tap...good environment for chatting with friends. I'm a fan.

    I'm glu-tarded (allergic to wheat/gluten) so I went with a cider + a sausage sample.
It was yummy. I want more!!!

Great experience regarding their beer selection.  Otherwise, we were there in the afternoon and it was pretty hot inside (everyone from our group agreed) and the music was so low it seemed kind of boring.  The food was fun, nothing too exciting or outrageous.  They should think about getting more into the craft bar food scene (for ideas, check out Beer Belly as an example).  Nice place to hang out though overall...considering Santa Clarita doesn't exactly have anything unique about it.

I love the place, it's not going to win any awards for being a great deal but that's fine. What drives me crazy though is every time we go on Saturday evenings, they have a shitty DJ playing super loud music, to the point you can't hear the person next to you! WTF, this is a pub not a night club!?

Terrific selection of Beers.  Funky DK.  Great atmosphere.  The only issue I have is the place gets friggin' LOUD on a Friday or Saturday night.  As long as you don't plan on having any kind of meaningful conversation, you'll have a blast.

They have a good atmosphere and a great selection of really good beers. I've gotta try their bison burger next time.

My had business in Santa Clarita so she dropped me off here. I spent the next two hours drinking bier and eating hot sausages. The owners are nice young folks and can carry on a conversation about bier. Large selection of craft bier and tasty sausages.

Glad I found this place randomly on Yelp!  They have a good selection of beers and have a simple bar menu.  I can definitely see myself hang out here if i lived around the area as the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly and the place was clean.  They have big screens, so I'm assuming this would a good spot to watch some games.  And they have a digital juke box that played some hip hop, so it was quite nice to find a chill place that played music other Journey.

Its Santa Clarita. There is not much for low key divey places that don't have grandpa as a regular.

Owners are young, cool, and dig unique styles of beer. They also have Angry Orchard on tap :) which is a good breakfast beer.

Also their Sausage Plate is the tits. Swiss Brat, and Hot Italian ( just how i like my women )

Enjoy the large selection of high ABV beers!

One of the best pubs in santa clarita. Great selection of beers (on tap and bottles), pretty good food, and plenty of sports. The staff is always friendly but sometimes slow due to probably being understaffed. I'm hoping this place stays around.

We came here for my wife's 30 th birthday party. The beer selection and people are nice. I am confused by the atmosphere. One time I was in here there was a Jazz band that was too loud and the last time it was old school rap. The music and the menu doesn't match. But the food and drinks are great which keeps me coming back.

Coming from a huge beer fan, this place is exactly what I have been looking for in that past few years. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. I like how they have a small menu for food as well to enjoy your drinks. Really great place to catch up with friends for a bit! :)

Nice to have this place in the SCV. Good concept. Good beers on tap. The location is a little bit of the beaten path but it's worth a try. The only drawback is the pricing for anything not sausage, it's what they feature and it's good. Burger was like 12 bucks and seemed like something you'd get at a baseball field snack bar. Shrink the menu and just focus more on signature items. Still better than most places in the valley.

This place is great!  Good gastro pub food and an amazing selection of beers.  One downfall is that it smells like the salon next door sometimes.  I also went once and the band was incredibly loud, and not good.  The beer and food are worth the trip and the staff is very nice.

Came here on a Saturday night.  $2 shock tops, stellas and BA home brew.  The guys behind the bar were great and extended this deal until 1030, just because.  They had a DJ start around 930 and he played good music.  Not a dance place, but just a place to chill, have some beers, and listen to music.  The strawberry beer was really good.  It's served in a champagne flute.  They will put any game you want on the TVs on Saturday and Sunday.  The food is really good too.  The garlic fries are not overly garlic-y which is good, because some places straight burn your tongue from too much garlic.  The chicken sandwhich was VERY good, as well as their hummus, which is a large portion of hummus and pita bread.  Lastly, their sweet potato fries were A-MA-ZING with their honey butter sauce drizzled on top!  Will def go back!

I am sorry to say the atmosphere in here is a downer! I have been a few times and it is the same every time. But I have only been in the day light hours so I give a break with 2 1/2 stars based on that!
    CONS:
No up beat vibe at all!
     Dark and a bit depressing.
Seems no one wants to talk at all
Football Sunday and only 5-7 people in the joint????
    Pros:
Food is pretty good for a beer bar
     Selection good
If you want to feel unhappy for some reason and drink good beer while doing so

Great place in canyon country, best place to get some good beers and even better sausages.  Try their sausages w/ cheese in them, they're awesome.

Owner usually tends the bar and he's a nice guy, chat it up!

Awesome place! Great taps, all kinds of awesome beers that you won't find at any other bar. I had the smoke cheddar brat, very good. The sweet potato fries are by far the best I've ever had in my life. They have a honey butter glaze that is outstanding. Trissie is the owner and was our server/bartender. The service was great and she was very helpful and knowledgable. I will be back for sure

A mom and pop run bar with a great selection of IPA and other Craft Brews.
The food is good stick to your ribs bar food and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the brews that they serve.

Definitely going to stop by here from time to time.

+ Good rotating taps (including Belgian Trippels and Oregon IPAs). Friendly bartenders (unless you're an already-drunk tool when you arrive who orders PBR).

    - Since changing management, their open hours seem less consistent - but it's also tucked away in a strip mall and most people don't know it's here.

= Great, cozy place for good beer without heading into LA proper.

F%&K the naysayers cause they don't mean a thing.

If you you love a good strong beer that leaves you callin' for an overpriced SCV yellow ride than this is the place for you.  The BA oozes originality and hometown dedication - predominantly CA brews...but those liquids you've never heard of that can't claim such ground shall earn respect upon consumption.  Trust the ways of the masters that dictate the offerings of this fine ethanol dojo.

Whether you count your calories or indulge guilt free you will be more than satisfied with the menu array.  Customize your feast to best accommodate the yeast... the BA is not for the simple and faint of heart.  The olfactorial pleasure of this place will drive you to make up your own words... in an attempt to describe your fervent disposition on the interpretation of a taste bud sensation.

But, honestly, folks - check out the Bier Academy.  Such a place is unprecedented in the SCV and it holds more personality than anything else in a 20 mile radius.

The Bier Academy is my favorite place to drink beer in Santa Clarita. I visit the place quite a bit because it has three things that set it apart from the other bars in the SCV. First, they have mostly all American craft beer on tap. Second they don't take up tap space with light, macro lagers. And finally they have lots of rotation with the beers they bring in so you see different draft selections all the time.

I have noticed a big sports bar boom here in the SCV, having anywhere from 20-40 draft beers but they pretty much all have the same selection. Coors Light, Bud & Budlight, Blue Moon, every variety of Shock Top, Sam Adams Seasonal, Guinness and maybe New Castle. Craft offerings are usually the same too; DBA, Alaska White, Widmer Seasonal, Stone IPA, etc. Don't get me wrong, all of those beers are perfectly fine and even Bier Academy will carry a few of them, my point is that I personally like to try new beers and no other place out here is going to have Double Trouble DIPA, Knuckle Sandwich, G'Knight or even things like White Rascal and Ship Wreck.

I have read a few of the reviews and i was a bit surprised that someone said they don't have IPAs. Last time i was there they had two standard IPAs on tap, one DIPA and one Belgian IPA (four total). If you want something different just go back another time and things will be swapped out. That is why i like this place so much, i don't get bored with the draft selection. I also like how they have cards that let you rate the different beers you have had, and you can keep track of what you liked and what your preferences tend to be.

I can't give too much detail as to the food because i'm vegan, and this place has lots of meat and dairy in their kitchen haha. I do have some good options, though. The garlic fries are great, the hummus plate and home made potato chips are also very good. All of the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed,  the place is clean and i never fail to meet new people when i go.

Came here for beer on a Thursday night. Prices were appropriate and what we expected: 6 beers for $30 which included a Coconut Porter, Sea Dog Blue Paw, Fruli, Old Rasputin, Allagash White, and Lost Coast Downtown Brown.  Can't comment on their entrees as five of us only split a basket of sweet potato fries (drizzled in honey!) and they were delicious.  They have a good beer list and I know we'll be back.  It is true that they were out of some beers listed on the menu, but I see that as a good thing as it means the beer is actually being consumed and not sitting around longer than it should be.

Confused by previous reviews stating it was too bright in here - The lights were very dim at 8pm, music was loud enough to identify the songs yet not so loud that you couldn't hear conversation at the table.  Ambiance was good.  Bier Academy could  keep their website a little more updated as the Events page lists World Cup and Trivia events from last June (it is now March).

Let's just say I'm not a beer drinker...I prefer my liquor to go by the names of Jack and Jose. But I love that this place has fruity beers for people like me! And I even heard they are planning on creating beer cocktails! Can't wait to try those! Anyways, the hummus is SO DAMN GOOD! I plan on trying other food as well, along with trying all (well, maybe not all) the beers this place has to offer.

Who knows, maybe I will become a beer drinker after all after hitting this place up a few more times. Thanks for the amazing fruit beers!

P.S. Actually, it is Oktoberfest and bier is the German way of spelling beer, doesn't mean it is incorrect! Jeez people, get your head out of your asses.

    GOOD:
Excellent beer on tap. The website doesn't match up with the listings in the bar, so don't go in expecting an Allagash FOUR quadrupel because you saw it online, but do expect something equally as good. Actually, come to think of it, the Young's Double Chocolate Stout I ordered was on the "on tap" list but came out in a bottle last night. Hm.

    BAD:
It's way, way too bright in there to be a good beer bar. It was like drinking in a Walgreens. The music (a mix of 70s and 80s hits - think more Phil Collins and less Van Halen, though) was too loud to hold any semblance of a conversation. Lots of kids running around -- I guess because it's a restaurant/grill, too.

    THE EXTRAS:
Foosball table. 4 TVs showing a Lakers game and running the NHL Network. Nice.

I think this place would be good for day drinking, or maaaybe after the kiddies go to bed. Could be made better by dimming the lights a bit, and playing the music a little softer. I'd definitely come back for the beer selection.

Honestly, going to a place with new owners is like going into a house that used to be your favorite grandmother's house after she had an unexpected aneurism--everything is there...but somehow this shit isn't the same.

For one, they put in new lights; so it's like I'm having a beer in a some sort of a factory staff lounge area.

Another BIG change is that the menu and beer menu is different. Gone is the lamb chops, a few sausages and WHERETHEFUCK IS MY STRONGBOW?! My menu also came sticky and dirty.

We ordered our usual chips with no seasoning. I think the waiter thought it was weird, but he put the order in. The chips came out great, but while we were enjoying that we read some past reviews since the new owners and noticed how everything just wasn't the same.

I think the best part was when we actually wanted to order more and the guy (and I'm pretty sure he's one of the managers) was busy on his Iphone. Awesome! I'm hoping there's a legitimate positive review (legitimate, meaning a person who actively uses Yelp with a credible amount of reviews, at least 10-20) to get me to want to order the food, but I guess I'm going to stick to the chips and beer.

I have been here several times and was planning on writing a good review for this place since I have enjoyed it previously

However I'm sorry to say things have taken a turn for the worse, at least from the food aspect.

The beer selections are awesome there is no doubting that so if that's what you are looking for you'll like this place

First, we wanted to get the sausage sample for an appetizer. Well of all of the sausages on the menu(they have like 12), they were out of most of them (on a Saturday night??). How do you not have 75% of what is the main feature on your menu at 7PM on the busiest night of the week?? Anyway we got one of the ones they did have and it was great--except it came AFTER we got our entree. Whatever, I could overlook that.

So I ordered a BA burger--have had it more than once before, it was quite good the last couple of time and they also had fresh cut garlic fries. Well those are both out the window. What was previously a large meaty burger was now replaced  by 2 thin, generic fresh-out-of-the-freezer section, unseasonsed beef patties and the bun was your basic out of the bag supermarket garden-variety bun.  Basically it was like burger king but a lot more expensive. The fresh cut fries replaced by standard frozen fries

Don't know what happened. Cutting costs, I would guess.

Sad to see a non-chain Santa Clarita good place go downhill.

If you want beer and TVs it's a good place, but for eats, I wouldn't recommend. I hope someone writes a future review that states that the quality has returned, but until then, probably won't go back.

Came here for Game 7 of the Canucks / Bruins playoff game. They were one of the few places around playing the game, with full audio.

This is a pretty solid place, great beer selection and the dude working there gave me some good recommendations. They have a lot of seasonal stuff, so their selection will change often I imagine.

Food is top notch. The sliders were my favorite, sweet potato fries are also excellent.  The sausage dominates their menu, the guy working there gave some good recommendations on that as well. I don't know the difference between Hungarian vs Polish vs German sausage, and all the permutations thereof.

There aren't many places in Canyon Country that are good sports bars.  Oggi's is okay, but you've gotta drive to North Hollywood for most anything else. Fortunately Bier Academy is a great choice for catching the game and having a few beers.

Unfortunately Canucks lost the game, I did what I could to contain my desire to riot and overturn some cars.

I use to go here when it was the Londoner!  Man oh man, what a transformation!  Great decor, huge beer menu, great food and great service.  I liked it so much I went there 3 days in a row.

I had sausages, a bratwurst a bockwurst, with potato salad.  All delicious.  My friends ordered the spicy Feta cheese Yogurt dip, outstanding!  Their homemade potato chips are also very good.

They serve beer and wine only, so no hard alcohol.  The beer selection is large but the wine selection could be a little better.  I'm sure that will change.  I got the idea the owners  are very committed to making this a place people will want to frequent, I sure do.

Wowoweewaa. A beer bar in the SCV that is relatively cheap!?!? Good things should never exist in this Valley but thankfully places like Bier Academy can help me drown my post-college sorrows on a Wednesday night.

I've been here several times and have noticed that the bar could change character depending on the day of the week. Come here on a Friday and Saturday and you'll have to deal with bros and douchebags. Thankfully, they leave you alone but I think I could do without the douche crowd. I usually just go on a Wednesday or a Thursday since the bar is usually chill, although I could go drink without the silly music.

As for the food, I've only had the 2-sausage with fries and pita bread deal. It's kind of cool that they have a wide array of sausages at their disposal. I usually pick the Polish sausage and bratwurst, although I should really try their other selections.

The beer list is good, but not 5-star great. They have a wide array of Belgian whites, German beer, IPA, and so on, but not a lot on tap. I wish that they would have more on tap but alas, this is SCV, not fucking Wurstkuche. Thankfully, they carry Allagash Four on tap (wonderful, yet thick stuff).

Some nights showcase comedy hour and other nights have MLS matches to watch. I've noticed that they have sports channels on every lcd tv in the bar, including a Fox Soccer and Gol TV. I would have love to catch the UEFA Champions League Finals if they had the right crowd for it (which I'm sure they do).

So yeah, this is my go to place on a week night. I would give this five stars if it weren't for the douchey crowd on weekends and lack of beers on tap. Worth a visit folks.

So me and my girl came here after hearing from a buddy a gastropub has opened in Valencia.. We checked the reviews and saw it was doing well but the food we had just didn't reflect what people were saying about it...The chef has supposedly worked with Gordon Ramsey but anyone who knows how to cook a sausage right can run the kitchen...

Me and my girl had the sausage plates which were okay...what bothered me was we also ordered kettle chips as an appetizer....we got it after they served us our main dishes...and to top it off they were soggy, limp, and nasty....com'on chef! Gordon would be pissed that you would send out food like that!

The Beer selection was good but with only a few beers on tap and the majority of their selection being bottled it made the experience very mediocre...if that's the case I'd rather go to Bev-mo and get me a variety pack of micro brews....

    Overall, an "okay" experience.

    This place is amazing.

They have over 100 beers here from different countries. They even have "the list" where you keep track of which beers you've had. And, if you try every single beer, you get 10% off for life. Although I could never try every beer they have, my boyfriend and his friend are determined to. The only reason I had to knock off a star is because their food is a little on the pricey side for what you get, and also because our server was pleasant to the boys, but not giving great vibes to me.

Call me a kiss-ass, but I'm shootin' to get straight A's at the Bier Academy! That means perfect attendance in those super comfy bar chairs, intensive study of their beer and food menus, and Honor Roll if I'm not an obnoxious patron! (Fat chance...)

The course description is as follows: Saddle up to the bar, order something from the menu you've never heard of (it's okay to ask for help and preferences - that's what they're there for), and inquire about recording your progress on the most interesting report card you'll ever come across!

BIER 101: Start with easing into the selection with an old favorite. Mine was Stella, an easy choice considering the $2 special at the time. My BFF liked the Doggie Style, but who doesn't?

For eats, we had my favorite/usual, Sweet Potato Fries ($4), followed with a burger served with kettle chips ($9) and a side of sauteed asparagus ($4). The food was good - SPFs were a little too sweet (I like them garlic-y, not maple syrup-y), the burger was flavorful, and the kettle chips were bomb diggity (like a french fry and chip all in one - yum!!), and the asparagus was nice.

Our second (and best) round was Delirium for me, and the bartender Alan's recommendation, Hop Stoopid, for ma lady. Delirium was really good, one of the best beers I've tasted, but I think Hop Stoopid may be better IMO. And the bottle is ginormous!

RECESS: Quick trip for Thrifty's ice cream for dessert.

BIER 102: Return to the Academy after recess, while the night is still young. Continuing with our studies, I tried the Downtown Brown (almost exactly like Newcastle) and she had the Red Seal.

After all this beer enjoyment, I needed some water - Alan's response was Coors Light... funny guy.

Bier Academy is open late (until 2:00 a.m.) every night for all you overachievers.

NOTE: always be prepared for a pop quiz - they have events that are not regularly scheduled, to keep things interesting. This time it was comedy night.

EXTRA CREDIT: you can come here with the excuse that you're support small, local business! What a team player! +5 EC pts.!

I'm not gonna lie; I wanted to squeeze a review in for November, before my tally sheet shows a big fat void of nothingness for this month.

I wanted to think of a place worthy of peeling my eyes away from Parenthood (airing at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays) for an hour, and thought of the one place I had been to the most this past month.

    Enter:  Bier Academy

My mind sets adrift of memory bliss when I think of this place, because this is a change of pace bar for the myriad of the typical bars you'll find in Santa Clarita. You've got a lot of dive bars, and you've got the chain bars with the likes of TGI Fridays and BJs.  Bier Academy is something you not only find in between that spectrum, but also something that you find comforting in the sense that Jack Tripper and Larry Dallas found the Regal Beagle comforting.  You feel like you've been here before, and you can't wait to come back.

I've been told about their insane selection of beer, which precipitated my interest.  Most of the beer are bottled, but having 12 different beers on tap is certainly welcoming for those who prefer draft.  Basically, they're giving you options for beer from all over the world -- Belgium, Germany, England, U.S., Canada, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Greece, Holland and if I keep on listing more countries you'll soon think I'm giving you a geography quiz.

So... three times I've been here the past month, and each time I've come in like a champ wanting to try everything they have.  But, really, I've only stuck with the tried and true.  Whenever I try something new and get instantly smitten over, I keep following it around like a lovestruck puppy.  I'm in smit with the Delirium.  That is my beer of choice at the moment.  And I've had it each and every time I've visited.  I've also had the Chimay (an old stand-by of mine), the Shipyard IPA (because I'm an IPA-kinda guy), and I was told by my friend whom I came here with on one of the occasions, that I have to try the Allagash White. Hmm... maybe.

I also had some German beer here, but because I haven't perfected speaking from the back of my throat, I don't know how to pronounce it.  Out of courtesy, I will refrain from mentioning it until I've learned to have it sound out of my mouth properly.

And, not that we need to talk about anything else, since you're probably reading this review because you like beer or thought that there was a misspelling in the name, but the place is a noshfest. They've brought a gastro-pub feel to this establishment with more of a gourmet flair.  I had the sweet potato fries, that they lightly sprinkle with salt, and dare I say a touch of garlic parmesan, as well?  My palate isn't as refined as 99% of the Yelpers who write reviews, but I could have easily ordered another batch of them.  (They could stand to give you bigger portions, actually.)

You'll also find sliders on the menu, as well as hummus, a spicy feta dip, sauteed asparagus -- which I had and recommend, salads, a wide variety of sausages, and gourmet sandwiches.  They also have desserts here, as well. Really, this place gives you great tasting snacking options (in case your night places emphasis on the drinking), or full on meals (in case you prefer the drinking to merely supplement your dining).

Lastly, the service is pretty attentive. The bartender can be pretty icy on some days, and a little more chatty on others. (There is more than one, but I'm referring to the one I've seen each and every time I've been there.)  But, my last visit had a very nice waitress making sure we had everything we needed on a regular basis.

Oh, dear, look at this review.  Just look at it!  I swear I intended on making this a short review, but when I really like a place, I find myself singing its praises from rooftops.  Or... writing really long reviews, apparently.

Just be lucky that I'm not  telling you about this in person, because you don't want to hear me sing.

    - Will

It's no secret that I love beer. So, if Santa Clarita wants to present me with a new place to throw back a few, I am aok with that. Bier Academy doesn't look like it was completely finished (architecturally on the inside) but they have an extensive selection of beer (even if some complain about the spelling or lack of draft options) and a kick ass price point (you had me at Leffe for $4), so if not putting money into decking out the walls means cheaper beer for me, I say to hell with ambiance!

The staff isn't the warmest but as long as you aren't going with the intention of discussing life with them, you'll enjoy yourself.

When I saw that the Londoner was being replaced by a specialty beer bar, I got excited. Finally, a place like Blue Palms or Simmzy's finally in the SCV! We never get these LA trends as fast as we should so I just waited for the opening and to check it out.

    Not so fast.

Yes, there's a lot of beer here but of the 10 taps, they include Coors Light, Stella, Blue Moon, Guinness.

Uh, I can get that anywhere!

Where's Eagle Rock, Crafstman, Bootlegger's, Brouwerij West?

    Nowhere in sight.

Only local brew on tap was the excellent Gentleman's Scholar and Fireman's Brewnette but even that's off the menu for now. They do rotate taps and some of the choices are good but there aren't enough of them. The owners claim that the reason they do this is because they want the general beer drinker to come in and maybe have something familiar and then migrate to the better stuff.

So why doesn't Blue Palms do this?

Because they want you to have the best beer experiences possible, And that's where this place fails. Same deal with bottles. So you have some really good stuff mixed in with Corona and Coors. They have a deal where if you drink eventually one of every bottle they got, you get a T-Shirt. Good idea for business but I won't accomplish it because I'm not going to waste money on a crappy Corona!

As for the food, it's a different story. The chef comes from Gordon Ramsay's The London and the burger is really good. The bun is another story. Looks like it came from Smart and Final. Improve that and you've got the best burger in the SCV.

Fries are incredible. The real reason to come here. Really thick cut with the skins still on. Loaded with Garlic. Only thing wrong was a bit too much salt. Reduce the sodium and you've got a winner.

Wings are decent. Meaty and tasty. Would love to see a Garlic variety and there'd be no reason to walk over to WingStop.

Overall, a decent effort but the beer selection must improve. There's got to be a bigger influence of craft beers and locally produced ones at that. Do that and there will be no reason to drive down to the Music Box anymore.

I can't say I am a beer snob but I definitely am in training though living in Santa Clarita really hasn't help much in learning the craft.

In a town where Bud/Coors Light are king and queen, the most exotic you'll find is Stella and a hef is no where near a real hefewiezen it was a breath of fresh air to hear that a beer bar was opening in my neck of the boonies.  To my delight, the12 beers on tap and over 65 in total BA probably has the widest selection that Santa Clarita has ever seen.  The variety stretches from Brother Theloniouis to Weihenstephaner, Chimay to Le Trappe with a few usuals such as Corona, Blue Moon and even Coors light *sigh*

There was a slight hitch from the start as some beers on the menu were misspelled, mislabeled and mis-categorized but 'twas the pains of growth and they have taken note and since changed and were very open about it.  The food selection is decent with brats, burgers and sandwiches as well as more knife and fork fare as well.  The best beer snack though is definitely the house made chips.

I like that they have a program that if you try all the beers and rate them you get a lifetime 10% discount and a t-shirt.  Great way for undeveloped palettes to try new brews with the bar still being able to profit.  But what I am afraid of is that there isn't enough explanation of each brew, there is no standard of what is expected of each type of beer.  Beer just like wine can be subjective but just because you don't like something doesn't mean it is good and I have to put a HEAVY emphasis on this matter because I honestly don't believe the city is remotely near being able to appreciate what this bar has to offer.  Without further education, than just a tasting, I don't think the clientele will be able to understand beyond what taste good and taste bad beyond what you know if when what you've tasted and have gotten used to in the past was never good.

4 (on a slight SCV curve) stars for selection, the attempt to educate the ignorant, late hours, quasi-friendly staff and moderate prices.  I hope they are able to add more selections on tap and have success as it is nice not having to drive 30/40 min (and gas $$)  to be able to enjoy a quality beer.

I was waiting on writing a review of Bier Academy until after I became a graduate. But after seeing the two 1 star reviews that have just recently appeared, I decided that it was my turn to give my opinion.

I have probably been to the Bier Academy a total of about ten times and every time I receive excellent service. All the owners and staff take great care of me and my friends.

The selection of beer that they have is great and unparalleled in the Santa Clarita Valley. They even have some selections that would be hard to find anywhere else around the Los Angeles area. Prices are fair. Yes it is true, you could get some of these beers cheaper at bevmo, but that is true of any bar that you go to! I would rather pay a little extra and recieve excellent service and relax in a comfortable atmosphere while I enjoy my beer.

The food here is very good as well. So far I have tried the sausage plate, gyro plate, hummus, and spicy feta dip. I have yet to be let down by anything that I have tried on the menu.

I just have to say thank you to the owners of the Bier Academy. Thank you for providing a place for all the beer nuts of SCV to go and enjoy a delicious brew.

Oh and....Marleigh R. You should probably actually visit an establishment before writing a review about it. T-bo's closed down by the way...quite awhile ago.

Just went there last night, and I fell in love with it.
All of a sudden, someone made the announcement: "Ladies and Gentleman, we have our second graduate of the Bier Academy!" And everyone started clapping. Weird, I know.
Then our server (who turned out to be the co-owner) told us of this program where they give you a sheet of paper listing all their beers. The goal is to try each one, and rate what you think of it. After you have finished it, they initial by that beer. Once every beer on the list is rated, you are a "graduate", and you get a t-shirt. Eh, that's cool I guess. But then whenever you bring this shirt...you get a discount off your beers. For life. I am in love.
The menu of food looked amazing too! Garlic fries and a big array of sausage?? Yes please!!! However, I didn't try any....yet.

I loved the idea of this place, and I will keep chipping away at my beer list, which they keep stored for you at the restaurant (so I don't have to worry about losing it!) Here's to one day being a graduate!!!!
