To be fair, I have only been to this place once. Â
Their full size tables are very over priced. Â They charge an hourly rate that is a lot higher than most places in Boulder or Denver. Â They do, however, have smaller, coin-operated tables that might satisfy any pool craving you may have.
Half of the venue transforms into a nightclub during the late night hours. Â The pool hall is divided into the shark-side and the 'poor music blasting from a not-so-great soundsystem with flashing lights' side. Â Yikes!
This place seems like it's trying to be something that it's not. Â If they wanted to be a dance club, they should have been a dance club.
Have nothing better to do on a friday night? This place could be what you need. Â The drinks aren't any more expensive than Old Chicago but there's tons more pool tables. Also, there's regular card tournaments as well as billiard competitions. For those of you that like to boogey down, the tables and chairs get put away after 10 and the lights get turned down to make way for the club like thumping. The billiard side stays set up and available for players but the area in the next room turns into a regular club. Â if i could give half stars, this place would get 2.5 only because the club music gets annoying after a while (to those of us just there to play pool).
