Oskar Blues Brewery

Holy moly! I may have to rethink my attitude on these bigger breweries.  I have always disliked Oskar Blues from afar for one reason or another, but the stop I made to the Tasty Weasel tasting room last weekend has changed my tune forever.  

The vibe was very hippie(my favorite) and each of the specialty beers I tried were amazing!  The place is big, but still has that small buddy feel.  They have a huge patio and giant industrial fan cooling the place off.  The bartenders were hella' friendly and we even purchased some Deviant Dale's fiery hot sauce.  Oh yeah!  

Don't let the massive amounts of advertising and promotion fool you into thinking these guys are the man just holding us down.  I think the place is great and highly recommend anyone in the area to hit them up.  Cheers!

Worst, most bland caesar salad I've had in my entire life (no exaggeration). The dressing had no flavor whatsoever; it might as well have been mayonnaise. My mother and I both ordered it and we both thought it was simply awful. The chicken tasted like it was brined in salt for 3 months and was simply inedible. That was all we had, so I can't comment on the rest of the food, but based on that experience I won't return. The beer they brew themselves is, in my opinion, the worst in the state. The alcohol content is very high and does not blend into the beverage well at all. Leaves a nasty aftertaste, feels like you're drinking turpentine. There's a reason you never hear of Oscar Blues winning any awards for their beer.

One of our favorite hang out spots.  The firkin batches are firkin awesome.  Staff is great and give impromptu tours.
