Delighted with this club - the staff inside were very friendly - I saw the Blasters and Rev. Horton Heat here - and the visibility was great - small club with accomodating staff was a plus. Pricing extremely fair - also close to the wonderful Amici's Pizza, the Spaghetti Factory and many other eateries just a few doors up, the De Anza Hotel for the overnight stays necessary for some concert goers, and great sound system for a most enjoyable musical experience. Parking garages a block away - reasonably priced. Drinks also very reasonable and decent sizes - service immediate and attentive servers. I will choose the Blank Club over closer venues as it's worth the drive to see an act in an intimate setting. Thrilled to see some of my favorite performers of all time in such a user friendly spot! Thanks, Blank Club for the memorable evenings!! We are lucky to have you ~
Review Source:Hell. Â Fricken. Â Yes.
This, my friends... this is what I've been looking for. Â A no-bullshit, no-pretense, no-frills spot to drink cheap beer and watch intimate music shows. Â Is that so much to ask for? Â Clearly not, because The Blank Club hits the nail on the head! Â This just became my new favorite spot in San Jo.
They show up-and-coming indie bands, have an "Atomic Thursdays" with and 80's DJ, and have a goth night 1 Saturday of the month.
Looking forward to the Burlesque show on the 31st! Â Who's joining me?
Came here with my fiance, and two friends for the 70's, 80's, 90's and other naughty hites New Years Eve party!
SUPER AWESOME!
We had a great time. We did arrive at 9PM and were the first few people there which was fine. There was New Years Eve decorations and hats/tiaras to put on. The dance floor was really roomy and they even let people dance on the stage. It ended up getting really crowded and turned into a great party.
Not light on the drinks. I say perfect. I've ran into too many places which ends up being more watery than alcohol. $5 vodka sours.
The women's restroom was alrrrriiiight. It won me over because there were really funny messages on the bathroom stales "Jesus Loves You. Believe it or not you skank."
We had an amazing time. Great crowd. Great staff.
I had to lanesplit pretty much the entire distance from San Rafael to San Jose in the rain, so by the time I got into town I was in a foul mood. But The Blank Club helped restore my spirits and then The Supersuckers revived my soul.
What a fantastic little club. The sound setup is impressive as hell. Kudos to whomever put that together. In any rock venue, there's a sweet spot where things sound the best. The sound here defies that in essentially making the entire room the sweet spot. You walk around the whole place and the sound is about the same and it's all good. The sound guy is great.
The bartenders were helpful and friendly. The place is well run and clean. I'm in love with this little club. I hope the locals appreciate what a treasure this place is.
No matter how miserable the ride, I'd be willing to make the trip to San Jose any time there's a band I want to see playing at The Blank Club.
I saw Dick Dale last night (which was AMAZING but not the point of this review). Â The sound was astonishingly good, and it wasn't just because they had someone great at the soundboard. Â There's something about the space & the way it's used that the acoustics just work well. Â That and there probably was someone amazing at the soundboard. Â
There was sort of a dance floor with a nice disco ball, but the place was packed to the gills and there was no dancing to be had during this concert.
We were able to get close to the stage which is about a 1 foot riser. Â I was near the front, so I can't say what the experience is like from the back.
We got drinks when we first arrived. Â I just had a soda since I was driving and I got hubby a double glen livet. Â $18 for two drinks. Â I think they charged me for the soda....but oh well. Â There was a LOT of ice and not that much soda, so I sucked on the ice the rest of the evening. Â The bartender was really nice, verified the drinks, and said "You're going to hate me when I tell you how much it is." Â Well, no, that's about right for single malt scotch. Â Actually, I've probably paid that much for a single. Â I think she poured a little more than a double.
The bathrooms were clean...I mean we're not talking Nordstroms but they were clean, well stocked, everything flushed properly, and there was a nice sink. Â There was a lot of graffiti on the stalls...I haven't seen anything like that since...well, high school, really. Â So I was bemused.
It would have been nice for some kind of coat check or bag check. Â There were a lot of women with large purses & coats and it was a bit awkward.
So, Lara, where did you park? Â Well, we didn't want to chance that all the free spots would be taken since metered parking around the venue is free after 6pm. Â I used to work downtown, and I said "let's just park in the San Pedro structure." Â It was a short walk (about 3 blocks), and (drum roll) only cost $5. Â Yes, that's correct. Â $5. Â Sweetness! Â
I'd have no issues going back. Â It's inexpensive and close to home.
I had the pleasure of seeing Jonny Manak and the Depressives, The Phenomenauts, and the Rezillos on Friday November 16th at the Blank Club. This is a delightful venue with good beers, a pleasant ambiance and a near perfect volume. It was loud enough that one could follow that band, but not so loud that one needed ear plugs to prevent tinnitus. The stage was well lit and the crowd enjoyed the show without smashing into one another. I recommend this venue highly.
Review Source:I went to the Blank Club for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend after reading great reviews about it. My first impressions: It was way too dark and smelled funky in there. But alright, moving on... the atmosphere was cool, nice young people there. We had to wait for more than one hour for the first band to begin but that might be our fault for being early birds. Beer was $3, which is pretty decent. Then I asked a female bartender to make me a drink... I just asked for a suggestion and she says: I can't suggest anything BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW YOU - in a rude tone. WTF? I always ask for suggestions because sometimes people don't know how to make what I want or I'm overwhelmed by all the choices, and bartenders have always been happy to make me a surprise drink. I also told her "I like anything, don't worry", and she still refused to make me a drink. I ended up just asking for a vodka cranberry that cost $5 (good price) but tasted like cranberry juice and didn't do me anything.
The bands were really good and I liked the atmosphere, I might go back, but Blank Club should be aware that their workers are the face of the business, and in my opinion, it just looked pretty bad.
When Im home alone or with a few friends, I usually turn on loud 80s music and dance my heart out to it as if nobody is watching.I cannot find a club that plays 80s music. alternative rock and indie rock, most clubs nowaday plays songs that I hate or not listen to, well thank goodness for the blank....They play cool music, and theres 80s night every thursday, and you dont have to dress up to go here nor does anyone care about your dance move, theres this small asian guy there who rocks out to the music on stage by himself , so fricken awesome.
Review Source:The Blank Club is a solid venue in downtown San Jose! It's definitely a gem amongst the other clubs, bars, lounges. Very unique in it's own right.
If you love:
- great 80's music
- live, local musical artists
- cheap PBR
CHECK OUT THE BLANK CLUB!
Their Atomic Dance Party night is by far the greatest event of the week. Get on the guestlist, get their early for free entry, or pick up the ADP pass they usually give out for a good time.
Welp, I just needed to get out of the freakin house to escape from... well... Life! I posted up a little status on FB asking if anyone wanted to join me at The Blank Club tonight. I got a couple replies saying yes. It's been a while since Ive been here. Not a regular or anything but its a really cool spot that I like to go to when I actually do go out.
That being said... get on the Atomic Dance Party FB page and sign up for the guest list. Free and open till 11pm. Also $1 PBR's till 11pm. After that $3. Not bad. Regular cover is only $5 if you get there after 10pm or after 11pm with guest list.
So, I get there at 10:59pm after driving around trying to find a somewhat safe parking spot. The club is right next to the Greyhound station so, there's all kinds of riff-raff hanging around. I walk in and its freaking dead... OMG, what happened to this place? Turns out I was just Mr. Roper trying to get the early bird special. As I sat waiting for my friends at the bar I noticed that slowly things started to pick up. By Midnight, this place was packed and jumping... Really good 80's new wave mixed in some current stuff too.
The female-male ratio is really good here too. Pretty even considering this is Man Jose, CA where every girl is outnumbered 3-to-1 by drooling wolves wanting to give you a ride in his Subaru or BMW where he strategically leaves his eBay work ID. But, overall... great music, great atmosphere, great people for the most part, cheap drinks, but it could use some AC. Its hot as hell in there.
Ive also been here to see a few live bands... Circa Survive and Girl in a Coma just to name few off the top. Great sound system and very intimate setting. I wish they would book more live music here.
Probably my favorite club in San Jose. Â Very unique, a local gem. Â The vibe is great, everyone's cool and are there just to have a good time. Â It's a rock club. Â Some nights goth rock. Some nights 80s. Some nights new wave, indies, electro. Â
Drinks are cheap ( 1 dollar pabst night!) and strong, well, not watered down. Â At most the cover charge is ten bucks on certain days during certain hours. Â The place is great, it's like dancing in a garage or small warehouse. Â Theres a mini stage where live bands play on some nights, otherwise people are free to come up and dance if they have the courage( or had enough to drink)
My favorite days are Thursdays for Atomic which plays 80s and new wave. Â I also love adult dance party night on certain Saturday's which plays indie, electro, new wave. Â Atomic night and adult dance party are with DJ Basura. He rocks.
I always have a good time when I'm at the Blank Club.
I really like The Blank Club, and that says a lot since I don't care much for the bar scene. I go on Atomic Thursdays, where it's mostly music from the 80's and 90's and  the dancefloor is where it's at. They're a little heavy on the smoke machine, but that's mostly cause the place is pretty small so ventilation is bad. If there's a cover at all, it's usually around $5. Drinks are cheap and they're pretty strong.
Ladies, don't be worried. There's a few regular creeps, but it's about as bad as anywhere else and they're pretty harmless. I still go often.
I came down to catch The Like Me's perform here. It was my first time at The Blank Club. The first thing i noticed was how great the sound system was! It's amazing! The bartenders were really nice. I don't remember who the lady bartender was but she was a sweet heart to me :).
The drinks were decently priced to my surprise. $5 for vodka tonic...not bad at all. I jumped straight to the poison with a shot of Jameson. Sipping on it and a heineken to accommodate me in the mean time, it did the deed and very well at it too! I can't complain since I had a beautiful woman to conversate with about random topics like Cambodia's provinces.
Overall, I'm definitely coming back to this spot. Parking was hard to find but I dont mind valet. After shows you can walk yourself along Post street to Splash or other spots open to take people in.
One of the few intimate music venues left in San Jose, Blank has long been one of the go-to spots for seeing bands [of all sorts!].
The place itself is a small and dark, laid out in a straight-forward and utilitarian way - entrance, bar to the left, stage to the right. No flash, no undue flair, no pretense. Music, up close & personal. Drinks, served fast and affordable. BOOM.
That newly-signed group on the verge of breaking into stardom because they're on a movie soundtrack now? They headlined here. That local girl on the come-up with the silky soulful voice backed by a five-piece band and a DJ? She's played here and probably will again. Your friend's cousin's ex-girlfriend's classmates brother's mom's other son is in a Duran Duran X Snoop Dogg tribute ska band? They'll be here next week.
Keep your ear to the ground, the good stuff isn't always in plain view.
____________________________________________
Okay, they might not feature *every* genre of music *cough*no hip-hop?*ahem*, but broaden your horizon...
The space itself is pretty unremarkable and the acoustics could be better, but I'm giving this club a favorable rating for two reasons:
thanks to them I got to see the amazing Gavin Castleton and the incomparable Lex Land here a short while back; and
perhaps because this venue is slightly removed from the downtown hubbub of Santa Clara St., the vibe is way more laid-back and feel-good than you would expect for the area. It doesn't have the meatmarkety, people-watchy, or frattastic feel of many of the nearby clubs and is definitely more my speed, especially when all I want to do is catch one of my favorite artists live.
Tip: Stand closer to the stage. The club space is basically a small rectangular box and towards the back the sound gets really blurred. Even as a Gavin fanboy who has most of his lyrics memorized I found it super-hard to make out what he was singing whenever I moved away from the stage. As for drinks, I didn't partake, but my friends said that they were satisfyingly strong though unremarkable otherwise. Cover was $7 on my night, which was a great deal for someone like me who showed up to see one of his favorite acts live.
She Wants Revenge 3/27/11
"The lights that move sideways and up and down
The beat takes you over and spins you round
Our hearts steady-beating, the sweat turns to cold
We're slaves to the DJ and out of control"
My first time at The Blank Club and I've gotta say I'm impressed. Nothing like seeing bands that I love in little hole in the wall joints like this. The drinks were strong, the sound system was crystal clear and the vibe was excellent! We even had time to make some new friends before She Wants Revenge hit the stage.
Come here for live music. I don't know about regular DJ nights; I may be a lover but I ain't no dancer...
Went and saw Passion Pit here a couple years back, no problems, really great venue.
I was planning on seeing the Limousines tonight. Their website said that tickets would be available at the door for $12, and that pre-sale online tickets would be $10. The online site had sold out, which of course, probably meant that there would be tickets at the door (usually the case cause there's no way they wouldn't want to sell tickets at the door, and why would they sell all the tickets online?). My friend Cheo and I show up an hour and a half early to line up (we were the only ones there at the time), only to be greeted by a security guard, walking up and being quite rude about tickets being sold out. We thought nothing of it, and continued waiting.
More people showed up and were hoping to get tickets at the door (the other people waiting also told my friend Cheo and I that they read the online posting saying that tickets would be available at the door as well). We wait in line, and the same security guard comes up, totally rude, and tells everyone there aren't any tickets available. Again, we all thought nothing of it, until the doors open and they start letting people in. They announce that no tickets are available at the door. Now, why would you have postings on your website saying that tickets would be available at the door?
It does not make ANY sense that you'd put up ALL tickets for a show up for sale on a website. It rained tonight, do you really think all the people the got pre-sale tickets would show up??? I just think it's really ridiculous that these guys don't keep track of tickets for any shows. They don't even answer their phone when you try to call about a show. I'd rather drive over to San Francisco for a show at the Mezzanine for something instead of hitting up the Blank Club.
At least the Mezzanine answers their phone for any questions that you might have, and at least they sell tickets at the door for anyone that has last minute plans to catch a show.
Blank Club, you disappoint me. I thought you were better than this. If you guys ever have a big name artist doing a show, make sure you have tickets at the door, not just on the website. I'm not the only one you pissed off tonight.
I used to think I needed to go up to SF anytime I wanted to hear music I like. You know, a club where I didn't have to hear  "Fly Like a G6" three times in one sitting. Well, my sanity has literally been saved by San Jose institution The Blank Club.
Nowhere else can I get my music fix like I do here, be it their 80s & electro night, "Atomic" or their goth night "Satori". Â The very fact that they're catering to a non-Top 40 crowd in San Jose is worthy of 4 stars.
What makes this a 5-star place is easy: cheap, stiff drinks, a very laid back atmosphere (you can show up dressed in your best goth chic or shirt & jeans and fit right in), friendly staff and awesome decor (the booths lining the club floor is a nice touch).
So, if you'd pick Depeche Mode and Wolfsheim over 50 Cent and Rihanna any day of the week, you'll likely find your Mecca at the Blank Club.
The sound here is murderous; it may be too much for such a small venue. Â I dig the small booths that line the dance floor, as they are comfy and great for meeting strangers.
The bathrooms were fairly clean and there's enough script in the stalls to entertain you while you take care of business.
Most importantly, good eats are within walking distance.
I love to come here on Thursdays for 80s nights. I haven't dropped by on any other night, so I can't really compare... but Thursdays are fun!
It's really a chill place -- no need to dress up, but you won't look out of place if you want to. It's a small place, but I never feel suffocated. The only thing is its kind of dingy -- the floor is sticky, so it kind of brings me back to the days of highschool dances. haha.
I can't really comment on the crowd because with the smoke/dark atmosphere its hard to really say. Most people just want to dance. . . and that's what I come here for. I haven't had any problems with anyone.
We usually stop by here after going to another bar, so I can't really comment on the drinks either (too drunk to remember -__-). I remember them being pretty strong though... although not the best prices.
I've definitely come to love this place :)
Just saw the BUZZCOCKS at The Blank Club & have to say it was a surprising night overall
This venue is super teeny tiny w/ 1 room, no upstairs & as you enter, you're practically right at the stage....& for this sold-out crowd, we were sardines.... & I'm thinking oh jeez, what have I got us into?
But the crowd was extremely cool & friendly - for instance, this girl pulled Sis up to the bar so she could get drinkys; we had scoped out an area along the side & people happily made room.....the list goes on
When the mosh pit started up, the bouncers created a barrier if you will to ensure things didn't get too, too out of hand. Â Props for crowd control!
Then if you thought chivalry was dead, out comes this totally random guy who put himself between the mosh & us 3 ladies & "protected" us from oncoming slams.....after the show he walked away so we grabbed him to thank him & he was all shy about it.....YOU ROCKED!!
Speaking of rocking - the band was all kinds of awesome & proved that you can still be punk at any age. Â Given the fact they didn't come on stage until midnight & we had been standing there for 1 hr since the opening act had ended, I was cranky & potential for enjoyment was doomed......that is, until they started playing.
Sound system was good & crisp & loud & we had a most enjoyable night around fun, happy, people, cool boppy music & feeling a bit rebellious w/ our inner punk selves, all at the same time
First Impressions: I really like the Blank. Â It is a club, venue or fashion runway all in one. Â The Blank is like a chameleon, it is different than all the clubs in San Jose. Â However, The Cellar tries to be it in a younger, fresher, more energetic way.
Decor: Â No dress code. Â Really dark and black with a stage and disco ball. Â It looks like a prom dance in a horror film. Â I LOVE IT. Â I am just sick of florescent lights, douche bags and half naked women.
Service: Â The owner is usually one and another one, but the drinks are fairly priced. Â It is usually not super crowded there so there is breathing room in the club and bar. Â
Music: Â Alternative, Electro, & Indie
Specialty: Â Live bands, events, and not the average top 40 clubbin' music.
Price: $5-7/drink
Recommendations: Â Definitely a chill place, there is a mix of personalities here. Â I am pretty sure you can't find two people looking similar even if you have your beer goggles on. Â I would definitely go here to escape San Jose clubbin' scene reality.
Ahhh, 80's night! I feel like a toddler again! Wait! Dammit -- I keep thinking I'm younger -- OK, I feel like I'm in high school again.
What's not to love than dancing like a fool & meeting people who know all the words to the songs right there with you! I felt like I met 20 new best friends when I went on Thursday.
I feel like I need to break out my old goth gear just for Thursday nights.
I've walked by this place on many a drunken night - looking at its patrons trying to guess what type of establishment it is. Â The people stumbling outside for a smoke seem to be having a great time - and I always made a mental note to try this place out. Â Other than hosting live music - The only reference I hear my friends make about this place is their 80's night. I guess this place is also a nightclub type of spot some nights, Â but I have no idea about that. I'm not rating that, I'm rating this place as a concert venue, because I went here to see a band that I'm in love with.
I walked into the place and initially thought, "Wow.. this place is tiny - Â I might as well be up on stage with the band." Â There wasn't much room on the stage, and I was wondering if they even needed a microphone or an amp in order to hear the music, but when the show started it all seemed to mesh, and work well. Â
The bar is pretty big (actually bigger than the stage), not much elbow fighting necessary to get a drink here because the bar literally is about 1/4th of the establishment. Â Works for me. Â You might have some problems navigating the tiny space because they like to have the lighting in there kind of dark - Hey, again, works for me. It All adds to the flavor of the this place - a really intimate venue. Â When the groups started playing the sound wasn't an issue - It was loud, but not ridiculous. And the mic wasn't cloudy at all - everything they said sounded crystal clear.
In-between groups I walked outside for a smoke, and noticed that they only had 1 guy working the door. Â Made me feel good that this place doesn't see the type of crowds that need more that 1 person. I took a second look at the tattooed mammoth at the door and just figured, "Yeaa... no ones probably going to F*** with that guy, it looks like he can move some weight around". Â The staff was really chill too - from the bartender to the behemoth all cool people.
There wasn't much of a crowd to see Vivian Darkbloom and Company of Thieves, but that added to the feel. Â It was a Tuesday night and It felt like it was my private concert in there. Topped off by the fact that the band was drinking it up at the bar, and smoking outside the club and didn't mind chatting it up with supporters. Â And after the show they chilled a bit too.
Great place to see live music!
Definitely a must if anyone I want to see does a show there.
.and i guess i owe it to the place to check out this 80's night everyone is talking about (if they still have it).
Cool dive bar feel meets music venue.
Looks like this place gets 4 stars average & that seems about right to me.
(Funny it's classified under "Dance Club" even though the punk/rockabilly band I was in & I played a show here a few months ago... but I guess it's cause they have 80s nights & such).
Small place.... Friendly staff & bartenders... Good stage sound... Neat looking interior ... No real complaints here whatsoever!
(Though overall this place's vibe isn't my exact preference of bar/venue).
Would like to return the next time in San Jose for another rock show.
Check it out.
This is not a review of their '80s nights. I hate trashy, vapid sounds of '80s pop music; it's possibly the shittiest era in music history. Wouldn't be fair to review something I hated to begin with.
I couldn't believe The Melvins played at the Blank Club. Was San Jose their stop because they were desperate for cash? Fifteen dollars cover and no opening band. The place was rightfully packed and people were already piss drunk at 10:30 p.m. It might just be The Melvins crowd but it was as if all the fat, hairy, sweaty, smelly, super-sized men in San Jose congregated to be assholes that night. They had no regard for anyone in the crowd, pushing people out of the way with their swampy bodies to get to the front. No utters of apology. Good thing the floor was so filthy and sticky, our feet were glued to the ground. There was no way to fall. Who knew grime could save lives?
The sound guy should have been dragged out and shot during the first set. The Melvins, most likely not giving a shit about the venue or the ugly crowd, reflected their attitude via their playing. I was tempted to leave during the short break. However, the second set made up for the night. The Melvins ruled. It was pretty fuckin' amazing.
The Melvins were amazing, not The Blank Club. I'd rather drive farther  to SF for shows than to deal with inconsiderate assholes with B.O.
Two stars for hosting a Melvins show in San Jose.
This place is scenester central. Everyone here is desperately trying to be different, but ultimately, all look the same.
Anyway, I give this place an extra because they are supporters of live rock music, their DJs play new wave '80s music that no one* really cares about, but it's cool to listen to once a year, and the booze is reasonably priced.
*No one outside of scenesters. And I guess the bands that made the music and earned a living from it.
A song that perfectly describes this place:
"Bottles and pints, and shots and cans
Couches and floors, and drunk best friends
Models and whores, and tattooed hands
Cities and secrets and cats and vans
Good times, laughter, bad decisions
Strippers and actors, and average musicians
Mornings after and walks of shame
The bartender knows me by my real name"
I like this place because it's the opposite of pretty much every downtown dwelling--with the exception of the Caravan and Cinebar. It's soooooooooo anti "I'm a Rockstar" and I love that.
The guys here look like they haven't showered in a week. But sometimes I think showering really is overrated.
Thursdays has a great 80s night and there's a really cool VIP area upstairs.....
Come to think of it I'm not sure why I don't hang out here more often...
Dark little hole in the wall bar/music place. Â The drinks are okay, no idea how much they cost.
Nothing fancy, by far, but it's a cheap cover and it's got music. Â I wish the music were a little better, but it's the best I've found so far.
I like the crowd here. Â This is NOT the place where people come to hit on others and bump and grind getting dirty on the dance floor. Â It tends to be more of a goth scene where you don't have to dress up. Â Everyone's respectful of people's personal space. Â My friend was exhausted when we came, and people showed concern wanting to make sure she was okay. Â I LIKE the fact I can come here to dance without worrying about some toad trying to kiss me. Â It's not pretentious, it's a place to dance, which is exactly what I want.
There could be more booth seating, if there was more room. Â 80's night was okay, they threw in some modern stuff which I liked, and feel free to dance on the stage. Â Security is around, and appear to have fun too, not just dampering anyone's experience by their mere grimacing presence like you get at some places.
Oh, and you can get a cup of water, rather than having to buy the bottles.
If they ramped up the music a bit more, I'd definitely be here more often.
Pros:
1. Rock music; they actually play it here. It isn't just a mythical beast or the product of your MP3 collection from five years ago.
2. Concerts; they have those also, with real live bands that you know and love, and still listen to.
3. Parking: very easy on account of Con #1.
4. Drinks: strong - everyone gets to be a cheap date here.
Cons:
1. Location: around the corner from nowhere.
2. Interior: Dark and dingy in here. Others have commented on how this is a positive especially if you dance like Elaine from Seinfeld, but I actually like to see other people and not feel like I'm in one of Saddam's rape rooms when I go out on the town.
3. Drinks are more expensive than they need to be, but thats okay because of Pro #4.
Go check it out. Especially on a thursday night. Leave your coat in the car - you'll warm up real quick between the stiff drinks and the unbearable heat inside.
I have some very lovely friends in the South Bay, so when I go to see them, we end up here. The crowd is odd, not pretentious, not attractive, just odd. I don't mind though because the music is great, especially when Basura is on the decks!
Go on Thursdays for your 80's, Indie, Electro fix & watch out for nights like Victim or bands you might want to see. If you must go out in San Jose, this is the only acceptable place to do so!
I only went here because a band I liked was playing. Â I'm not sure if I'll ever go again.
It was so dark in the there that I could barely see the person standing a few inches away from me.  Thank goodness some more lights were turned on later because it was getting annoying.  Then, right  before the first group was about to play, some girl threw up in front of the stage where I was standing and it smelled disgusting.  That drunk already?!  It was barely 10 PM - I think the bar wasn't even open for an hour yet!
Nothing bad happened for another hour, but then some drunk guys started fighting near me (for the second time!) Â It took the security guys like a minute until they went into the crowd and stopped them. Â Security should have thrown them out immediately.
Perhaps this was just a bad night and maybe I'll give this club another chance.
