It was a dinner with the girls kinda night, and it was definitely more for catching up. Â We were greeted with an adorable bowed tied server, that went over a couple things that were on/not on the menu. Â The location itself is a very quaint. Â The atmosphere was just right for us girls talk among our table and not needing to scream over the live music. Â I had the mushroom risotto that came a bit undercooked(-1 star), but even though I was a bit hungry, I nibbled on some of the cheeses and crackers. Â Our server did take the risotto off the check after everything that was cleared (+1 star). Â Overall I thought it was a charming wine bar experience. Â
The wine list has some pretty good selections, but it wouldn't hurt for them to spruce up the menu. Â I might be a small girl but I left on the lighter side after one bottle of wine, two appetizer plates, and partial entree that I picked at. Â I will must likely come back, but probably eat elsewhere before hand.

My girlfriend and I had to come check this place out after walking by here so many times.
To sum up this new establishment that is a few steps away from SJSU:
Pros:
-A vast selection of wines from local and global wineries.
-Excellent wait and bar service (Rene was our wonderful and delightful server).
-Great cheese and appetizer selections to food pair with your choice of wine.
-Decor is surrounded by creative lighting fixtures, and wall fireplace is a sight to behold.
-Live entertainment on certain days of the week (Great place for a date night).
Cons:
-Hard to find parking during rush hours or during the weekend.
-$30-40 bucks per person basically in a college populated area.
-I don't like to pay for 3 oz and 6 oz wine glasses. The 3 oz is only one to two swigs for about $8-10 bucks.
Definetly worth another try though!
I adore this wine bar! It is right by the SJSU campus, and their happy hour is a FANTASTIC deal. The owners are so nice and welcoming, as are the bartenders (wine servers? not sure of title). They always remember me! I love their House Sparkling White wine. It's a great place to meet with friends, and it's very classy. I come here alone sometimes to study with a glass of wine and one of their delicious appetizers. I highly recommend this place!!!
