The Blue Moon

I've been coming to Blue Moon since I was a little kid and every year when we visit family in Indiana I look forward to a delicious shake or fried food (the butterscotch shake and mozzarella sticks are my favorite). The girls who work there are always speedy and everything is always delicious.

Think of your most precious memories from childhood...

Long summer days, chlorine saturated play and long summer nights catching lightning bugs, playing out in the park, staying out past dark. Not a worry in the world.

One trip to the Blue Moon conjures up all of that for me.

I know. It's a simple drive up shack on a rural route road in a sleepy one horse town. I know. It's just a frosty cone. Maybe it's dipped, maybe even a swirl, maybe today's special flavor.

But to me it's golden.
