Ever since I was a kid, this place has always held a special place in my heart. Now, it probably holds two special places in my heart: fond memories and the cholesterol. :p
In my youth, this was the place to take a break from the rigorous workout at the Auburn Pool. We'd trot up the big hill to get a slushie or an ice cream cone with a candy cherry on top. Either order would bring an instant brain freeze because we'd be too worried about our frozen refreshments melting in the hot Auburn summer.
The corndogs and french fries were always yummy (and definitely not good for me) back in those days. The same is true today. I don't think they've changed their menu in years.
Ever time I visit Indiana, I make it a point to eat here. You should too if you were a pool rat like myself and want to drum up those sweet memories of summer.
