I have been to Bdubs in Ft. Wayne and in Auburn. Â The food has always been good, but the service a little slow. Â HOWEVER, yesterday, I had a surprise birthday party there for my son and 21 of his friends (yikes!). Â I called ahead and to let them know that I would have a large group and would be ordering about 150 wings and fries and stuff. Â Although they cannot reserve tables, as soon as we got there (about 1/2 hour before it was to start) they had pushed tables together for my party, and had the food out quickly. Â Every server was helping us as well as their regular tables. Â They were very helpful and nice and it was unexpected how smoothly this went. Â Thank you, Bdubs for great food and great speedy service.
Review Source:Generally, I'm a big BDubs fan. Â Been to several from West Lafayette, Indiana to the new one in Torrance, California. This one in Auburn is on the small side, which means it could get awfully crowded awfully fast during game time. We were there on a Saturday night in August, so not too much happening sports-wise. We were seated right away inside. Got spoiled in CA by going into smoke-free bars. If you're not a fan of noxious fumes, then you may be best off with take-out. The bar isn't that far away from the rest of the seating and the smoke can get heavy. Staff was friendly. Service, I thought was 4 stars. Had gotten hooked on the Asian Zing wings in CA, but the ones here were waaaay hotter. Didn't like them. Not sure if it was just a fluke or something specific to this location. Â Not many people playing trivia here. Guess it's more popular with the undergraduate crowds.
