Bob's Sports Bar

Although I frequent this bar, I still will give it two stars. Here is why:

First, thank you Chelsea A for pointing out that a $20 minimum purchase is illegal. I was unaware of this and did a little research after reading your review.
I always found the 20 dollar minimum a little bit ridiculous. I am not a cash-carrying person and my bank does not even operate a single ATM on the island, so this is a bit problematic unless I am planning on getting completely obliterated at Bob's.
Not only am I not a cash-carrier, I do not enjoy leaving my bar tab open. Human error exists and I do not want human error to lose my card when, once again, my bank does not exist in Hawaii. I also do not want to be forced to purchase 4+ beverages every time I am a bit thirsty. A $10 minimum is reasonable and legal. I would probably share a lot more of my money with you if you intoxicated me slowly.

The bathroom is pretty gross most of the time. The back of the toilet is fashioned together with a lot of duct tape which is an interesting fix and there is only one stall. I understand the place is small, but when I am required to drink $20 worth of beverage at a time, the use of said stall is a little more urgent than most of my bar experiences.

The ambiance: So the scene here is usually pretty awesome. Most nights the dance floor is packed which is AMAZING and CRAZY! There also have been a few nights when there is not a single person on the dance floor. Except for me of course!! :-)

The staff is fairly nice and the bouncers seem like they are more than capable of breaking up a fight which makes me feel safe. Yay ending with positives! See you soon, Bob's.

Terrible service and atmosphere. When I tried to talk to the manager they treated me poorly as well.

The booze selection is minimal. I guess I'm used to SF bars - but for general libations there are the basics on the liquor shelf. .

BUT compared to other bars in the area there is no knocking the fun factor! There were plenty of guys there looking to chat it up and dance with a group of girls. We figured they were military boys...we weren't complaining.

Fun times and fun music coming from the jukebox. Hilarity ensued.
