We Loved this place! The location was clean, service was good.
I got hooked on Bojangles when I lived in NC and when I moved back to VA no other place came close, so every time I pass one I must stop and get my fix! Their biscuits, chicken and seasoned fries are amazing! I wish they would build one in NOVA but so far the closest one to us is in Richmond.
When I left North Carolina last summer to come back to my home state of Maryland, I was heartbroken. I was going to miss Bojangles.
BUT! The Bojangles website told me that there was a location in Maryland. In fact, it was only a short drive away from my school!
TALLY-HO, on a Bo' quest we must go. I rallied my boyfriend to go with me, since he used to work in North Carolina himself. (I also managed to get a few of my friends to go, but they went on a separate trip.)
This Bojangles is... less hospitable. When we arrived there around dinner-time, it was fairly empty. The case was empty. The area was slightly sketchy. I detected very little of that Southern hospitality that I received back in North Carolina.
They didn't have the food ready out in the front. So our cashier went to the back to retrieve our orders. The food wasn't the freshest, but it was still SO GOOD.
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THAT SWEET TEA. Mmmmm that was so delicious.
I also finally got to try that Boberry biscuit, and it was quite tasty.
Nothing beats Bojangles' chicken and biscuits with some mashed potatoes and gravy and a bit of cole slaw to make you feel better about your meal. Top it off with that Boberry biscuit and wash it down with the sweet tea...
... you almost forget about the sort of shady characters who are sharing a meal with you in the establishment.
