Disappointed... Â very Disappointed. Â I've taken clients and family to this restaurant on several occasions over the past couple of years. Â So I'm trying to give this place a fair shake. Â Each time I visit I experience the same problems. Â Number one is SLOW SERVICE!!! Â I've even sat at the bar and waited 5- 10 minutes for a beer. Â And the place was not crowded!!! Â
Recently took my wife and son there and the BBC failed me again. Â I ordered their Gin and Tonic special. Â It took over 15 minutes for it to arrive at my table and you could barely taste the Gin. Â I returned it for a coke. Â The place was about half full and mostly people sitting at tables. Â The Bar was probably 25% occupied. Â So not busy and it took them over 15 minutes to mix two Gin and Tonic's incorrectly. Â So I watched the bar staff from where I sat. Â They mostly talked, washed glasses and placed food orders. Â There was no emphasis on the customers sitting at the bar!!! Â
The wait staff is slow, confused and could care less. Â We did ask to speak to the manager and he was useless. Â He took the appetizer off the bill to which I told him he didn't need to do that. Â I liked the appetizer and don't mind paying for good food. Â I actually liked the salad that I ordered. Â It was the service and VERY SLOW bar. Â
Like I said, I've experienced this before. Â I really tried to give this place a chance... Â not any more!
Went there again recently on an earlier weekend night. The better place to sit with families is the area right behind the hostess stand where there are more tables with chairs (vs. booths that are difficult for those who need highchairs). Wanted to note they have a decent gluten-free menu and a kid's menu. The pot roast dinner was so-so, sheperd's pie was a little better.
Review Source:3rd visit, I wasn't overly impressed after my last experience, but I figured I'd give it another go. Â We arrived on a Monday evening at 7pm, it was a gorgeous evening so we wanted to sit out on the patio. Â We were told there was a 20 minute wait, which was no problem, except for the fact that 1/2 the tables were empty, but dirty. Â We waited, and were greeted by a sweet waitress who took out drink order immediately (they were out of bud light) she promptly asked to take our order, and I asked for a moment to look over the menu. Â She returned another 2 times within the next 5 minutes to take our order, and when we hadn't yet decided (she was clearly in a hurry to end her shift) she came over to transfer our bill to another server who would be right over with us. Â An HOUR later, and no server ever showed up, so I went inside to let the hostess know, no hostess was at the door, so I found the bartender and informed them. Â At this time, we just decided to just head elsewhere, I want to love this place for the atmosphere and beer selection, but no one ever seems to be in charge, much less care. Â Sorry, but 3 strikes and your out.
