Stopped here for gas today while in Mexia. Â We were actually looking for the Dairy Queen. Â :) Â (Very, very old Texan joke). Â
I was confused by the name and asked the cashier if Brookshire's is the same as Brookshire Brother's and she said no with an annoyed glance as if that was a too often presented question. Â She said no it's not. Â
Just like Brookshire Brother's this store has a gas station as well, as you can see by my photos, which looks exactly like a Brookshire Brother's Gas Station as well, yet they seem to have all gone away recently with Conoco in place instead. Â
Not sure what's going on here, but this is the 1st and only Brookshire's I have ever seen and have never heard of this chain before. Â Unless one of the Brookshire Brother's told the others that he' spinning off on his own? Â :) Â
Gas pumps worked well, prices were some of the best on the street.
went here once for a change of food variety and it was the first and last time that i will be going there, we had gotten some tv dinners cause thats whats easiest at work and there was mold and mildew and everything else inside the food, growing on it.. very nasty, and when i took it back up there they were "suprised" how much of the food on the shelves was already expired, and im not talking about a month im talking years ! no thanks i wont be back !
