Me and my church group came here for a bowling tournament. Â We had about 15 lanes that we bowled on. Â The lanes were good when I was bowling. I had problems with my shoes, so I rented bowling shoes and when I tried to bowl, I almost fell. Â I was not impressed with their shoes. Â The employees were friendly and quick. Â I had a great time bowling.
Review Source:GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. Â I love coming here, my family and friends love coming here. Â I never had any complications or problems at this establishment. Â I have always been able to get a lane. Â Cosmic bowling is a must if you haven't done so already. Â Of course you have to call and get your name in before hand but its like that with any bowling place. Â THE FOOD IS GREAT! Â The prices are definitely reasonable. Â I would recommend this place to anyone. Â All age friendly.
Review Source:I come to Brunswick about twice a year and I always have a blast! They have a smart card deal for bowling, but the guy there always sells me on the unlimited bowling thing.
Lanes are never really an issue, there's always 2 to 3 lanes available for us to use that are side by side.
The food here is okay... I think it's a little pricey for what you get. Personally, I think you're better off dining at a local restaurant before coming here.
Definitely not as much variety as Trevi in Elsinore, but surely safer!
Horrible staff!!! I went here during a somewhat slow Wednesday during the afternoon on my 21 st birthday . As I stood in line to order my first legal pitcher of beer I missed four frames with one person in from of me. When it was my turn the blonde at the counter told me " yea it's gunna be a minute" I waited. When she finally returned to take my order she mocked me waiting and I told her I missed half my game. She told me I should have had someone wait in line for me. Then 20 minutes later I had no beer. When I asked about it she told me she thought I didn't want it anymore. I went to tell the front desk what happened they said " I'm sorry we don't have a manager" !?!?? I will never come back here they ruined my first alcohol buying experience
Review Source:This bowling alley has a relaxed atmosphere, beer on tap, and reasonable prices. It's a fun place to go for a few hours with your friends or that special someone. My husband and I have been gong for many years, and we have many fond memories. They have a small arcade, which we sometimes use while waiting for our lanes or our buddies. It's no swanky joint, but it's a cheap option for a great evening.
Review Source:I consider myself to be an above average bowler.... Â ;) Â I met my husband during a bowling league where I was not only his team captain, but beat his azz on a regular basis. Â So, when we moved to Menifee last August, it was just a matter of time before we needed to find our neighborhood 'Cosmic Bowling' center for some late night (what I used to call, ROCK N BOWLING) family fun. Â As usual, since Cosmic Bowling is 12 midnight - 2am, I would LOVE to see the parking lot lit much better for safety reasons. Â ANY place that has teens gather that late at night needs to have not only GREATLY lit parking lots, they really need lot security!!! Â BOTH of which they do not have. Â Anyway, having said that, once inside, league play is usually ending up when you arrive for Cosmic Bowling and the teenie boppers are giving their dates/friends their 'kisses goodnight' while you're wishing they would leave so the ADULTS could get to PLAYIN'!! Â Plenty of different size bowling balls for EVERY bowler. Â Lane scoring units are staggered so that you don't need to be UBER friendly with the people on the next lane which is nice. Â They do have security in the house and I do understand they cannot discriminate due to age, but I swear the security guards are at LEAST 70!! Â Now I'm no spring chicken, but I CAN TAKE THESE GUYS!! Â Also, they sit on their butts watching people bowl when they should be supervising the multitudes of 'KIDS' that all just so happen to be turning 21!! Â Yes, I say that sarcastically, because EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE TAKEN MY FAMILY THERE FOR COSMIC BOWLING, WE'RE NEXT TO SOME STINKING DRUNK KIDS (Who to me are NOT 21...DO MORE THEN CHECK I.D.'S, SCAN THEM THROUGH A MACHINE!!!) and bowling like drunk idiots. Â Ball THROWING, practical sex acts on the lanes between KIDS and inappropriate language!! Â The staff is UBER nice & knowledgeable and will help you with whatever. Â The DJ will take requests (throw him a buck or two if you're requesting something special besides what's on his play list) and the lanes are fairly maintained. Â I would like to see better food served at the snack bar as well as pitchers of beer being served TO RESPONSIBLE ADULTS after the 11:30pm hour. Â I would also like to see the security guards get off their behinds and actually police the tools who are disrespecting the lanes, disrespecting other bowlers, usually families, and kick out the 'kids' that have OBVIOUSLY drank too much so that the rest of us can have a fun time without having to babysit drunk bowlers who may just take their revenge in the dimly lit parking lot!!!!
Review Source:I called the Cal Oaks Bowling Center last weekend, because I needed to put together a last minute bowling event for a family gathering. I spoke to Jackie, who was very helpful, told me I could reserve a group of lanes for a couple of hours, told me the per person charge and took a small deposit to reserve the lanes.
We had a group of about 25 people, of which 17 bowled including my 80 year old grandma. I was really pleased with the process, reserving the lanes made it totally easy and worthwhile to take everyone bowling and removed the hassel of waiting for a lane on a busy weekend.
As far as bowling alleys go, this was nice, in good condition, etc. Modern-ish computer equipment, pinsetters, and ball returns. Staff was friendly and pleasant, and I would totally have another function or event here based on this experience.
I remember when bowling was my life. Â I bowled in 4 different leagues during the winter and entered numerous tournaments, placing in most but not winning any of them. Â I loved bowling, but moving the SoCal took that love away from me.
For one thing, the leagues here aren't as competitive and the pay outs aren't as high as I'm used to. Â The league options at Brunswick are no different. Â I was hoping to find a high pot 4 or 5-man league but didn't see any to my liking.
The open bowling options are ok. Â Rent-a-lane specials and single per game specials abound. Â The lanes are synthetic so that means the shot will hold true depending on the oil pattern. Â But something tells me that this house doesn't utilize a sport shot...ever.
Great fun for the family but if you're league vet looking for a house with serious money-leagues look elsewhere. Â
Like New Jersey...
Checked online for this exact location and "$1 mondays, and now thursdays!, games, etc." Â came up...we drove over on a Thursday, waited 20 minutes for a lane, only to be flat out refused by the clerk. No talk from a supervisor or compromise. We were just told, "Corporate puts that stuff on the site, but we dont honor it." Horrible!
