I'd give it less if I could. Nice view, nice service but horrible portions and worse quality. U-peal shrimp: 11 each on a plate "the staff weighs each order for a half a pound" no way. Raw oysters were about to turn, fishy taste. Shrimp and bacon: 4 each. Way over cooked. It's not good.

Happy hour? Nope tiny over priced drinks. It's a tourist trap, don't fall for it a bubbas.

I wanted to like it, management 100% to blame.

Awful portions. Shrimp was like rubber. The bacon wrapped shrimp came with only 4 and was deep fried.  Drink specials didn't include drinks on there menu. when complaints were made to the waitress the manager told her there was nothing he could do and wouldn't come talk to us.

A fun place to visit.  Very casual - right on the water.  Food is very good, very different atmosphere  with live music on the weekends.  Lots of  neat merchandise to take home as a souvenir ranging from a great variety of T-Shirts (37 in all) to koozies, caps and straw hats,  signs and "Bubba's china".   If you are looking for a night out on the town, this is definitely a place to consider visiting.

We love this place.  For two years now, my family has been vacationing in nearby Surfside Beach.  We discovered Bubba's one day while exploring Murrell's Inlet.  We stopped immediately once I saw the fun colors and the sign out front.  Not only is the atmosphere seriously fun, the view is fantastic, the food is great and they have a nice selection of craft beers.  No draft beer, which is a bummer, but a good selection nonetheless, as well as some seasonal beers.  I should also mention that they serve their hushpuppies (I can only think to describe them as "double-fried", meaning that I think they bread them, fry them, cool them and then do it again) with this amazing raspberry honey butter spread.  The whole experience is downright sinful, but if you are on vacation, this is a good place to be!  I ordered the grouper sandwich with fries.  The grouper is amazing, even the little square bread it's served on is the bomb, although at $14.25, it's pricey.  Too pricey, I think.  But, again, vacation.  We'd probably go more than once during our vacation week, but I can't afford more than one $14 sandwich lunch.  The fish is served grilled and was done perfectly.  It was a small piece of fish.  Bubba's slogan is Love Served Daily.  It definitely tastes like it, what with the hushpuppies and that amazing grouper sandwich.  We didn't wait at all for a table (showed up about 12:30 on a Tuesday), and the wait to order and for our food was very reasonable.  Our service was fine, not overly attentive, but fine.  I will say, however, that when I asked another staff member (one who was sitting at the host station playing on her phone) for assistance with one of their T-shirts, I got a *look* and then a sigh, and finally movement toward the cabinet where the shirts are stored.  A few blank stares and unavailable size/shirt combinations later, I had my $18 souvenir and was out the door.  We'll definitely come back next year.  I hope the "side of love" they advertise will be more prominent in their staff at that time!

Fun decorations and beautiful view.  Had the shrimp and grits and it was amazing. It was my first time eating that so nothing to compare it to. Portion was huge, enough to have a full lunch the next day. Everyone else was pleased with their meals which included fried platter, brisket, and fish of the day. Service was great.

Doesn't get much better than a summer night on the coast of the Carolina's eating with friends at Bubba's Love Shack.  Shrimp and Grits are very good.
Marsh walk connecting all restaurants in Murrell's is a perfect setting to casually walk from bar to bar listening to all of the bands, watching the boats in the Marina and also people watching.

We visited Bubba's for happy hour before taking a stroll around the area. Their apps, even though half off their usuals, was mediocre. The conch fritters were a little tough, the bling bling shrimp though fresh, didn't have enough sauce-coverage. We wanted to order the crab dip since portion-wise, it seemed like the best bet. However, they'd run out so early in the afternoon and the ladies next to us (who'd put in their order way before us) never saw their apps until forty minutes later. We sipped on our drinks, enjoyed the funky decor, saw bubba himself stop in for some hydration, and perused their selection of t-shirts. All-in-all, it was a decent place to stop in for some drinks and nibble on their fried offerings without breaking the bank.

Food was great. We did have to wait for a while to get the food but there was easy access to the boardwalk that kept our small child entertained. Relaxed atmosphere, great music, and very casual. The shrimp and grits were amazing, the hushpuppies were the best by far, and the fried oysters were right up there with the best ever. I would reccomend this place to all of our friends. We will be going back!

This is a new restaurant on the pier in Murrell's Inlet, attached to a fancier restaurant. Bubba's Love Shak is decorated in "Spring Break" fashion, with plastic cups and random art and decor everywhere. Additionally, the lunch area we sat at was outdoors and surrounded by weak plastic-ish walls, which made sitting around pretty chilly.

While the surroundings weren't anything exciting, the food was pretty good. Many of us got either the Oyster or Shrimp Po' Boy, which was hot and fresh. I wish I had a few more shrimp in my sandwich, though the included cocktail sauce to go on top was a nice touch. Instead of bread, you get a bowl of hush puppies with honey butter, which were tasty, especially because we were so hungry!

The service was good and parking was not a problem. If you are on the pier in Murrell's Inlet during the summer, this place is worth checking out, though not a must-see. You can get fried shrimp and oysters anywhere. And if it's not warm, I'd move on.
