The Gator's under new ownership, so I can't really say how it's changed (regarding food/bands), but basically, I think they've kept everything the same except they have a comedy night that comes with/without a dinner, and I think that's on a Saturday night. Â So, it stand to reason, if you just want to hang out, listen to tunes, stare into your beer and have a little quiet, the nights they're running comedy may not be when you want to hit up this place.
Not sure how "comedy night" ties into its being a biker bar anymore, but???
I think they might have kept the same bar food, which was always good.
Style-wise of the interior and including the clientele (the regulars), however, I don't think much has changed.
It's an old, dumpy place, with not a lot of windows, a good hang for Friday happy hours. Â Saturday, however, are sort of boring there.
In the summer hours, it's a total shoe-in to come here and just sit out side, watch the bikes pull in. Â It's not that the view is gorgeous (a cement plant), but it's just laid back and relaxing here.
The BEST time to come here is during the motorcycle rally. Â The "RUBS" and yuppies haven't really caught on to this place, so you still might be able to see interesting and entertaining people and bikes.
Watch out though. Â Cops love to keep their eyes on people leaving the parking lot, so totally pick out a good DD before you leave.
