It's not the food, it's the service. Â Just awful. Â More than once we've been ignored for as much as 40 minutes trying to find our waitress among a group of other waitresses who we can hear flirting with whomever (line cooks or dishwashers I presume??), but we can't get to because they're I'm the back. Â Don't get mad at me for the bad tip. Â You spent it getting googly-eyed. Â
Better restaurants elsewhere - better chains even - so keep moving along.
Got seated right away. Waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink got a tall draft blue moon and a rajun Cajun margarita order out appitizers- southwestern stuff fried ravioli.  Got our drinks. And ordered our pizza individual size Tuscan pizza and Italian pizza.  Only sat for 7 minutes and our pizza arrived?  What no appitizers? Reply was oh it's coming but that is what an appitizer are they come before your meal we said forget it.  Started to eat our very good pizza oh what we can have fresh mozzarella on our pizza a little too late when we already ate 2 of our slices  margarita almost gone got a glass of water delivered- so must have a one drink limit?  Was never asked if we wanted another one. Manager stopped at our table and asked how is dinner informed of the appitizer  how it was not delivered before pizza  done with dinner and was told it was comped. Now that's how you know they are willing to take care if their customers. Especially since we are visiting this city
Review Source:It's a Boston's. I am not a huge fan of this kind of food, but every once in awhile, I find myself in one because I'm with somebody else who wants to go.
This location's bar was hopping at 9:40 on a Wednesday night. We ate in the restaurant area where there were about 3-4 tables of people. (We found ourselves here, because Outback closed at 9:30. There must not be many late night eaters in this town.)
They do not have a gluten-free menu, but our server was happy to bring out to me a little notebook of allergen information. I used it to help me find what I wanted to order, and I got the loaded cactus cuts. (I am not sure why they are called "cactus" cut, because there is no yummy cactus in them, but whatever.) Actually, I messed up and ordered just the cactus cuts (forgetting to say the word, "loaded.") Â The server wrote it down without asking me if I wanted loaded or regular (probably assuming after I read that entire notebook I was smart enough to order correctly), and I ended up with cactus cuts.
The regular cactus cuts are just a plate of very crispy, somewhat dry potato slices and a bowl of sour cream mixed with a Knorr's type mix of something. I expressed disappointment that they did not look like the picture, and our server asked me if it was the "loaded" cactus cuts I wanted. I said, "yes," he apologized (even though it was my fault) and let me eat on the plain ones while he got me some loaded ones.
The loaded ones come with a bunch of toppings including bacon, cheese, alfredo, chipotle sauce, green onions, tomatoes, etc. The one ingredient I was leery of was the chipotle. I am more of a Frank's kind of girl. Well, to my surprise, Frank's is what they came with! yay!! Granted, this dish was overly salty like all of the food here and places like it (Applebee's, Chili's, TGIFridays, etc.), but it was prepared properly. My kids' food came out how they ordered it as well. We were all content.
Our server was great. He was friendly and on top of things. He even spoke softly when we pointed out there was a sleeping baby in our party. I ended up tipping him almost 30-percent. That is how awesome he was. (I normally just round up from 20.)
The place was clean, and the bathroom had a changing table. However, the bathroom is also overly filled with air freshener, and with my allergies, that can be a nightmare. Thankfully my daughter warned me about it, and I stayed clear.
At the end of the evening, they gave us those puffy, yummy, butter mints. mmmm. Â Just what I needed to try to rid my mouth of all that salt.
If comparing this place to my normal type of restaurants, I would not give them any stars, because this just isn't my kind of place. However, when comparing this Boston's to other Boston's, they seemed right on top of the franchise's way of doing things. Clean, friendly, quick. Good job!
