I changed from 2 starts to 5. Â You can see my 1st review below but on Thursday night Aug. 2, 2012 we had a table of 10 and some idiot hostess seated all 10 expecting 8 of 10 arm amputees with the chair spacing. Â I complained to waiter Kevin and manager Kristi who he summoned and so I owe 5 stars because Kristi fixed the issue IMMEDIATELY and Kevin gave SUPERB service. Â So I think I'll rekindle spending a few hundred bucks here for company entertainment. Â Good work, great work. Â
One walks out of this place with a $50+ bill each, and our nachos had 0.69 femtograms of meat, cheese and toppings. Â I told the waitress who was great (one of the few good ones here) and she made it right. Â Same for the desert heat boneless wings, 0.05 picograms of powdered spice. Â Same for Caribbean jerk wings with 2 grains of liquid volume sauce. Â A manager pissed me off by not looking, and he said to paraphrase that is the proper portioned amount. Â LIAR! Â If my feedback isn't welcome and I know darn well I'm right then just don't go. Â The waitress confirmed what I saw and my client saw. Â Don't treat me like a fool at the kiddie table, I'm a veteran BW3 customer. Â Now spending my money at take-out wings and beers for home.
The food here is never consistent. Â One visit you might get phenomenal wings, and the next you receive dried out, reheated chicken specimen. Â The beer distributors would crap their pants if they knew that A) There is no beer list, and B) The wait staff does not even know all of the beers they have other than the new Miller 69 and Bud Light. Â Nonetheless, the wait staff is generally friendly. Â Suggestions to improve: create a beer/wine list and implement some quality controls in the kitchen to give a consistent product.
Review Source:The food was right on track for BWW. The service we had was great as well. The atmosphere was different from what I'm use to. It was smaller than the ones I'm used to, and being from Michigan I forgot that people can smoke still smoke in restaurants here. Other than that, everything was great.
Review Source:First of all I would like to address Dan G's comment about the smoking. Â Dan its a sports bar. Â People go there to eat, drink, smoke and watch sports. Â If smoking was banned they would lose a lot of business ok? Â If you want smoke free bars go to Illinois. Â Now that I've gotten that out of the way.. I think that the service here could stand some improvement. Â I think that their wings are puny, and the food in general is overpriced. Â If there was a Hooters or a Frickers in town I think this place would have to seriously step up its game or go out of business. Â If you aren't opposed to going outside of Michigan City for a better sports bar/wings experience then I recommend doing so.
Review Source:I stopped in here for dinner last night. Â Since there was a sizable line for restaurant seating, I wandered into the bar area and readily found a table. Â In addition to the crowds, there's wall-to-wall sports on the TVs and a residual tobacco stench due to the fact that indoor smoking is still partially allowed in Indiana.
I ordered a blue cheese burger and onion rings, along with the local Back Roads Pale Ale. Â It was a decent combination and the sauce on the side added a nice spice to the meal. Service was prompt from beginning to end, although I thought it was a bit detached. Â This is first time I've been to this particular chain and I'd have to think twice about patronizing another one that allows cigarette smoking within. Â Otherwise, it seems like a nice place for people to meet, greet, and eat.
I really don't think that there are better teriyaki wings in Michigan City. I'm not a fan of spicy foods, then again there are 16 different sauces from cool to spicy, and the teriyaki is perfect for me. But this isn't just a wing place. It's got some great sliders like the pulled pork sliders and terrific nachos as an appetizer. What is also good is that there is something for ever one.
This is good stuff and comparing it to the original Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY, this is better.
I love all things wingy.
Typical BW3 location with good food and beer. Â We've had some up and down service the few times we've been here. Â Seating is split into a few areas and you can sit on the first level off the bar or up in the back if dining in a cloud of smoke is not your thing. Â I don't know when Indiana is going to get with it, but to me there is nothing worse than eating with people smoking. Â They could use a little more circulation in this place, because it seems that a lot of people come to hang out in the bar game watching. Â Tons of games and TVs everywhere.
