Talk about survival (and success) of the unfit-est, reverse restaurant Darwinism at its worst. Having been to another BWW in another state and having the same terrible experience, one begins to wonder how bad are the other options to go for a beer and watch some football locally, outside the land of the misfit servers.  Or have we as a society lost all respect for our palates and run to the place with the brightest shiny lights?
At approximately 5:15pm on Sunday, myself and 2 friends stroll in for a beer or two and something to eat, simple in theory yet darn next to impossible in performance. Fifteen minutes to order our first beer was way to long, as the POS station congregation's discussion was more important than our needs, us, the paying customer.
The location was thinly populated, but as I have come to realize and accept at Fluffalo Lazy Beings, customers just will have to wait until the servers are through discussing Billy Johnny and Bobby and the date they had last night . I walked over to the three high school mentality servers and somewhat abruptly inquired who of them was to be the server this evening? They all looked at one another TOTALLY perplexed, as if I asked who is in-charge of serving the tables located on the roof this evening. Totally Clueless.. Eventually a server apologized, at that point there was little that was going to reverse the bad start. A manager came over who was quite young as well and comped our nachos which is just a gesture to quell the obvious disappointment. He was nice enough a fellow, but I could see he was a weak manager, as par for the course at this chain restaurant.
The boneless nuggets were atrocious, all breading, no flavor and 1 blue cheese for 3 options? Awful--
BWW's recipe for success?...Hire poorly trained, young high school mentality employees and churn them as often as necessary,. Works perfectly at the locations I have been to.
Having been in Food and Bev for years my reaction would have been to fire two of the four slackers, sit down with one for a review of customer interaction and promote the one girl that was busting her tail. Polishing silverware, busing tables, picking up loose paper on the floor is more of a model employee (and a trainee for manager possibly) than just hanging out as if we the customer were on their (the other female servers) time.... There is just no way would I ever return and I suggest to all the readers to review your options of smaller local establishments. Break the Chain folks, support local restaurants and bars, break the corporate chain People, we deserve better!

My husband decided on BWW for dinner, so I went along.  The wings, which I've had before at other locations, were a major disappointment.  COLD and over sauced.  When the waitress came to check on us, I was going to tell her that they were cold but she walked up and said "Is everything OK?  Good." and walked away before I could get a word out!

Husband was also disappointed.  He said the wings at Booyah's were better.

Additionally, this place is LOUD!  I also find it surprising that there are so many children there, considering it's mainly a bar.

    I won't be returning.

Tasty wings, good atmosphere, and fun trivia...

The Muskegon installment of the giant chain Buffalo Wild Wings is on par with pretty much all of the other locations I've been to (and I've even been to the one in Honolulu, HI). One thing that sets it apart is it's attempt to integrate the local scene into its decor--there are mentions and paraphernalia of most (if not all) of the local high school sports teams. I found this to be a nice touch.

My food was the usual: dozen traditional wings (all drums) with Asian Zing sauce, celery, ranch dressing, and a tall Oberon (it IS spring after all). Tasted as it always does, so I suppose that means the BDubs locations are reliable. Service was okay. This place employs lots of younger waitstaff, so they can be clumsy at times. But our server was sufficiently attentive. (I'm not a service snob anyway, so I'm probably easier to please than most.)

I also love that they offer Buzztime video trivia. It's one of the reasons I like going to BDubs. It's fun to gnaw on wings, sip cold beers, and match trivia wits with friends and strangers from across the country. And BDubs is a great place to watch a game. So many screens line the walls you're bound to be sitting close enough to a screen carrying the game you want.

My major hangup with the chain in general is the price. The wing sauces are tasty, but the wings aren't cheap. Try for a Tuesday or Thursday night when the traditional and boneless wings are on special, respectively. An afternoon of drinking beer and eating wings while you watch a football game can easily set you back $40 or more. I love coming here when I can, but I'm afraid I can't splurge quite so often.

All in all, I enjoy hitting up any BDubs location, and I have no qualms recommending this sports-oriented wing joint to anyone. Eat up!
